Excellent cd - Soundwise a little like Triumph in places. Featured Kim Hunt From The Great Zon on drums and a guest spot on Keyboards from Arnold Lani from the Excellent Frozen Ghost.Their One and only release unfortunately.

Once again a band that only released one lp, but what an lp ! I can't say it otherwise, alos very recommanded, this one is maybe not an instan classic, but oh, so close and you have to own it !!! Real AOR with class ! What more can you ask for ? !

It took a long time to figure out who these guys were. You're Not The One was on Masters Of Metal Vol. (?)I thought it was a Euro band, particularly from the guitar solo. Should have looked in my own backyard (Canada)!

This is the one and only album they recorded an absolutelly shame 'cause they really knonw how to make an strong hard rock with killer songs. The bests are Killer love, a perfect strong opening, Deagan, simply perfect, You're Not the One and Too Hot To Handle.Simply perfect if the production were better.A shame that the Long Island Re-issue is out of print. 8'5/10.Very Good!! This album helped me pass my driving test!!!!!

From: Harald Date: February 18, 2005 at 13:52
The second track 'Deagan' is the kind of song that changes life, simply perfect with those magical early 80´s backing vocals. It´s in the same mood/style that made JOURNEYs 'Separate Ways' or TOUCHs 'Don´t You Know What Love Is' an invincible classic! Don´t miss it!

I must have seen this band 1000 times in every bar in Toronto and the surrounding area!!! Ah... memories....They were great!!! Doug's voice was always amazing...first heard him when he was in Bayb, saw them 1000 times too!!! Anyone know if he's still singing these days? I lost my Urgent album in my move to Mexico 8 years ago, I'd love to get a cd of it, but down here it's not so easy, on line ordering just doesn't fly. Any ideas please contact me. Thanks! Good album, I can hear FASTWAYs "trick or treat" here and there.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: August 28, 2011 at 12:13
Sorry about the spelling mistake of Triumph indeed this band sounds like TRIUMPH especially in the way Doug Baynham sings(ala Gil Moore, drummer and singer along with Rik Emmett of the afore mentioned band)...my fave tracks are "Killer Love","Cat On The Prowl","Midnight Lover"( ),"Bad News" & "Too Hot To Handle"...a good release...85/100

Very strong album. Doug Baynham - what a great singer. Unbelievable that there shouldn't have been any other release with him. In my opinion his type of singing is comparable with Klaus Meine of Scorpions fame in certain parts, though Mr. Baynham seems to be more powerful. So if you know more about any releases (e.g. more than mentioned under www.canadianbands.com), drop me a line at pompster80@googlemail.com. Thanks!

in the start of the nineties hard fm was in state of clinic death due to the horrible grunge wawe.hopefully some very little labels (megarock in sweden, now and then in england and long island in germany)keep the flame alive.thanx to them they save our music.ok many realise of long island was very average.but sometimes they find some marvellous bands(flyte for example).urgent is a real great band.the nine songs are excellent and very catchy.the singer is a real great singer, the musicians very talented and the production is perfect.i ve always lot of pleasure to listen this jewel.i ve discover "melodic rock radio"http://rockmelodic-radio.com/ they plays a o r 24 hours on 24.exceptional.yesterday i ve listen on this radio rob mancini.i was very impress so i ve listen his record "rock n roll circus" on you tube it s an atomic bomb of a o r but the cd is impossible to find.if someone could help me.........
