One of the best efforts of Malmsteen and the one that made him known-worldwide. Although the production quality is not so much satisfactory, the melodic patterns are quite strong and make the album an 80s classic. Especially the first four songs are top-melodic and really super. The voice of Marc Boals perfectly fits Malmsteen's albums. I think the "singer-eater-and-grinder Yngwie" had to keep him for many years. A must for any fan of this much talented but selfish(!) man.

Long live the King... Hail and Kill !!!

I don't know what those guys are saying, but this is probably my favourite YM release. I like all his stuff but this one seems to be his last before he tried going commercial. Great axework on this one, Trilogy Suite just fuckin' kicks ass! I really have to purchase the CD and trash my tired old cassette of this one.

My humble apologies Baris, I absolutely knew what you were saying, and I agree. I disagree heartily with the many people who say Yngwie plays with no soul. Just because he doesn't rely only on the pentatonic doesn't mean he's got no feel. In between the 64th note runs, he'll garb a note and hang on to it, vibrato galore. I think it's just a different kind of feel. Beyond that he seems to be a real dick, but I really respect and enjoy his music, especially on this release, but also on the others.

In addition to "garb"ing a note, he also "grabs" notes...

Junio 2003.

Best Yngwie ever! This record includes magic. Trilogy suite opus 5 is best instro ever from this guy! Queen in Love, Liar, Fire... Keyboards sounds so good and Yngwie don´t get too virtuoso all the time. Cover art is also amazing. Definitely on top 10 my list. If you don´t have it, GO BUY IT!!

One of the best covers that I've seen in my life! I think that for the song "You Don't Remember, I'll Never Forget" only it worths any price. Just pick it up, play it on your radio, turn it up to the maximum. And feel the melodies of this awesome guitar hero!

Whoever says Yngwie plays with no soul is insane. There is so much feeling in his playing that it is unbelievable. This album is nothing short of a masterpiece. Awesome, killer, genuine, spectacular, and any other cool words i forgot. This album rules. Oh yeah-did i mention i like this cd? Too bad Yngwie's personality wasn't as cool as his playing. But hey if i was this good I'd have a big head too. No feeling? No way!

That is a classic album cover! Just like the last album, the best track is the opener "You Don't Remember, I'll Never Forget". The follow up tracks "Liar" and "Queen In Love" are also good rockers, but the albums goes downhill after this. 5/10

Yngwie it's increible...just like in all his albums, but in my opinion this is an improve over Marching Out, the lyrics are so perfect, the songs are so increible, and yngwie is capable of doing very sentimental solos like in You dont remeber ill never forget and fire, and solos with fire like in magic mirror and Trilogy op suite. I can listen to all the album with no interruption...even tough my less favorite one is Drak Ages.

Whilst still appreciating the high level of musicianship, I am happy to say I was also able to take away from this album a couple of songs I also enjoyed. 'You don't remember I'll never forget' and 'Queen is in love' are truly PRIME peices of melodic hard rock. Heavy, awesome riffs and massive choruses with the obligatory killer solo. Yes, this one I liked... if only for those two songs.

You Don't Remember, I'll Never Forget is worth picking this one up alone. I guess this one never really blew me away but it is worthy of a listen. Not a standard in my repetoire but alright I guess. If you get it cheap pick it up. Do not overpay. Not worth overpaying.

This one is worth it for "You Don't Remember, I'll Never Forget", "Queen In Love" and "Liar". The rest are subpar songs for Yngwie, almost like he was spent after the first three songs, BUT they are better than the majority of hard rock out there. Worth a listen at least.

You don't remember, Queen in love, The fire... temazo tras temazo

This one and Odyssey are my two faves but geez, he has a lot of great ones. His new one "perpetual Flame" is awesome too. This one's a classic. Mlamsteen shreds with great catchy melodies and Mark Boals provides some great vocals as well. Good medieval feel on this one too. Tracks 1, 2, 3, and 7 are my faves from this one. The 90/100 seems about right.
