This is the Master Of Metal Virtuoso's best commercial outing to date. The songs are all cohesive and Goran Edman's vocals are extraordinary. I highly recommend this disc to any 80's metal fanatic!!

From: Dragonfly Date: December 15, 2001 at 9:21
I agree with Chris. It's very hard to pick just one favorite release from the Guitarwizz. Out of all of his vocalist I have to pick Goran as my fav. So I'm very fond of this release as with Fire&Ice. A outstanding release.

From: koogles Date: July 20, 2002 at 14:19
Another awesome entry in the Malmsteen catalog. "Bedroom Eyes" was a totally fresh move for the fiery-fingered Swede. "Making Love" is also a melodic monster. Recommended!

From: robert Date: October 21, 2002 at 17:53

From: TIM Date: March 13, 2003 at 6:05
I agree with Koogles. I was glad he finally loosened up a bit. Bedroom Eyes rocks! Making Love is also a good tune.

From: CHIRO Date: April 8, 2003 at 21:57
THIS ALBUM BLOWS ME AWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! IT IS PERFECT!!!!!! NO MORE TO SAY

From: Jose(Spain)Sev Date: June 29, 2003 at 6:40

From: RR-Finland Date: August 28, 2003 at 5:30
Most melodic oriented Yngwie ever. Maybe best YJM album after Trilogy. Can you find any similarity between Demon Driver and Deep Purple´s Dead or Alive? Very catchy melodies and good vocals.

From: quini Date: October 10, 2003 at 6:08
one of the best malmsteen´s albums with a amazing G edman on vocals , very hard rock and very good

From: Rocker 76 Date: November 12, 2003 at 12:47
What a way to open an album..."Making Love" is an awesome tune. Pure melodic rock from one of the best guitarists ever. And Goran Edman's vocals go perfectly with Yngwie's guitar work. This is definitely recommended for fans of melodic hard rock!!

From: Jay Date: April 14, 2004 at 16:50
this album is probably the one i play the most in my car cd player, good melodies, hooks and yet still the blistering neo-classical solos.

From: Big Papa K Date: June 14, 2004 at 2:05
Maybe the most commercial of all of Malmsteen's album. This one also contains the most consisten songs. Never been a fan of Goran Edman's vocals though. 7/10

From: Rycheage Date: August 13, 2004 at 22:18
Very cohesive set of songs from the shred-master. Consistent throughout and Goran's vocals shine here. "Making Love", "Bedroom Eyes", "What Do You Want" and "Devil In Disguise" all have that 80's vibe to them. "Save Our Love" is a ballad for those who have loved and lost. Not a complete shred-fest but a real consistent set of songs. Highly recommended.

From: Papa Knows Date: September 8, 2004 at 13:46
If you love Hard Rock and Metal, take that album with you! It´s 1 of the best ones! Looks like there´s nothing enough to say about it! 9.5!

From: Geoff Date: September 8, 2004 at 21:01
'Making love' and 'Judas' are two awesome slabs of melodic hard rock. 'Save our love' is a pretty nice ballad and 'Bedroom eyes' is a cool hard rock track. As with all Yngwie releases, a lot of filler but this is one of my preferred of his releases.

From: Propane Date: December 2, 2004 at 21:32
Extremely intricate work of art, while at the same tim raw. Goram's vocals compliment this one nicely.

From: CHIRO Date: January 13, 2005 at 16:29
I NEED TO SAY IT AGAIN....THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME...THANKS YNGWIE THANKS GORAN....BOTH RULES

From: TIM (2) Date: May 4, 2005 at 13:30
This surprised me, picked it up for hardly anything and as I've never really liked any of his stuff before and really dislike Goran Edman's workmanlike vocals then my expectations were rock bottom. "Judas" and "Making Love" are just excellent slabs of commercial rock, and "Save Our Love" is a glorious ballad. More keys than I expected and more actual songs too. For the price it's highly recommended, and I will carefully check out some others of his. Hate those half-hearted vocals though. 7.5/10.

From: Remastered Reason Date: February 2, 2006 at 22:34
A more keyboard oriented album than most of Malmsteen's output, yet without question still a very accessible slab of music. Goran Edman suits the band just well & an enjoyable listen.

From: davedropd Date: December 7, 2006 at 23:00
Just listened to this for the 1st time in a while, wow forgot it was that good. Most songs on this just explode from the speakers with a fury of guitar, or guitar and keyboards. Best song is judas, but demon driver and motherless child rock too. Making love has an incredible solo. This and odyssey are the best I have heard from Yngwie, because I have not heard any of the newer stuff, but this one rocks!

From: Magnus Date: March 31, 2007 at 21:38
Only two words : Göran Edman!

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: October 29, 2007 at 12:38
HUGE CD 95/100 PURE SWEDISH 80's MELODIC METAL one the most commercial album by the SHRED MASTER very easy to catch like a NORDIC version of "ODYSSEY" !Good line up as always !even if the emotional voice of GORAN EDMAN is quite different from the previous singers !All the guitar solos are very impressive with a good focus on the melodies !'Bedroom eyes'is the first HENDRIX oriented song later you can compare it to'i don't know'or'cherokee warrior'GREAT STUFF even if U R not into YJM stuffs

From: metalhead4life Date: December 16, 2008 at 11:04
Another change in vocalists for Yngwie which is becoming a trend and stays a trend for him all the way through present. He picked a very good vocalist here. Goran Edmund sounds good with his melodic high pitched voice that suits these Melodic Metal songs that are on the Glam side. Tracks 3, 4, and 7 are my faves on this one. "Demon Driver" is a cool song with such a cool solo. While this one is good, the follow up is much better IMO. This one gets an 85/00 from me.

From: edwithmj Date: April 15, 2011 at 18:51
Yngwie's best, hands down. Motherless Child, Bedroom Eyes and Devil In Disguise are my picks from this one.

From: blackkblade5 Date: November 11, 2012 at 13:57
from the polydor years this is the last press from sweden guitar wizard, big mistake because eclipse is a fine melodic rock set,not so heavy and fast as odissey but a well produced and catchy album.STANDOUTS from the intial making love with amazing vocals by goran edman to the harder bedroom eyes followed by the huge melodic save our love, just this 3 songs make this album a excelente pick, then we have a couple of treats here, such as =devil in disguise, what do you want and my fav faultine, amazing song, great chorus, nice keys also,in conclusion the fast intrumental eclipse with all the skills ,sweeps, arpeggios you can get in a overdose shape ,very comum from mr malmsteen...AMAZING ALBUM

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 23, 2014 at 0:13
A bombastic melodic rock/metal album by the one and only Yngwie!!!,basically all the songs kick major a** indeed..."Devil In Disguise" & "Judas" are my faves but tracks 1,2,3(killer mid tempo),4,7 & 8 are in the same package as well...highly recommended stuff...INDEED!!!...95/100

From: hair metal again Date: September 17, 2014 at 8:44
fantastic release by MALMSTEEN once again and now things are just where they should be,commercial ,hard rockin with explosive songs and choruses like "making love","save our love","devil in disguise","judas" and "what do you want"!essential
