with this collection of early Johnny Van Zant songs you hear a mix of Skynyrd and 38 Special. the song "It's You" could have been on a 38 Special album and "Yesterdays Gone" has special guest Steve Perry and John Cain of Journey. "Last Of The Wild Ones" is a don't mess with me or else song. overall a good alubm, maybe not played often but still nice to have.

It is a shame that they choose not to include any songs from the 1985 Van Zant cd on this collection. I don't know if it was a pissing match between record labels or waht but some of Johnny's best solo work came from the 1985 Van Zant album

very good cd of all works, shame that Last of the Wild Ones is ooprint or never on cd? That was a great aor/rock album, as well as the first JVZ band album. This has some great songs and if u thought this was only southern rock, u r in for a treat, very melodic stuff on this, great one!!!
