From: TIM Date: August 16, 2002 at 12:01
I think you'd like this one David.

From: TIM (info) Date: August 16, 2002 at 12:05
Produced by KEITH OLSEN (SAMMY HAGAR, THE BABYS etc) the band also enlisted the help of top session guitarist TIM PIERCE (RICK SPRINGFIELD) and members of Canadian act SAGA (Michael Sadler sings backing vocals on all tracks while Jim Crichton programmed the keys). JAMES KOTTAK (SCORPIONS) plays Drums.

From: TIM Date: August 16, 2002 at 12:11
I'd forego the Signal cd if I were you David and get this one.

From: TIM Date: August 16, 2002 at 12:24
If your a fan of Shark Island's "Law of the Order" then you'll appreciate this one.

Finally this CD makes it into the HeavyHarmonies data base! A real powerhouse! Fans of Baton Rouge or Def Leppard will have their hair blown back by the wall of sound courtesy of Keith Olsen. I love this CD!! "Heart and Soul" is a masterpiece. Too bad they only made one. A true gem.

From: TIM Date: August 19, 2002 at 11:44
"Heart and Soul" is fantastic as koogles mentioned. Highly recommended!

From: Nukster Date: August 22, 2002 at 9:51
Saw them live in Birmingham England way back in 1990 supporting Little Angels and believe me if LAngels had produced a show stopping performance these guys would have blown them away. At the time the band were unknown and it was a shame they did not hit the big time .. or at least a second album. Great album.

Bought the LP and realy got impressed by the great produktion och the melodies, The A:side´s great but the B has it´s weakness. But alltogether it´s a good album 7/10. Enjoy!

From: tomcat Date: May 15, 2003 at 19:58
from england, i hear this album for the first time somewhere around 1991 or so and you think, hey, theze guys are so good, there have to be a follow up..but nowadays, anno 2003 , still no follow up, i think there won't be one ..but i agree with you all ...this is an album full with goood melodies .an example of a professional sounding rock disc, a bit like blue blud, but better..and blue blud is good too.. batcave777@hotmail.com

From: Rycheage Date: August 31, 2003 at 17:55
Fantastic AOR with a tinge of progressiveness. "Heart And Soul"rocks. Great sound. Too bad they made only one CD. This will blow you away.

From: robert Date: August 31, 2003 at 18:11
Para mi gusto, un disco muy normalito. Un aprovadito justo.

From: erik Date: September 5, 2003 at 5:38
very very very nice indeed. Heart and soul is a brilliant song. If anyone needs some songs from this album just email me at erikhardam@hetnet.nl cheers

From: jarett r. Date: October 1, 2003 at 2:07
pj smith sang backing vocals on a def leppard song.

From: EnglishBob Date: October 24, 2003 at 15:51
This album just kicks ass. Blown away by it in the UK when it first came out, I can't believe it never got the airplay it deserved. Maybe someone's marketing team needed to be fired. From everything I heard, the band split up before making a second album, and it was a great loss to us all. Far, far too professional a band to deserve being one hit wonders.

From: ARNAUD Date: January 12, 2004 at 12:35
GREAT ALBUM!!!AN AOR MASTERPIECE!A FABULOUS MIX OF HAREM SCAREM, GIANT AND DEF LEPPARD.THIS ALBUM KILL!!!

From: Viv Date: January 19, 2004 at 13:53
I've just managed to get hold of this on CD having only had the album previously. Not heard it for years but it still sounds brilliant. Incredible songwriting and vocals/harmonies. Just can't believe they only did the one album. Such a pity cos they coulda/should been HUGE!

From: MJ (Marla) Date: February 1, 2004 at 0:49
I just love this one too!! I see all the comparisons made here....but I'm also hearing a little bit of Johnny Gioeli and even some Danny Vaughn....with a bit of Rocco Fury.... I think "Shake" And "Stay" are my favorites here....but I really like them all...

From: Sean Date: April 21, 2004 at 16:01
Best album in the world with the best group ever. All time classic album.

From: Wolle (Ger) Date: May 17, 2004 at 13:50
Great Album, from first to last Song - sale, sale, sale!!!

From: Chris Date: May 20, 2004 at 5:43
Reminiscent of Def Leppard and a singer that could be Sammy Hagars brother, you will be surprised at how original this sounds. Took quite a while to come up with those 2 points of comparison. A solid melodic hard rock Cd that should have done much better and had a major label release. This cd sets a standard for little known indie band offerings. There is no reason at all why this should not have been picked up and given big promotion. We can't even blame Nirvana, as this came out first!

From: TIM (2) Date: June 21, 2004 at 4:28
This is more Thunder/Little Angels than Def Leppard, and surely can't be described as AOR, but for me this is worth the entry price alone for "Heart and Soul" with it's totally overblown harmony vocals and killer mix of guitar/keys. The rest is very good, but doesn't come close to the opener...

From: Rocker76 Date: July 15, 2004 at 9:34
Unlike everyone else, I thought this album's standout tracks were "On the Edge" and "Stranger". But there wasn't a bad song to be found and "Heart and Soul" did kick the album off nicely and set the pace for the remainder. "Shake" was typical AOR (nice) and I thought the acoustic & bluesy feel to "Waters Flow" was very well done. Not sure about the Def Leppard connection but the Baton Rouge point makes sense...fans of The Storm may also want to check this out. Rating 7/10

From: Kip Date: September 16, 2004 at 5:30
On The Edge is my favorite song here. I don't particularly care for the opener, or any of the other tracks actually. Too soft for me

From: Harro Date: December 18, 2004 at 19:38
My cd has an orange cover not a blue one maybe this is just the Australian pressing?

From: Sticks Date: January 6, 2005 at 10:40
I've just rediscovered this fantastic album ! A must have, melodic but still powerful...

From: Rocker76 Date: February 25, 2005 at 6:36
Went back and listened to this again, and still agree that the best tunes here are "On The Edge" and "Stranger." The ballads were average at best ("Stay") and the attempts to get bluesy were tastefully done. Not essential AOR in my book, but not a wasted purchase either. And I don't see this around used music stores a lot, so grab it if you see it.

From: z4roxx Date: November 14, 2005 at 13:08
This disc has a stellar production, sounding that I really like a lot.I think.I think I am divided in 2 parts in the disc:a middle of songs are very good, the others sound like a quite fillers but not totally crap.BTW it’s a good slab of melodick hard rock with a solid production and great sounds.Don t like very much singer but he’s ok anyway…

From: CC Date: December 16, 2005 at 10:57
I have owned this on cassette since I picked it up cheap in about 1993,but rarely listened to it! Was always a fan of the song "Stay" though! Just recently I picked it up on CD (cheap again) and I cant believe I didnt listen to this one more. Ok,I know Heart & soul cause my friend plays it on her radio show, but the rest of the album is nearly as good as the two tracks I know & love! This will be played a lot more now I think!

lo escucho y comento ok ??

From: metalizzer Date: March 29, 2007 at 18:27
very good album ! i don´t see any thing in here that sounds like shark island or baton rouge (and i love this bands!). they are great because they´re very well produced and original!

From: juan carlos Date: April 2, 2007 at 21:23

From: rick kerch vzla Date: April 4, 2007 at 20:01
Juan Carlos te recomiendo aparte el video de la cancion "Heart&Soul",es excelente!!!.

From: mauricio Date: April 4, 2007 at 20:39

Lovely album. Starts off brilliantly and flows smoothly from start to finish. Great vocals, great keys, great guitars and grat songs. You can't go wrong with this one, it's fantastic.

From: 123charpenay Date: January 16, 2013 at 12:34

From: rick kerch vzla Date: August 21, 2015 at 20:06
One of my last concert while living in England was of this act,i don't remember if it was supporting Gun or Thunder but well the only thing i can tell you is that this act rocked real good...it's a shame they only recorded one album and then vanished..."Heart & Soul" is a hymn to say the least and by far the best cut they did...tracks 2,4,7 & 9(quite AORish here and there) are other fine moments in here...80/100

From: hair metal again Date: March 29, 2017 at 9:42
excellent debut for NO SWEAT a band that was set to make it big ,but somehow that couldnt happen with their tunes !dont get me wrong ,the band was excellent but it couldnt go to the masses with their sound being so perfect and their music a bit complicated!Keith Olsen does a fantastic job and e s a feelgood vibe all over ,but not as hard rocking as it should! if i had to make a comparison i d say that they were the UNRULY CHILD of this side!essential
