The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Steve Vai CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Steve Vai are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

I cried when I heard this album. Loved it. Devin is awesome.

From: shoemaker Date: July 3, 2008 at 15:21
I cried also, cause itīs so terrible.

From: edwithmj Date: January 21, 2009 at 22:27
This album is NOT terrible it is in fact very good. It grows on you with each listen. The artist is not Steve Vai technically. Steve actually formed a band for this one and called it "Vai". Vai brought in Devin Townsend to do the vocals who is now in a band called Strapping Young Lad. The album starts of pretty strong and Townsend's vocals are strong and powerful but towards the end it gets a bit tiresome. Tracks 2,3,4,7,8,9 are the best with track 2 "In My Dreams With You being the best. 85/100

ok release by STEVE VAI and it could have been better with another singer i think!his way of singin is heavy and raw and i d prefer a more rockin voice!the songs are ok ,but nothin mindblowin and the musicianship as expected very good!highlights are Desmond s "in my dreams with you","still my bleeding heart " and "rescue me ,or bury me"!interesting release!

A very varied and musically complex album, a lot of different feelings, a lot of technical brilliance (the fantastic line-up)- I've borrowed some terms from another author of a comment on an different band but it suits here perfectly. There is spectrum of music from John Wetton to Mike Patton so it's rather difficult to describe this hard n' heavy in a few words. If I had to pick up one emotionally similar album to me I would choose the third Extreme. On the other hand I agree with edwithmj about the end of this album and also because of that I rate "just" 85/100.

When I bought way back in the day when it was released, little did I know that it would be my introduction to the world of Devin Townsend. What's not to love? Some excellent performances on this album.
