Damn this cd has given me some `sore` neck muscles This is the perfect AIR GUITAR-DRINK BEER CD. Sadly.....music are not beeing made like this anymore. This is `oldfashioned ' Hard Rock. The way it should be. |

"Great White Buffalo" is Ted's all time best song! This live version is really good. I'm not big on live albums but this one is worth the money. |

One of the most definitive live albums ever made! It's smokin'!! |

Man, did we used to crank this one to ear-splitting levels back then! This is what immortalized my brother's stereo system (in his truck!) Live albums don't get any better than this! Ted at his best! |

This double disc set is one of the best live recordings ever! Ted is at at his best in this late 70's release, which sounds just as good to this very day. This album was passed down to me by my older sister, and I must say, I wore out many a needle on my record player, listening to this one. From the first track to the last....every tune rocks, and Teds guitar work, along with a really good band, make this a musical gem! Stranglehold,Great White Buffalo, and the instrumental Hibernation are tops! |

A furious live assault of kick-ass guitar by the Nuge. Beats any of his studio albums. I even prefer these live versions over any of the studio counterparts. Great White Buffalo may be the best Nuge tune ever. And the between-song raps are truly hilarious! If you don't like this album then you really don't like Nugent. |

Agree, agree, agree with all! This is probably one of the best live albums ever. Really captures what Ted was all about, and at his peak.Ted Nugent was stripped downed, straight ahead, wide open killer jams.True, they don't play it like this anymore, such a shame. I once picked this as the one album that I would take with me on a deserted island, still, after all the years, a good choice. If you like it loud, hard, raw, and wide open, then this is for you! 9.5/10. |

This one is the reason I had to see Nuge at Cal Jam 2. I wanted to see if he could shoot the balls off a charging Rhino at 60 paces. I went, he did! Full adrenaline and no holds barred, this one. |

Simply put, one of the greatest live albums ever recorded. A classic from day one! As much as I liked Ted Nugent's first three albums they didn't have the aggression, the attitude, and the sonic punch of these live performances. Ted is at home on the stage where he gets the chance to let it rip. Double Live Gonzo! is perhaps my all time favorite live album. Only Thin Lizzy-Live & Dangerous, Judas Priest-Unleashed in the East and Kiss-Alive come close to touching the greatness on Gonzo! |
From: Metalhead66 | Date: December 21, 2004 at 15:53 |
Man this thing is so etched in my brain...I got this when it came out and I still think it's Nugents best.I have personally stole more guitar riffs off this, the other being Van Halen's 1st.Ted was Gonzo'd out to the Max (you bet your ass,you bet your ass baby)....They don't make like this or Kiss Alive or AC/DC If you want Blood, Thin Lizzy' live and Dangerous..Man I can smell the Smoke, crack open a cold one and crank it to 10!!!!!! 10/10!!! |

Oh, yeah! If you don't know what rock'n'roll is all about, listen to this masterpiece, really one of the best live albums EVER! Anyway, the old Epic edition (2 CDs) was a shame, in my opinion, 'cause the sound quality was simply disgusting: thanks God, now Rock Candy Records has just re-relased the record with a wonderful (and powerful) remasterd sound, in a single disc edition for the first time! What are you waiting for? BUY IT!!!!!! |

Cool double live shot by "Uncle Ted"..."Motor City Madhouse" is my fave song in here and tracks 9 & 10 are also on my list...as a fan of the man himself i could say that this is maybe not his best live effort but it still manages to catch the attention because of the wild and raw way of playing the songs.80/100 |
