I just got this cd the other day, the song writing is quite good and is an enjoyable listen if you like the late 80's hard rock sound like me. The mixing on the album is alright, BUT I'm sure a lot of other people will agree with me on saying that the recording and the final production on the album is SHOCKING! It sounds like it was recorded with bad mics and a dodgy 4 track recorded, you really would expect better from a label like Escape Music Ltd.

Another goodie. Not a classic one, but worth bein heard. Give these new bands a chance, guys and girls. If I listen to 'old' bands like Harem Scarem, Leppard, Dokken well, then I have to say this new band is better. OK. the production could be better, but if they had the same budget as the above named acts , they would blow them away these days (not in their heydays, except Harem Scarem, which is never been a good band). Fair is fair.

This album just gets better with every listen!, It's such late 80's, early 90's party rock!

From: Rycheage Date: June 9, 2003 at 0:53
I am not sure when this was recorded, but to these ears, this sounds like it was recorded in 1983! The guys are from Canada and fit nicely into the cult AOR sound that was of it's time in 1983 - swift keyboards, hollow sounding vocals and a then commercially friendly FM rock radio melodies. The production is Ok, but as I said if this is a recently written and recorded album, the sound is very classic early 80's.

Don´t waste your money. If anybody gives it away to you, cool. If not, it doesn´t even deserve the walk to your nearest record store.

Not correct at all, Horacio. This is good AOR, after all it's on Escape, the best label for pure AOR. Not classic stuff, I said that earlier, but worth listening to. There is much more rubbish out these days !

From: AOR freaky Date: December 16, 2003 at 9:06
Good AOR on one of the best AOR labels, Escape !

From: Geoff Date: September 23, 2004 at 7:10
This one is just odd. Some very ordinary and extremely banal hard rock. Almost glammy in portions... but then thrown into the mix you have yourself a couple of AOR / melodic gems. I remember seeing the review on Melodicrock.com when it came out, speaking of the odd variations and man was it correct. It's a strange collection, but do yourself a favour and check out the melodic rock highlights - well worth your while!

Good album for the late 80´s sound lovers. You won´t find better tracks on the first Hardline or Firehouse releases than 'No Telling Lies' and 'Victim Of Innocence'. Recommend.

From: headbanger4life Date: October 20, 2005 at 3:57
This one is not what I expected. It was a little more hyped up than it actually sounded. Don't get me wrong. It's good AOR but I was expecting something a little more rockin. The production wasn't what I expected either. Still pretty good AOR though.

From: Erik Date: November 24, 2005 at 11:33
Have the same feeling with this one as Geoff. Strange mix of songs/styles. Love the songs 2,4, 6 and song 8(Hanging) is the best melodic rock song on this album. Descent album. Nothing more, nothing less.

From: z4roxx Date: November 7, 2006 at 13:06
I thought this was more bad after the comments but it’s very good for me.Few filler moments and some very good songs but totally I can give 8/10 to this one.Strange mix of old aor style with powerful hard rock elements.

From: juan carlos Date: July 2, 2007 at 19:25
Solo 4 ó 5 temas que realmente valen, producción solo ok pudo ser múcho mejor. La AORera "Lifeline", "Hanging" Melodic Rock del buenísimo, "No Telling Lies", "Victim of Illusion" y "Lost and Found" las mejores. AOR/MR aceptable. 7.8/10

From: Kim HP Date: May 20, 2011 at 21:52
No way this was recorded in 2001 - just listen to the music, and look at the band picture... this just SCREAMS '87-88 or so. In any case, an excellent album, a mix of AOR, hard rock and glam/party rock. Great vocals, lots of keys...every track is enjoyable. Easily 9/10.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: May 23, 2011 at 23:28
I have mixed feelngs towards this album...it is a good leading to just an acceptable one...a matter of tastes i guess...the songs really needed that "punch" to make them big...anyway "She Gets What She Wants","Victim Of Illusion","Lost And Found"(nice bass line),"Hanging","Life Line" & "One More Chance"(nice softy)...David Cremin's vocals are pretty decent for these knds of songs...83/100

very good cd!

From: hair metal again Date: November 9, 2015 at 14:00
excellent release by ROULETTE many years after these songs were first recorded!the basics are done pretty good and its one of those releases that cover the whole range of the hair metal genre from classic hard rock,to glammier or more melodic tunes!"hangin on the line" is a sensational song!great stuff ,a celebration of commercial hard rock music!

From: 123charpenay Date: September 2, 2016 at 16:35
the first song is great.not more nothing sensational.the rest ? track 6 could be a good song but the choruse is awful limit ridiculous.the other songs are a pity.how a producer could put one euro or one dollar on a so weak material?mystery!!!!
