If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular American Dog CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from American Dog are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

This is the perfect example of what this band is like live. Loud, Proud, Mean, Nasty and generally out of control!!! This cd is what rock and roll is supposed to be about, having a great time. I hope music continues to go in this direction because the current trend in the music business SUCKS!!! Bravo to American Dog for carrying the torch!

From: Brent Kearton Date: June 30, 2002 at 19:02
Loud, raw and whiskey soaked! Very cool w/ songs about my favorite things...BOOZE & CHICKS. I was glad to see the legendary Eric Moore of THE GODZ even made a cameo appearance at this live show. A must have and there are a limited number of these discs that came with a bottle opener (mine was oneof them). Gotta get 'a runnin' to a show or SOMEWHERE TO GET THIS CD!!

"Drank too much"... You know, I still like the way that Jimmi used to do this song. Many Hollywood nights spent listening to him.

From: whiskey agogogo Date: February 20, 2003 at 23:09
Michael dissed Jimmi in an interview a while back. In my opinion, he's got it backwards. Jimmi WAS sd. No doubt the brains to swing the Geffen deal. (Again, my opinion only) It was the style of music that fell out of favor with the listening public, particularly when Kurt C. hit the scene. Michael shouldn't be pointing fingers......... Plenty of blame to go around IMO

This CD is a perfect 10 because it features everything that makes A.D. an awesome live band. Plus, how can you not love that title??? This is music to get drunk with!!! YEAH!!!

From: Dean Date: February 12, 2005 at 18:04
Most of the studio versions of these tunes were also on the Hilljack cd-which was basically AD with a different guitarist. One of these days I've gotta submit that cd.

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: August 11, 2009 at 15:40
Cool little live-in-the-studio EP, with great atmosphere. It just sounds like a great big party. A couple tunes from the debut, and a few more from a previous incarnation of the band called Hilljack, including the rarely played "Just An Alcoholic." Hannon's stage raps and general clowning around are hilarious, adn the band is on fire.

From: MetalPete67 Date: May 25, 2010 at 16:02
All right. The title of this disc alone rates it extremely high. The fact that it actually delivers what you expect, makes it a MANdatory disc. There is little to say other than if you are a guy that likes chicks, beer, and raw rock music on the heavy side, then you must own this or relenquish your moniker of "SMF". Ante up, or go next door to the martini bar, homo.
