Eric's best solo album, tracks of worth include "Fly on a Wall", "Somethin' From Nothin" and my favorite, "No One Said Goodbye". Good introspective MOR release, the German pressing has the "Mad About You" song, "I Love the Way You Love Me" as the bonus track. |

M.O.R (Middle of the Road) is exactly where I'd put Mr. Martin after hearing his latest 2 solo offerings. Preferably a very busy road. They're nothing like this excellent release, which is very laid-back and excellently written. Is Jap only, and will cost a bit more off eBay but is worth tracking down. His latter solo albums are dirt cheap, but you get what you pay for... |

Precioso. Quizás su mejor disco en solitario, o uno de los mejores. El bonus track "I love the way you loves me" es mi favorita, aunque hay temazos como: Fly on a wall, no one say goodbe o Have I been here before.

"Somethin' From Nothin'" "Somewhere In The Middle" "I Wrote The Book" "Fly On A Wall" y "No One Said Goodbye" los mejores. 7.5/10 |

Very moody and relaxing album,do not expect anything like Mr Big or his firsts AOR solo albums, this is more of a personal record.."Fly On A wall" is a nice track,"Wink And A Smile" is excellent,"Don't Count Me Out" is another nice one,"Better Day" has a very optimistic lyric,"That's What I'm Here For" has some John Cougar Mellecamp feel to it,"somethin' From Nothin'" is very pleasent and "Over My Heart" is beautiful...Eric Martin is undoubtebly one of the most soulful singer around the bussines and still kicking heads off with the 2010 Mr Big reunion!..check this album out if u are in the middle of the night with a good bottle of wine and your girl...it would be the perfect soundtrack!.80/100 |

Is this on anyone else's?? BTW> my fav songs are Somewhere In The middle and Over My Heart..and the "bonus" song is done quite well. |

A few years ago I met this guy by coincidence in the corridor of a jazz club in a remote part of central Europe, we said a few words and I found he is like this album - humble and open-hearted. His work here is very similar to those brothers in arms' projects who ruled rock arenas ten years before this album - Jon Bon Jovi, Mike Tramp, Joey Tempest, Danny Vaughn ... and sometimes, because of the atmosphere it reminds me some Carl Verheyen's albums. The songs here have a quite simple structure with the perfect vocal, almost a semi-acoustic form in mid/slow tempo. So if you are looking for a good pop rock album with a pinch of soft jazz, southern rock and soul this could be a nice choice. 70/100. |
