| This album is just increible. To me this band always sounded a lot like 220 VOLT, an other favorite band of mine. MAD MAX were increible.

| second album from this german band but the first with michael voss on lead vocals(only 19 years old at that time).a little bit heavier than the later albums. check out "shout and cry" with the george lynch-style intro. good album but "night of passion" is their masterpiece.

| Yes, this is a good album. I got this cd for $9 at ebay, i wonder if it's any rare? My copy doesn't have any label information or cat n.r. By the way, is "Stormchild" their first album?

| hi kim!"stormchild" is the third album, originally released in 1985 on roadrunner records and later re-released on axe killer records/france in 1998. the first album is self-titled and featured original-singer andreas baesler.

| Wasn't this album available on Metal Blade Records at some point? Because I can almost swear I remember reading that they were the worst selling band in Metal Blade history. They licensed it from Roadrunner for the USA and it only sold 500 (!) copies, the rest were returned to the distributor. Even for underground metal that's pretty bad!

| Pensaba que iva a ser una mierda,pero es la hostia de bueno, de lo mejor que he escuchao de rock melódico de los 80 es de 9 puntos el disco,comprarlo merece la pena,es caņero y muy pegadizo y el cantante tiene una voz de puta madre.

| Hmmmm, not sure about this one. I'm a huge fan of Michael Voss to the point where I think he is a genius, but this CD doesn't really do it for me. Cool metal I guess, but I like what he did later a lot more.

| Mad Max did not have it the right way in this debut album,quite dull honestly,plain and simple Heavy Metal or Heavy Rock."Fly Fly Away" is a good song but not the solid track that people always expect from debut albums,"Evil Message" lift up hopes as is a very good track,"Losing You" became Mad Max's classic song,average tracks are "Stranger" and the instrumental one,"Shout And Cry" is a highlight but "Rollin' Thunder" and "Thoughts Of A Dying Man" are aweful,"Riding Through The Night" is a good song...not essential shamely but like always respecting people's opinions and of course recognizing Mad Max's evolution as a band after this release.78/100
