Don't waste your hard earned $3.00 for this one.

From: Jenni Date: June 2, 2002 at 20:04
I thought that this CD was cool...suprised to find that Tony Harnell from TNT sings backup vocals. Mirror, Last Night and Miles Away are my favorites

From: Federico Date: June 3, 2002 at 14:06
What a strange name. Tonto is an italian word, It means stupid or dumb. To me this name sound like dumb dumb or stupid stupid or dull dull. Maybe I will check out something from them.

I gave this a few listens, but it is boring. Nothing really jumped out and grabbed me. Might make decent elevator music.

From: EL LOKO Date: September 8, 2002 at 13:07
RIDICULOUS NAME FOR A BAND.

From: David Date: December 10, 2002 at 9:28

Through most of the songs, they build them up with a blanket of acoustic guitar, before Wattenberg's lead guitar cuts through like a hot knife on the solos. The opener 'Mirror' and the fantastic 'Last Night' are some good examples. Their first single 'Miles Away' tries to go for jugular, in much the same way that Extreme did 'More Than Words', though the execution is not as immediate. If you like the Riverdogs, then chances are, you'll love these guys.

How can you not like this album? Mirror is a great song, Home Is A Face You Know will break your heart, Real Today and If It Rains All Day are awesome. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up!

From: Geoff Date: August 29, 2004 at 23:59
I really like the vocals, but it is not a very exciting album. Very average songs are the majority here, though some sound pretty good I must say. A decent vibe, just could have used a few more rockers. Reminds me of a much less melodic, almost unplugged version of Loud and Clear, mostly because the vocals remind me of Jess Harnell. Okay release - get it for really cheap.

From: oliver Date: October 5, 2004 at 13:56
very average release. no catchy tunes, no good melodies. not worth the 3 or 4$.

From: Justin Date: November 3, 2004 at 9:22
Excellent AOR! One of my fave! And the name Tonto Tonto isn't stupid, it's just weird, OK?

From: Rab Date: December 18, 2004 at 12:47
Bought this years ago and did not like it on first listen. Went back to it later and thought how did I not like this. Brilliant cd, miles away superb though I think some songs needed a bit more power.Keep listening to it - its a grower.

From: Mr AOR Date: December 19, 2004 at 21:16
These guys are great. No, it's not over the top pomp AOR, but it's classic in terms of strong song writing, good chops, and understated melodies. I rate this a 9.5. Yes, it is mellow and elevator-ish. Kinda reminds me of John Waite brand of AOR.

THE GREATEST NAME EVER HEARD FOR A BAND!!!COMPLIMENTS TONTO TONTO!!!AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: February 18, 2005 at 13:07

From: ghettonation73 Date: June 26, 2005 at 20:18
I PICKED UP THIS CD USED AT "TAKE 2" IN GREENFIELD WI, I LISTENED TO IT AND DIDN'T CARE FOR IT, AND TRADED IT IN ABOUT 3 MONTHS LATER!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 18, 2006 at 21:34
With all those suggestions listed above...i wouldn't give a penny 4 these guys. The name is funny though,in spanish means "Stupid-stupid".C'omon give us a break!!!!!.

From: z4roxx Date: December 24, 2006 at 12:19
Even here this name means stupid/idiot but the music is all except this.wonderful and complete melodick hard rock of a rare beauty and interest. They start a song in a soft way to finish with energy, all around a great originality. One of the interestest bands I do have. It’s better a funny name with a great music than the contrary(for example Marionette,Manikin Laff etc)

From: dougie Date: June 5, 2007 at 17:38
Its a pity these guys didn't release more stuff as this is excellent and a real grower. Its not for the hard rockers but those with a discerning taste. The name? What the hell, you have Tora Tora and Sing Sing so go for it!

From: ghettonation73 Date: August 18, 2010 at 7:26
How did the band ever come up with this name? I myself didn't care for this cd.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: May 9, 2011 at 21:19
Despite the name and after a real listening of this record, well it ended up 2 be a quite simple album with some decent rather than good cuts...for me the band is like an average mix of Dan Reed Network,Lenny Kravitz,Circle Of Soul & a light version of Living Colour..."Mirror" could be the highlight of the record,a song that starts in a nice subtle way an it ends edgy,"Miles Away(Too Fast For You)" is a good acoustic track..."All The Love In The World","Stop What You're Doing" & "December" are also acceptable ones...at the end nothing 2 kill 4 honestly...80/100

From: Mace Date: February 6, 2014 at 7:33
I saw this listed on eBay for $4 free postage. Came here to read reviews... Wow you guys hate it... I decided to buy it anyway... What have I got to lose? If it sucks like you all say, well it only cost me a coffee!

From: hair metal again Date: January 21, 2017 at 5:36
very good debut for TONTO TONTO and a quite unique one ,as they slide from electric tunes to semi acoustics in a smooth way!the musicianship is excellent and the vocals very very good!some songs are fine like "miles away' 'all the love of the world "," mirror" and overall a nice 90 s hard rock indie for experienced listeners!recommended
