Up until this point, Point Blank had always been associated with a more Southern rock sound. This album is a mixture of the traditional sound of old and a more mature AOR as is evident on the tracks 'Let me stay with you tonight' & 'The way you broke my heart'. American Excess also provided the band with their one and only chart 'Hit' in 'Nicole'. Definately worth buying especially now as you can find it as a 2on1 with the magnificent 'On A Roll' album.

I must say that I believe 'Nicole' is one of the finest recordings ever made. What a kickass song. It belongs on an 80's compilation ...with Donnie Iris 'Ah Leah' and Martin Briley 'Salt of my Tears'! Think I will go make that compilation right now, in fact!

In agreement with Jez comment...the ones that i like the most are "Go On Home","The Way You Broke My Heart" & "Do It All Night"...but also there are some other tracks that are very good ones such as "Let Me Stay With You Tonight","Nicole" & "Restless"...80/100
