If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular The Toll CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from The Toll are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

This one is really bad.

From: Troy Date: July 26, 2002 at 10:39
I actually found this recording refreshing compared to the grunge I had to put up with when I discovered it. It really is not that bad and there are some pretty good songs here. I recommend 1, 2, 4-6. Not for everyone, but pretty decent considering some of the stuff being put out right now and in the past 10 years. Still gets regular rotation.

If you ever saw this band live, you would absolutely change your tune. This is one of the most amazing bands I had ever seen. Every song on this disc is great, with a special nod to "Colorblind", "Happy", "Never Enough" and especially, "Boys Are Bustin' Bricks."

Agree with Curtis on this one. I saw this band in Manchester, England, one rainy winters night and was totally blown away. I must have been to hundreds of gigs in my time and this one was up there in the top two or three. Absolutely awesome passion and commitment to the music. The first album, 'The Price Of Progression' gives a much better idea of just what this band were capable of.

Wow... this one brings back memories. I saw the Toll open for the Ramones back in 1991 at a nightclub in Spring Valley, NY. They were unannounced, I guess they were added to the bill late, so I had no idea who they were, but they blew me away! I can still hum the chorus of "American Mess" to this day. Too bad my cassette copy of this album is long lost and it seems to be tuff to find on CD these days.

Freddy or john g...I was the Toll's bassist. If you need copies of anything, feel free to email me at fotobass@yahoo.com. John, the Manchester gig was Edwards #8, right? I can't remember the name of the club for sure, but I remember a great response from a smallish crowd.

yeah, there was nothing like this band live. something bout the struggle beats any john cougar type song of the day.
