If I remember correctly, these guys sounded like a horrible AC/DC clone. I got rid of it in a hurry.

From: jason Date: June 4, 2002 at 20:26
It's not listed here but, Simon Wright (ex-AC/DC drummer) joined this band at some point. I think it was after this album because in 1990 I think Simon was still playing drums for DIO. AND YES TIM, Rhino Bucket does sound like a horrible AC/DC.

From: dokken6008 Date: June 21, 2002 at 3:35
An interesting fact is that Brian Forsythe (formerly of KIX; he played on all their albums) is now Rhino Bucket's new guitarist as of 2001 when the band regrouped. Actually all of the players BUT Fields are now back with the band. "Jackie Enx" is actually Liam Jason--he (or she, rather) is now a transexual!!!! I look foward to hearing Forsythe playing on a new RB recording as he is a fantastic guitarist, and me being a huge KIX fan, I'll be sure NOT to miss it! RBucket is okay in my book.

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: June 21, 2002 at 18:08
I have a song by Rhino Bucket called "No Friend Of Mine." It's not to bad, just don't think of them as a AC/DC rip off. Just take it for what it's worth and then it's alright.

From: dokken6008 Date: June 22, 2002 at 4:52
Ah, "No Friend Of Mine". That tune belongs to the good (but not GREAT) second outing from RB, 'Get Used To It' (1992). Rhino Bucket to me is just one of few bands who I believe their first studio record to be their best. 'Pain' (1994), their 3rd & latest cd (which also featured the drumming talents of former AC/DC drum-man, as j. mentioned) was RB's worst. They had forgone all creativity by that time. And j., it's OKAY to call RB an AC/DC rip-off--that's what they are. Not a problem with me....

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: June 22, 2002 at 14:43
Thanks for the info. D-6008. And YES, you are right about the AC/DC rip. What I mean is, if you never heard AC/DC than these guys would be a better band. It's just hard to listen to them and not think "AC/DC."

From: dokken6008 Date: June 24, 2002 at 6:27
Your welcome, j.--don't worry about it. RB is fun to listen to when you've just "had it" with listening to all of AC/DC's records over and over again so you just want to hear something similar but just a liiiiittle bit different. That's why I even thought about paying ten big ones each for all the Rhino Bucket discs. Check out the bands' site at www.rhinobucket.com--it is a good place to visit and get all of the info that you might want to have from the band. Discography & everything..

Anyone who can sound this good and this close to early D.C is awesome. Still have their own identity though. Sorted

From: Altay Date: August 15, 2002 at 18:22
if anyone is lookin' for a rip off ac/dc,go to britny fox's first album.what a fuckin' bad voice and music.i can't understand how so many people did dig 'em.

From: TIM Date: August 15, 2002 at 21:09
Britny Fox ripped Cinderella, not AC/DC. Because Dean has a raspy voice does not make him an AC/DC ripoff. He copied Tom Keiffer from Cinderella. Michael Kelly Smith of BF used to be the guitarist for Cinderella. They copied the voice, the music (somewhat), and even the big hair of Cinderella. Still, enough of a difference is there to enjoy. The guitar is not similar to AC/DC nor the hard rock sound. If you compare the voices, they are raspy but not the same.

From: RichieRocker Date: August 15, 2002 at 22:17
I couldnt have said it better myself Tim!

From: averagem2000 Date: August 16, 2002 at 23:48
I absolutely loved their AC/DC sound. Their first album is definitley their best and their second a good follow-up, and dokken you are right I think they really dropped the ball on "Pain". To be totally honest with all of you I thought they sounded more like Dirty Looks Than AC/DC. But they all 3 have very similar sounds. I think Rhino Bucket rocks!!

From: Altay Date: August 21, 2002 at 18:13
i'm lookin' at myself, something must be wrong with me.britny fox=cool hard rock?makes no sense to me,but i see that i'm the only one that mentions it.won't be talkin' about it ever.

From: TIM Date: August 21, 2002 at 22:21
I consider Britny Fox glam not hard rock Altay. Your opinion is more than welcome-I just disagreed.

From: Reno Date: August 22, 2002 at 2:17
Britney Fox looked glam with the hair and make up, but their music is totally hard rock. They are in the same boat as Cinderella.

From: dokken6008 Date: August 30, 2002 at 6:19
averagem2000-- It's good that you cought that. 'Pain' absolutely BLOWS. The most extreme cases of innsomniacism (is that a real word?) can be put to rest by this cd in a very short period of time. That is to say, 'Pain' is boring as all hell. As for this "Atlay" fellow: Being one that is more used to being picked ON than doing the picking (whatever that means), what is up with this fool (ghetto homey-boy slang)? Man, lay your Britny Fox aggressions to rest!

From: HG Date: January 4, 2003 at 5:56
Your typical AC/DC ripoff here, but not bad. Why all the Britny Fox talk here? Don't they have a page of their own?

From: Date: January 7, 2003 at 18:43
Well I never had this Cd but I heard their song Ride with Yourself and it is fuckin' good (simple & nice).

From: Ken Date: January 17, 2003 at 20:36
Too bad AC/DC didn't find this guy to sing instead of Brian Johnson. I think Brian's voice has gotten worse over the years. I actually got to meet and hang out with the Rhino Bucket guys while they were recording their second album in Memphis. Great guys!! Don't yell when I say this...remember it's my opinion...but I think this album is the best AC/DC album since "Back In Black"

From: Rocks Date: May 27, 2003 at 16:28
Listen burnouts This band Rocks! Case closed! Their best work hands down is Pain. That album moves and grooves ya. So what if they sound like ac/dc. They are a good hard rockin kick ass beer drinking band. To bad the incredible album Pain is hard to find. I got my copy and all you idiots are not worthy of it. Me Out!!

From: HTP Date: May 30, 2003 at 7:49
I love the song Beat to Death Like a Dog...amazing. Definitely an AC/DC ripoff but alot more raw and dirty. Get Used To It is an amazing cd.

From: The Fizzy One Date: June 21, 2003 at 23:55
THe first of Rhino Bucket's three albums, this one sounds the most like AC/DC. The sound would get heavier as time went by, but this is just about a carbon copy of classic 'DC, so much so that it takes away a little bit from my enjoyment of it. I'll have to add the other two albums, the next one is great!

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: June 29, 2003 at 20:36
Did you know that their current drummer, Jackie Enx had a sex change and is now a chick?!! Ooooooh, you don't believe me, you say? Well then, check this out! http://www.metal-sludge.com/20QuestionsRhinoJackie.htm

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: June 29, 2003 at 20:39
Sorry, I should also mention that Jackie Enx real name use to be what's listed up above on this page.

From: Funster Date: January 9, 2004 at 15:59
I 1st heard Rhino Bucket 2yrs ago,& thought it was AC/DC.found all the bands CD's, and felt that every song rocked! How often do you find that today! In 2004. New album in the works, playing gigs, have songs in upcoming movies & working on a tour, plus a Feb 21,22 concert in Honolulu. And yeah, Jackie's a woman now, but you know, what does it matter,if you want to know more about it go to jackieenx.com. You'll be more respecful of her after you realize what guts it takes to have done that

From: ed.m. Date: February 13, 2004 at 22:05
rhino buckets rules! I have alot of AC/DC cd's mostly from the 80's up to their cd: Ball Breaker after that i have'nt bought any more.their mosic sucks.rhino bucket destroys AC/DC of the 90's AC/DC needs to hang it up. also Angus Young needs a hair transplant. have you seen him lately. Rhino Bucket kicks ass!

From: danthecdman Date: February 14, 2004 at 22:42
If you guys like Rhino Bucket, I suggest searching for a cd by an indie band named Prowler. The vocals sound like Rhino Bucket, the guitars are amazing and they even do a cover of Let There Be Rock.

From: Ric Date: March 7, 2004 at 21:22
This C.D totally rocks!!!!!Sorry 4 the exclamation but it's true!As far as AC-DC sound alikes I have 2 agree but I don't care. Both 1st and 2nd C.D R awesome even though this one is better.Worth the money!!As far as one of the members of this band being a transsexual that really makes me lose alot of respect 4 him!!!I'm not in2 this open mind crap!I'll still listen to them but that really crushes my opinion of Liam!!Nasty son of a bitch!!

From: Bass God Date: July 27, 2004 at 10:04
I LOVE the fact that they sound like AC/DC because even AC/DC don't sound like AC/DC anymore. This is the best of the Scott era for the 90s. Keep it goin!

From: Geoff Date: September 22, 2004 at 1:02
I wouldn't usually be so harsh but I just saw what the Reward CD was worth and I'm angry. This CD is horseshit and looked better with my excretion on it than it sounded when I tried to listen to it. Sorry, it's not really that bad. To me, though, it was just well below average rock with no redeeming features at all, IMO. Just fucking boring. FUCK!

From: onemorecast Date: March 8, 2005 at 23:05
I loved the song ride with yourself that was on the Wayne's World soundtrack. I thought that it was an AC/DC song. I have only heard that one song.

From: cort Date: April 9, 2005 at 17:17
Great Band and they do sound a whole lot like AC-DC but oh well we can at least look at it like 3 more AC-DC albums!!They arent extemely original but what the hell is so bad a bout sounding like AC-DC(One of the best Rock bands,EVER!!!)I am extemely dissappointed to hear the drummer is a fricking queer transexual!!I know no one else may care and it isnt politically correct to say that but I don't give a damn,it's a let down and is sick as Sh*t!!!!!Still a great C.D though!

From: aoreus Date: July 19, 2006 at 8:43
not quite AC/DC - this first cd sounds close to Dirty Looks, maybe not that noisy, the voice, yes, is the closest to Bon Scott's - so what? - look at the eBay rates for this band's cds - I don't mind if someone will come with ideea of re recording 80's great hard rock music with early 90's unic sound - better than Dirty Looks - still not reach some KROKUS tunes - thumbs up for RHINO BUCKET -

From: aoreus Date: July 19, 2006 at 8:57
best for drinkin', ridin', hangin out with the boys and remember long gone best times ever - early 90's with HR explosion who finally killed our music - why not gather and reborn all these great bands to play on the same scene - AC/DC along with Krokus, Dirty Looks, Kix, Rhino Bucket, Cinderella, Britny Fox, The Scream, Jackyl, X-Sinner, Kings Of the Sun, Nevada Beach and all to play finally AC/DC songs? then maybe will see who made who - check Victory's 92 cd for some AC/DC like great tunes

From: Metal T Date: January 8, 2007 at 17:09
Ac/Dc rip off band or not...still ought to be reissued.Welcome anyone to take a look at some of the sheer crap out there that has been remastered then decide.---

From: onemorecast Date: January 20, 2007 at 11:22
The singer sounds just like Bon Scott. The music sounds like ac/dc too. Doesn't necessarily mean they're ripping off ac/dc. There's alot of other bands that use ac/dc riffs as well.

From: Metal T Date: January 21, 2007 at 21:14
Blatant Ac/Dc rip-off band...still a good album though.

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: February 14, 2009 at 2:47
Got to say, this is probably my least favorite Rhino Bucket release. The songs are all great, but the production sucks. They're trying too hard for the vintage, '70's (read: dated) sound, and it just sounds like shit. Very muted, with the vocals sounding thin and distant at times, and the guitars with surprisingly little bite. Really a shame, because songs like "One Night Stand," "Beg For Your Love," "Even the Sun Goes Down" and "Shot Down" are all Bucket classics. I've read that Georg himself was thoroughly disgusted with the production as well, and was in fact only allowed to play guitar on one song for some reason.

From: pie75 Date: August 5, 2010 at 4:18
have too disagree doghouse i think this is the bucket's best strange that the guy who recorded and mixed it was brendan o'brien maybe he should've produced it he was the man who produced the mighty ac/dc's black ice or maybe if the had mutt lange this album would've been huge i think every song's great except the ridiculous ride the rhino but man one night stand, beg for your love, train ride and shot down are classics for all the people who dismiss this band for sounding like ac/dc get a life remember it was the 90's with all that grunge crap so they were refreshing maybe they came along at the wrong time but this band has talent and deserved to be huge this album sadly is a classic that nobody gives a shit about and goerg delivo is the closest thing you will ever hear to the late great bon scott that's good enough for me

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: August 6, 2010 at 10:35
Well, pie75, it's a funny thing. I took the MP3's of this CD and ran them through some audio-editing software, and just boosted the volume up on every song. Basically a homemade remastering, I guess. Anyway, this disc sounds much better that way. I like all the Rhino Bucket discs pretty close to the same, but since I pulled that little trick, I listen to the debut a lot more than I used to.

From: edwithmj Date: January 22, 2011 at 20:10
I couldn't give a shit about the AC/DC rip off thing. This is good rock n' roll with sleazy lyrics and raw power.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: April 23, 2012 at 22:34
There's only one AC/DC band...the one we all know and love...when it comes to RB is like simply listening to a "cheap version" of it(with all my due respect)...in fact the vocals are so "Bon Scott" that you just might scream of anger ...(Marc Storace of Krokus fame can be put in that "bucket" too)..the album, being objective, presents good songs but you can hardly ignore the sound(so AC/DC)..."Shot Down" & "I'd Rather Go Insane" are the best cuts IMO...tracks 1,2,6,9 & 10(rocks!) are also good...not a bad album but be prepared...86/100

From: hair metal again Date: September 25, 2014 at 11:54
pretty good debut by RHINO BUCKET back in the early 90 s when hard rock music ruled the planet and the companies almost signed everyday new bands!of course there is strong the DC influence ,but that s not a bad thing and the RHINO s are a solid band which delivers nicely!ne night stand","beg for your life" are the highlights!just ok

From: Doug Date: September 25, 2014 at 15:08
HH has these guys listed as a GLAM band, really?
