From: Desslar Date: May 14, 2002 at 16:25
This rocks!!! The best new hard rock in the last 10 years. Catchy and heavy at the same time, with an AC/DC vibe.

From: jason Date: May 14, 2002 at 16:50
I have to say, Desslar is right! This is the best rock album I have heard since 1999 Buckcherry. I think it's great that there are bands coming back that sound like the late 80's. It didn't take me long to get used to this one. If you haven't heard it yet, I suggest you give it a try.

From: jason Date: May 14, 2002 at 16:53
Oh yeah! Desslar, You said that they have an AC/DC vibe about them. The more I listen to it, the more I hear G'n'R. Anyway, it's very cool stuff!!

From: The Frost Date: May 19, 2002 at 13:07
The reason you like it so much is because "Joe Leste" has a very distinct voice. The very same voice that carried the band "Bang Tango". So check out "Bang Tango" then check out "Beautiful Creatures" and realize that "Joe Leste" just gets better and better. One fucking cool CD that will prove that the music of today is starting to make a full turn around! This album is the shiz-nit!!!!"Goin Off" makes you feel like taking a sledge hammer to someones Monte Carlo!

From: jason Date: May 19, 2002 at 14:43
Hey Frost, cool your jets man! It is a great album, but you don't need to kick someones ass over it. Although, you proved my point. This band does sound like Guns & Roses because you apparently have an "Appetite For Destruction."

From: Reno Date: May 20, 2002 at 23:48
Actually I'll agree with jason on this cd. I heard the song Wasted on the radio when it first came out and I thought the voice sounded familiar. I bought the cd and found out it was Joe Leste. This cd probably is one of the best ones to come out in the last 5 years. It does have a G'N'R feel to it. Its the attitude of the cd. I hear some of the Skid Row Slave cd attitude there too. Great cd altogether.

From: tracy Date: June 2, 2002 at 21:33
A great cd! This is a big step in the right direction. I hope other bands catch on!

From: James Date: June 26, 2002 at 21:21
I also get a Faster Pussycat type vibe when i listen to it.

From: Cotton C. Lover Date: June 29, 2002 at 6:23
Yeah, totally an awesome cd. Of course, the critics and such try to call it "alternative". lol Totally glam/punk in my book. Great CD.

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: July 18, 2002 at 20:33
Beautiful Creatures "Step Back" video will premiere July 24th, 2002 on the Multi-Media page of beautifulcreatures.net. The footage is from various shows that the band preformed on their US and Japan tours.

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: July 18, 2002 at 20:41
On April 11th Beautiful Creatures drummer Glen Sobel participated in "Extreme Drumming." The event is part of the Warp Tour Kick Off Party which was held at the Key Club in Hollywood,CA. Extreme Drumming involves the drumometer, a device that measures how fast a drummer can play in 60 seconds. Sobel hit the drum 1004 times in a minute. That was the highest score of the event. Glen is currintly ranked #5 in Guinness World Record competition.

From: T-BONE Date: July 18, 2002 at 21:12
No doubt!! This is a great cd. Modern day Guns N'Roses meets Buckcherry style of Sleeze Rock. This has to be the wrong score or some shitbag is playing games again.

From: denny kidd Date: July 18, 2002 at 21:18
these guys are what real rock and roll should always be ! kick ass,b.c

From: rocknutter2001 Date: August 16, 2002 at 10:50
when i first herd bang tango i thought they were great and especially the singer joe leste when i first herd beautiful creatures i thought fuck this bands so great modern but sounding like 80s and i thought i had herd the singer before put couldnt think who but when i bought the cd and discovered it was joe leste i thought fuck his voice was great in bang tango but in beautiful creatures its even better i totally agree with jason this is the best cd since buckcherrys debut in 99 rock on

From: Altay Date: August 18, 2002 at 17:15
i loved bang tango, and ý dig this cd.cool music.but there is one thing that i can't stand about this band.they lie about their age.ý guees record company wants 'em to say so,but anyway ý hate bullshit.especially after reading anthony focx interview on metal sludge.by the way check this link. www.metal-sludge.com/20Questions.htm it has plenty of interwievs with so many people.one more thing...isn't anthony the one that plays drum on alice coopers "poison" video?i know he used to play drums.

From: Date: August 20, 2002 at 18:34
Hell Yeah!!! It's about damn time somebody starting rockin' again! I gave 'em a 9.5, but have a suggestion: HEY EVERYBODY, IF YOUR GONNA COMMENT, RATE THE BAND TOO! Every comment on this page is a good one, but they've got less than 4 rating? c'mon!! fans of real hard rock, like late 80s, early 90s stuff just had a prayer answered in Beautiful Creatures and Buckcherry (although I hear both bands have already broken up, much to my dismay).

From: Reno Date: August 20, 2002 at 18:38
Beautiful Creatures have broken up? When the hell did this happen?

From: nitrodoll Date: August 20, 2002 at 18:41
i won't make myself popular by saying that i never really liked this band although i believed bands like buckcherry and american pearl were excellent, for some reason the songs from beautiful creatures never appealed to me...or maybe the song 'blacklist'.... sorry guyz, nitrodoll1974@hotmail.com

From: Still Rocking Date: September 1, 2002 at 19:40
Beautiful Creatures has NOT broken up. DJ Ashba left/ was replaced, but that is all. They are working on a new CD and shopping it to labels. Go to www.BeatifulCreatures.net before you assume stuff. Also call your local radio station and demand better music like Beautiful Creatures. They want you attention so they can sell ads, make them earn it.

From: The Fizzy One Date: September 24, 2002 at 20:39
A solid 7 in the Fizzy Book. It would've gotten higher when I first bought it, but after a while, about half the songs wore off a little bit. I too hear the RnR references, and of course a little Bang Tango, but less funky, since Kyle Kyle doesn't play bass here. Joe is less annoying with his screeching and actually sings better than he did on Psycho Cafe. THe good songs here are 1, 2, 5, 6, 10 and 12.

From: jarett r. Date: December 6, 2002 at 0:04
i've heard that dj ashba also has at least one solo album, which i heard that warrant bassist jerry dixon played bass on.

From: Tony Date: December 10, 2002 at 23:50
This is actually a really great album. Was kinda turned off by their image as it just looks like they're trying ssssooo freakin hard to be "hip" that I never gave it a chance. Purchased it this week and I'm glad I did. The kind of rock we all dig with actual SOLOS and melody to the songs. Leste is outstanding here, though in 2002 why does EVERY vocalist shove "Korn" like voice effects down our throat? Other than that great hard rock album. Deserves a second chance!!!

From: SleazyMusic Date: January 28, 2003 at 15:57
weeeeell, this is a motherfuckin' kick in the assssss!!!! this cd rocks, man! Guns meets AC/DC with modern sounds...."1 A.M.", "Wasted" and "Kickin' for days" are awesome....."Wish" is best ballad I've heard since a loooong time.....buy or die......support the new rock and roll revolution, people

From: rocker24 Date: February 6, 2003 at 15:14
Bang Tango was always a great band and I think this cd shows that Joe Leste can still ROCK OUT! Great cd!!!!

From: Gar Date: April 6, 2003 at 21:59
I was pleasantly surprised. I liked Joe Leste in BANG TANGO. but I was afraid the BEATIFUL CREATURES album would have too many Nu-Metal influences(like MARILYN MANSON or KORN). I was glad to hear that this wasn't the case. It's actually in a similar vein as BANG TANGO's PSYCHO CAFE minus the funky bass lines. Good sleazy hard rock. Can't ask for much more than that!

From: razor2467 Date: June 11, 2003 at 16:46
This is a GREAT cd......and hey, whatdya know, they how f**king depressed they are or how bad their ol' man treated them, hehehehe....

From: bones Date: June 21, 2003 at 15:18
this is the album of the millenum.it is the appitite for destrution for this centuryi know alot of ppl compare this to gnr wich is understanable but this is better!!!its heavyier, its louder, its sleazer.it is a perfect 10!dj ashba is the best guitarest since traci guns, slash,i'd say since randy rhoades.i know alot of ppl and all of them love this band.its to bad they get no radio play, they would of been huge.i had this record 4 a month & i had them tatooed on me...this is rock n roll %110

From: freddy de keyze Date: June 21, 2003 at 15:39
Beautiful Creatures they may be, but good music this isn't. This is, just as Buckcherry, simple, boring rock'n'roll for little boys and girls, let's say for kids. Nothing wrong with that, but it's so simple, too straight ahead forward and not subtle at all. Good for a fine party, but boring if you have to listen to it by yourself, alone in your room. Fun music, nothing more. I understand that there are fans for this kind of stuff, but don't call it great music or best CD of the last years !No way

From: Richierocker Date: June 23, 2003 at 23:14
I was pretty impressed with this recording, it has a killer sound and vibe, and the vocals are very intense and in your face. A must have for any rock fan.

From: Trick Taylor Date: September 18, 2003 at 12:58
I avoided this disc for a long time, but the craving for new music got the best of me. I think BC is simple, yet brilliant hook layden nu-hair for the masses. This is the album Axl should have made after the Illusions. Joe's voice is limiting at times, but not often enough to be a distraction. Instant adrenaline pump from track 1, and on. Hopefully all the stupid publicity is behind them and album #2 can be judged on music and not their dopey press releases. Just signed to JVC in Japan.

From: cruise Date: September 18, 2003 at 13:34
I spent a day with these guys and Faster Pussycat after a gig in Scotland and i have to say they are incredibly nice guys. This is a brilliant album of aggresive rock n' roll that hasn't really been tried since the early nineties. Although they were dropped the new album is complete and they have a new deal, new guitarist and new drummer. This is a great band and a great album. 9/10

From: jarett r. Date: October 1, 2003 at 1:35
i just got this album, and i'm listening to it right now. before beautiful creatures, joe leste was in bang tango and l.a. guns. i've heard that all the beautiful creatures members were also in other bands.

From: Date: October 19, 2003 at 15:53
Joe Leste was never in LA Guns to my knowledge! Anyway, this album is fucking fantastic & for my money takes the sound of Appetite for destruction & brings it bang up to date! Now this is just my opinion but this is far better than anything Joe did with Bang Tango, and BT were a great band!

From: Gar Date: October 22, 2003 at 17:20
Although he was never officially in LA GUNS, according to the bio on their website, the band did ask him to join in the late 90s. Instead they went with Jizzy Pearl.

From: Blaster Date: November 6, 2003 at 3:32
This is a hell of an album, if it came out 15 years ago youd hear it at every high school party in America. I love blasting 1AM and Wasted on my car stereo. When Wish comes on, I never fail to fumble around for my lighter!

From: jason (FA-Q) Date: February 1, 2004 at 0:06
The band is working on a new album called, 'Deuce'. They also have a new guitarist, Alex Grossi. A couple of the new songs are called, "Never" and "Empty." The album should be out by February 2004 on JVC Records in Japan. Producer Toby Wright (famed LA producer who has worked with such bands as Metallica, Korn and Alice in Chains) will then shop the new CD around for a US deal. The band will then resume touring in February 2004. Singer Joe Leste says, "Look out for a possible tour with Faster Pu

sorry but i didin't like it so much...........motley riffs are ok but there's a lot of nu metal&modern shit..........anyway the ballads are cool...maybe i expected too much from it...i rate it 5.5

From: Lynchomaniac Date: March 22, 2004 at 19:11
The best Sleazealbum in ages! This millenniums G'n'R????

From: holyroller Date: June 7, 2004 at 19:12
This album rocks! I was never much of a Bang Tango fan but this one smokes! Joe LeSte has such a WEIRD voice! I love it! This is the album G N'R would make if Axl got his shit together.

From: 80's_man Date: July 23, 2004 at 22:35
This cd rocks, I was a big fan of bang tango and would have to say that this is better. I grew up with heavy metal and glam rock, I really miss those days, but this cd hits home. If you like good rock and roll 80's style this one is for you.

From: Christine Date: August 19, 2004 at 2:05
Ok, I've listened to it a few times now. I REALLY tried to like it, I swear! But it's just a bit too nu-breed for me.

From: Dean Date: August 19, 2004 at 12:53
Nu breed? Nu metal? Beautiful Creatures? To my ears this is just great straight-foward hard rock. Was a huge fan of Bang Tango and Joe's vocals and this just hits the spot perfectly. Sorry you did't get into it Christine-suprised me because this seems in the same vibe as LA Guns.

From: Tim Date: August 28, 2004 at 15:22
Any news on when their next CD is coming out? I need more!

From: ALEXX GLAM Date: October 21, 2004 at 11:23

From: Raiven Vainn Date: January 12, 2005 at 6:15
Its OK, nothing too memorable, or original... then again better than alot of stuff out there.

From: ?? Date: January 13, 2005 at 14:01
Nu-breed? Ha...think not. Listen to the guitar solos: nu-breed has no such thing. I am listening to the cd now and just heard the solo on Kick Out. This is rock and roll...not nu-breed.

From: hardrocker666 Date: March 8, 2005 at 17:30
this cd will kick your ass killer riffs and some nice vocals check out 1 am wasted and the somewhat ballad wish good stuff for this day and age!

From: Aussie Dave Date: March 9, 2005 at 16:28
Good solid sleaze/hard rock more in the vein of Buckcherry than Bang Tango. Some killer riffs on here. Never been a huge fan of Joe Leste's voice, but he seems ok here. Looking forward to the new album Duece in May! i'll give this one a solid 8/10....

From: Geoff Date: March 8, 2006 at 23:47
Embarrassingly, I have to admit that I could not even detect Joe Leste's voice at all on this. Couldn't see the comparison between this and his Bang Tango days - he sound completely different, IMO. That said, this is a good, solid and very ballsy sleaze/hard rock album. Much better than I was expecting and most of it is great hard rock. Plus there's a beautiful ballad I don't recall the name of right now.

From: Metalmusicman Date: January 1, 2007 at 14:32
I have to admit, I never really cared for Joe Leste's work in Bang Tango. That's why I am surprised at how blown away I am by this amazing debut. Great sleaze rock that grabs you by the balls and gives em' a god hard squeeze. In the vein of AC/DC, Guns and Roses, or even a more polished Babkyard Babies. The song writing here is raw, but melodic as hell at the same time. Fanstasic guitar driven, balls out rock n roll. Very recomended!!!

From: teslakid Date: July 21, 2007 at 17:13
muy bueno...wish!!!9/10

From: juan carlos Date: October 4, 2007 at 11:48
Yeah el disco rockea, los solos enganchan, tiene tintes actuales con algo de Nu.. en "Step Back" pero ni tanto, gran producción, buena actitud. "Kick Out" recuerda horrores a Bon Scott y sus AC/DC y "I Got It All" sonarían a unos AC/DC actuales. Los temas en plan baladas o melódicas están agradables: "New Orleans"(mi favorita), "Wish" "Time and Time Again"(a lo Guns..). "Blacklist"(a lo Faster Pussycat) y "Going Off" tambien buenas. No mi HardRock favorito pero Sí mas que aceptable. 8/10

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: March 22, 2009 at 0:48
This, to me, is the album that any number of L.A.-metal bands should've made in the early 2000's. The music is updated subtly, the production not so subtly, but it's still that same style of GnR-like hard rock. I've never liked Joe LeSte as a singer, and that doesn't really change that, but this CD is probably the best fit for him. A couple songs are a little punky and slapped-together for my taste, but the only song I really don't like is "Time And Time Again." Whatever band he's with, Joe just doesn't do ballads well at all. My favorite tracks would be "Wasted," "Kick In For Days," and "I Got It All."

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: March 27, 2010 at 0:17
I find myself listening to this disc somewhat regularly even today, yet it was more or less a commercial failure at the time. Warner dumped a shitload of money into Beautiful Creatures, too: getting them on Ozzfest, getting them on a movie soundtrack with a lot of it-bands of the day, even got them an opening gig for Kiss at a venue i Texas where Nugent was banned. Tons of press, prominent displays at big-box stores, endcaps, the whole works. And yet, radio airplay? Hell, "Wasted" didn't make it out of overnights, if it even made it that far, and that was in 2001, when airplay actually still mattered to a degree. I would see the SoundScan figures on Metal Sludge at the time and wonder what the hell went wrong, why thsi record was just tanking. As I recall, this CD came out (finally) in the late summer or early fall (it was probably finished for a year before that), and by the end of '01 they were dropped.

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: March 27, 2010 at 0:20
Oh yeah, and on top of everything else, Warner even got the guys trendy new haircuts and had them lie about their ages, to try and combat the stigma attached to C-list hair-metal rejects, while at the same time banking on Joe LeSte's Bang Tango connection, him being the only semi-famous one of the bunch at the time.

From: Wardy Date: January 26, 2013 at 3:26
Yeah situation ridiculous Doghouse' comments quite aptly covering all bases and I concur, this was a hugely underrated release for its time in fact had it been released during the last few years it may have actually fared better considering current radio play and all, maybe!? 1AM is a kick to the head great tune seeing the album go hard right outta the gates, WASTED is huge on singalong chorus awesome and I'll go a third also and recommend BLACKLIST, while it takes the chorus to get things sorted it's a nice bit of riffery. I however rate Joe's vocals sure at times it wasn't the perfect fit (balladry!?), but the guys a class act and unique voice, full credit to him for keeping on top of his game as the years escape us DEUCE wasn't the followup it should've been (but Freedom is worth yer time) but still it was unfortunate BC weren't given the recognition the label and a few of us fans believed they deserved. Rated this one 7.5 and Deuce a 6...

From: CC Date: January 30, 2013 at 17:07
Actually the big problem with this album WAS the label. WB were originally behind them, hence the initial push, but before the album came out there was a big change in management at WB and they decided they werent interested in rock bands, so the album itself got next to no push when it was released, and I think the band were pretty much already dropped by the time it came out from what I remember reading in interviews. There is nothing to suggest it would have been any more successful had the big wigs not changed, but that was definitely why their push ground to a halt.

From: Auslander Date: February 3, 2020 at 5:36
This was the standout release of 2001. A great, hard rocking throwback that intermingled modern and 80s sound. Whichever way you paint it, it's just quality hard rock. Essential Track: Wasted.

From: hair metal again Date: May 8, 2022 at 12:59
excellent debut for BEAUTIFUL CREATURES in the start of the new millenium , an all star band with members of the 80 s scene we all love!their sound is like an updated GNR &BANG TANGO with lots of sleazy riffs ,vocals and attitude!def one of the best hard rock releases of the recent years and a perfect example of how new bands should try to rock!
