| Well, this is decent bluesy hard rock, but rather rough around the edges. Good enough, but could be a little more fun.

| Bluesy Hard Rock? No Way, not that there's anything wrong with that especially fo band's like Great White who do that well, but that isn't what we've got here... This is Sleaze/Glam in the purest, I think this is a great compliment to Vain's "No Respect", in which the singer's styles and voices are very close to each others. This album has got the songs to back it up too, like track 11 and all the rest. Don't be fooled, Great Great Stuff here, a 10+!!!

| The best of the so-called GnR clones that appeared around 89. Great sleazy vocals and lots of tunes about waking up with Hangovers. Top ban.

| One of my all time favourite CD's, I still play it now. Great low-slung attitude fuelled R'n'R. A classic!

| This CD got more rotation in my younger high school days than "Appetite for Destruction" or "Nothing's Shocking." Great, boozy raunch 'n roll that drips with a sneering attitude. Thank the rock gods above that these dudes are still cranking out the jams some 15 years later! I saw 'em a few months ago here in Cleveland and they tore down the roof! 10/10

| I started to listen this album yesterday and it fuckin rocks. Its a pitty i havent discovered this before. Coal mine is my favourite track. Great for driving your car fast.

| I recently found this album and it's great, awesome. I love Sleaze rock but this sounds more punk rock, it's closer to bands like Gun Club and Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers. The looks were sleaze because the label wanted to sell records but not the music. My favourite track is Rotten Sunday

| This is one of the best sleaze albums from the californian scene of the late eighties: great riffs and intensity! A must-have, in my opinion: my favourite songs are Desperation Town, Coal Mine and It's Over For You. Buy it, if you can, but it's very difficult to find!

| I sold this on ebay for quite a decent chunk of change - much better than the $9.44 average so I can't speak too ill of it. Just wasn't my thing. One of those albums where each song flies in one ear, out the other. I believe there were a couple of okay songs, but not many. Not recommended at all.

| You don't know this band???!!!! Well, you've never known what sleaze rock is all about and even what the word "rock n roll" is, man!. M-A-S-T-E-R-P-I-E-C-E!!!!in the vein of 70's Alice Cooper, Faster Pussycat, early Vain, SeaHags and Guns 'N Roses.

Raw Sleaze Glam at its purest state...so raw that can be sometimes monotone IMO...for me it was just a simple album with straight to your face dirty Sleaze Glam Rock(for some this album is a blast,not for me even though i must recognize the album has its cool moments)..."Coal Mine","Walking In The Woods","Last Drive","My Way","Cry Cry Cry" & "Slow Death" are the highlights of the album for me...80/100

| Bryan Small himself hates the mix of this album, according to some interview I read. He basically said the label "paid some heavy metal guy a lot of money to mix it in a weekend." I also gathered he would take umbrage with the "GnR clone" comment from above, even though it was meant in a positive way, and even though the band does have a strong Stones-by-way-of-Izzy feel. On the other hand, the Gun Club reference seems more accurate, as Small said that band "changed my life."

| So what we got is something that's probably alien to most Heavy Harmonies viewers, particularly the AOR crowd. This is pretty much equal parts outlaw/Bakersfield country, AC/DC or very loud Stones-style bluesy rock, and punk. Not the music of perfect hair and outrageous clothes and bright neon. This CD needs a shower. This CD lives in a motel when it's NOT on tour. This CD can only afford liquor that comes in a plastic bottle--which luckily doesn't break when you drop it. Music begging for a film noir to be the soundtrack for.
