10 yrs. later, White Trashs', Si O Si,Que? still burns a hole in rock! A world now made boring by bands like POD. White Trash put this ecclectic and rigidly original record out in '94. Prior to that a s/t album was put out in '91 baring the minor MTV hit 'Apple Pie'. That too was an album that bent the mainstream with it's funky compositions and Dave Alvin's seeringly original voice. 3 yrs. later White Trash returned w/Dave Alvin the only original member and a fiercer band. The record shows it's

Fantastic album! My rating is 8/10. Don't miss this one.

A welcome follow-up to, and interesting turn from, the 1991 self-titled album; it's Dave Alvin with a whole new crew! Ditching the horn section in favor of a sound that's a bit more blues than funk, 'Si O Si, Que?' manages to again land White Trash squarely in its own musical category. There ain't nothin' else that sounds like this! With Leblang's ferocious guitar laid on top of Barckow's explosive drums, it's a wonder the recording studio didn't burn to the ground during the band's sessions!

My only regret, was that I didn't know this one existed until 7 years after it's release (and I had the s/t CD before it)! Although the songs aren't quite as funky, 'Minor Happiness' had the same catchy feel that 'Apple Pie' had, and '21 Club' had the same dance feel that 'The Crawl' had. It's a different CD than the first (for better or worse), but it's still unique, and somehow managed to strike my fancy.

less funk more rock than their first, but always good The new guitarist is still very very good and this album rocks !!!!

I have had this album since around 1999 I would reckon, and it has taken me until 2020 to realise that the albums name is actually C-O-C-K. Doh!
