Aor classic and a must have for every serious rock/aor collector. Damn hard to find on cd (not an official release). 9/10

DO YOU MEAN THAT THIS GEM IS NOW AVAILABLE? G R E A T !!!

Out of all Mr. Paris' releases this has to be my favourite. Great air punching melodic songs combine with some killer ballads. I'm Better is a real chest beater and Mystery Girl has great dynamics. My Girl is the first ballad and is pretty cool. Back on my Knees is another standout track and another rocker as is the title track. Another must buy I'm afraid!

Good AOR release, claro que si otro buen trabajo de Jeff aca sin duda uno de sus mejores temas I'm Better(5 minutos de gran AOR, el mejor del disco), Race To Paradise, Back On My Knees, Rock Tonight, Don't Make Promises tambien buenos cortes, otro disco a tomar en cuenta para todo amante del AOR. Recomendado.

This one is avaliable as a good quality boot, but always seems to go for big bucks. Still better to have it than not and will suffice until it gets a full proper release. I have to say I still prefer 'Wired Up' to this and consider that his finest album so far (if we ever get anything else), but this is still a very good album indeed and worth forking out for if you see it.

Great album -- best one by this artist! As is often the case, debut albums are the most original. "My Girl" is an awesome rock ballad! I am a collector of rare CD's from around the world, and have this album on CD. It is an official release -- not a bootleg. Made in Holland on the Mercury label. Also has a UPC bar code. Very hard to find, but well worth the effort and cost.

I have always been led to believe that this was a boot (albeit a very good one). Mine also has the Made In Holland , Bar code etc. But why does this have the LP catalogue number ending in 1 instead of the usual 2 for a CD!!!Can anyone else confirm this is the real deal!!!

Big as the Empire state!!!!,is all i have to say about this album.Songs?..."I'm better","Mistery Girl" and the title "Race to Paradise" are top classic aor masterpieces!!!!.10/10

From: z4roxx Date: February 28, 2007 at 16:34
I hope it will be press asap on cd(I mean an official pressing).I did have the bootleg,I've prefered to trade it with some more original stuff even if I know it's very rare and wanted one.Great disc even if the second work it's better for my tastes.

"Mystery Girl" and "Race To Paradise" are KILLER AOR songs! "Back On My Knees" "Rock Tonight" and "Hot Love" are also great songs! The only song I don't like for whatever reason is "Don't Make Promises". Not sure why.

Great album! Big choruses full of passion. Fantastic voice, very distinctive! The next one is also of the same quality

amazing hard rock debut by the mighty JEFF PARIS!this guy is a genious when it comes to songwriting and one of the best around.what you get here is a melodic heaven full of hooks and big choruses,US commercial hard rock music at its best.my fav songs are "my girl","i m better" and "mystery girl".essential indeed

I think "Back on my knees" is the best track that Jeff has ever made, of course I'm talking about the songs included on the first two albums. They're probably the most commercial although the notion of commerciality in case of AOR performers doesn't find its way because they never earned that much money. AOR was always inferior. Pity Nevertheless, I love it and don't care who earns more.

Is there is an AOR album that must be as a mandatory statement in your record collection it has to be this one!!!...undoubtebly and as a personal opinion this is Jeff Paris' best effort ever!!!..."I'm Better"(totally a hymn),"Mystery Girl"(brilliant!),"My Girl",(nice) and "Race To Paradise" are my faves in here but in general lines the whole album can easily draw a in your face of happiness!!!!...highly recommended...97/100
