I don't know if the cd's on Ebay are fake or not since I've never owned one. It normally runs for $62 when I've seen it. I own both the cassette and lp. Beau Hill produced this one. They aren't bad.

If you find it on CD, it's fake. The infamous bootleg label "Reborn Classics" issued them as a 2-on-1 in the early '90s, but there has never been an actual CD release. I have versions of both Streets albums on CD that have cleaner sound than the Reborn Classics release; for a while I was selling them on Ebay (with CD artwork I made from the vinyl) but I've since given that up. Atlantic really should release these on CD...

From: TIM Date: May 2, 2002 at 21:55
Hey Dan, I've never heard their other album. Is it any good?

From: Dan Date: May 3, 2002 at 10:01
I think "First" is a little better than this one; I'll try to add it to the database over the weekend. The audio fidelity is definitely better than Crimes (Crimes only ever saw a vinyl release; First saw a handful of promo CDs released and then get yanked as the CD release was shelved; the source I have for "First" is from one of those promo CDs).

From: TIM Date: May 3, 2002 at 10:21
I saw another copy of Crimes In Mind on cd this morning. The guy swears up and down it's original. I guess a lot of people are being ripped off. How do you find out if something is officially released? I usually ask one of the power sellers if I'm not sure, but sometimes they don't know.

From: Frank Date: May 22, 2002 at 21:33
I have both on LP and they are great. Mike Slamer is amazing on guitar. I like 1st more than "Crimes". I read that Steve Walsh has tried for years to get the albums released on cd but it's never happened. Maybe someday(fingers crossed)! Anyway, I've always been a Steve Walsh fan and he sounds great on these albums. It's different from Kansas, but you can hear some Kansas-style influences here and there. By the way, Steve Walsh's new CD "Glossalia" features Mike Slamer and Billy Greer!

From: Shoemaker Date: May 23, 2002 at 4:44
I have a split CD version with both albums, but not on reborn classic (mine is a bootleg on al bundy records I think is it called ).

From: TIM Date: June 5, 2002 at 18:56
I got the 1st one today and I wasn't too thrilled with it. I thought it was rather weak.

From: T-BONE Date: June 7, 2002 at 14:18
Mike Slammer re recorded the song If Love Should Go from the 1st Streets cd and released it as a bonus track on the Steelhouse Lane - Slaves Of The New World cd. Streets are very similar to early Survivor on thier first cd, and The Steelhouse Lane cd's sound like a cross between Hardline and House Of Lords. I guess they would because Mike worked with both bands. I got both of Streets releases from the internet and I'm happy with them for now. They have a great sound. Worth checking out!

AHHHHH...Steve Walsh from Kansas!Nothing left to be said! His voice on this record is pretty much like Jack Blades, but BETTER!Comparing both this and the debut, this is more commercial but as strongly delivered as 1st!Awsome production from Beau Hill(Ratt..etc).He realy have such talent to choose the best riffs and melodies!Hard driving 80`s AOR/hard!Recently re-issued first time O-F-I-C-A-L on CD,through Wounded Bird Records!Get it now while it is still on print!100 ot ouf 10!!!!!!!!

STEVE WALSH VOICE IS ONE OF GREATEST VOICES IN ROCK

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: December 30, 2002 at 10:07

From: tomcat Date: June 21, 2003 at 14:02
i think the opener 'don't look back' is one of the best songs in the genre, i heard it for the first time as a kid on a belgian radiostation in 1985..yes , i know, i have a good memory.. this band is truly great

From: AORMILWAUKEE Date: November 22, 2003 at 10:25

Dan...The one I have had the sign by ATLANTIC records on the back, and on the disc itself it says, For Promotional Use Only. Is that a bootleg too.??

Heavy Harmonies Owner
From: Dan Date: May 1, 2004 at 21:59
I'm guessing no, that yours is legit and quite rare. The story as it was given to me, was that a handful of CD promos made it out before the release was shelved. That's why the bootlegs sounded so good, since the audio of the boots was taken from one of these original Atlantic promos. Of course, since both Streets albums have officially and legally been released on CD by Wounded Bird Records, the issue is somewhat moot...

From: Great Dane Date: May 2, 2004 at 3:38
Thanks for the information Dan. Its a damn good album.

From: AOR freaky Date: May 2, 2004 at 8:44
CLASSIC stuff indeed !!!

From: musicfreak Date: May 3, 2004 at 13:05
Enough with the 'freak' jokes, as this time I totally agree with Sir Freddy (btw old chap I hope that now you're doing well). This second STREETS album is an absolute masterpiece of his own : just listen to the opening riff for the song "Don't Look Back" and you'll know you're in for a real AOR treat ! The closest thing to happiness on CD and really essential to any respectable collection. 10/10

From: Slamer Date: May 4, 2004 at 5:59
Offisial released now on Wounded Bird.

From: Wotty Date: August 15, 2004 at 17:32
A true classic.Walsh sings his nuts off and puts in the right amount of keys.Mike Slamer plays in his own imitible style.Better than the 1st album, just, but the SHAKEDOWN-LIVE cd shows the boys in really good form, personally speaking.

OTRA JOYA SUPREMA DEL AOR, ESCRITO CON MAYUSCULAS, UNO DE MIS TOP ALBUMS DE AOR DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS, UN ALBUM BRUTAL DE PRINCIPIO A FIN, AQUEL QUE ES AMANTE DEL AOR Y NO TIENE ESTA JOYA ENTONCES NO LO ES, ASI QUE A TODOS MIS HERMANOS DE HABLA HISPANA, CONSIGAN ESTA JOYA COMO SEA Y PODRAN MORIR FELICES DESPUES DE HABERLO ESCUCHADO, COMO FUERON LOS 80, QUE TREMENDAS JOYAS DEJO, Y ESTE ES UN TREMENDO EJEMPLO SALUDOS DESDE ICA-PERU DE SU AMIGO RAFO GRIEVE "EL AVE FENIX" PUNTUACION 1000/1000

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: October 8, 2004 at 1:33
HEY AMIGO 9 CHAMPIONS COMO QUE VALE LA PENA, ESTA JOYA ES INVALORABLE Y MERECE LOS MAS ALTOS ELOGIOS Y SI TENGO QUE ESCOGER UN TEMA EN PARTICULAR SERIA INJUSTO YA QUE TODOS LOS TEMAS SON JOYAS ABSOLUTAS DEL AOR. ESTE ES EL VERDADERO AOR EN EL NIVEL MAS ALTO. ASI QUE YA ESTAN AVISADOS- COMPREN O MUERAN. BUY OR DIE. :MASTERPIECE

From: Nick Clarkson Date: October 11, 2004 at 6:08
Both the Streets albums are superb and up there with the Spys albums as best AOR ever releases ever, but I guess this one has a slight edge on the 1st. I had a bootleg copy but both have been released officially on the Wounded bIrd label as Slamer mentioned above. It's a good job as my vinyl versions are practically worn out.Mike Slamer plays up a storm on this and Steve Walsh's vocals are as stunning as ever. A fantastic album...as they used to say Buy or Die!

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: October 14, 2004 at 21:55
Don't Look Back ES UNA DE MIS TOP 100. VARIAS ESTAN EN MIS TOP 1000. QUE MAS DECIR ESTE DISCO ES OBLIGADO TENERLO, DE LO MEJOR DEL GENERO. YA VOY A ELABORAR MI PAGINA DE MIS TOP 1000 DE AOR Y LES PASARE EL DATO PARA QUE SE FIJEN. PUNTUACION 1000/1000.

ES TAN COMPLETO COMO EL DE BEAU GESTE DEL 86 Y CON EL MISMO ESTILO UN ALBUM MUY SIMILAR EN SONIDO, SIMPLEMENTE INCOMPARABLES.

From: Lovedrive Date: June 25, 2005 at 7:33
MARAVILLOSO!

From: Muddley Date: June 25, 2005 at 19:19
Damn, translating the spanish comments makes me smile out LOUD.

From: poproxx2007 Date: November 16, 2006 at 19:14
I have listened to the first one and this quite often lately and I have to say this is better AOR imo. Each song has a bombastic quality and suger sweet melodies the first one lacks. Still both cd's are recommended-although this goes the extra mile with the brilliant title track, "Don't Look Back", "Broken Glass" and "I Can't Wait".

From: george_the_jack Date: February 7, 2007 at 13:47

From: swriter Date: June 16, 2007 at 22:47
got these at a Christian record store in the 80's on cassette and still have em!!!!! I like this one a tad better then the debut, great melodic hard rock, Don't Look Back is a classic, great band!!!

From: YIRO SEVENTH Date: August 4, 2007 at 14:03
FANTASTIC ALBUM!! RECOMENDADISIMO!!!

From: juan carlos Date: August 13, 2007 at 20:15
Instant Classic. 9/10

From: Carlos A. Date: August 14, 2007 at 11:40
Invalorable.

From: Rycheage Date: August 19, 2007 at 18:27
I bought this on the strong recommendations here and frankly I wasn't blown away as I expected to be. This is by the numbers AOR with quality musicianship. Just not my cup of tea, sorry.

From: Whitesnake Date: August 22, 2007 at 8:45
I totally agree with You Rycheage. This one is not half as good as "1st". You should try that one instead! "1st" is a totally different story with the guitarplaying being better, and the melodies have a lot more to offer. This one was a little too anonymous.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: July 13, 2010 at 22:35
Well if "1st" was a great release from head to toes then "Crimes In Mind" is just a mind blower!!!!..this is extremely a highly recommended piece of AOR!...from the purest essence of it!..."Don't Look Back" is such a great track a with a very nice video(you can watch it at youtube's),"The Nightmare Begins" is another killer track,"Broken Glass" is a highlight","Hit'n Run" is a great rock tune,"Crimes In Mind" is good "crime" so good that is a favorite,"Gun Runner" is another highlighted song,u want another rock track?.."Rat Race" gives u that and "Turn My Head" closes the mayhem of greatness in what way...EXCELLENT!!!...a bombastic release,superb!..just buy!!!.98/100.:d:d:d!!!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: July 13, 2010 at 22:37
!!!!

From: metalhead4life Date: September 9, 2010 at 21:24
Yeah, I agree with Rick that this is a highly recommended piece of AOR. While it doesn't have much catchy hooks, it definitely has solid songs. Definitely top notch musicianship and song quality; great guitar playing thanks to Mike Slamer. Just a very solid and well played 1985 AOR-hard rock release. 90/100

From: DazBuFF Date: October 24, 2012 at 3:17
I have 2 songs that were given to me a while back to be put on cd by a fan of streets and he said that these were by streets and the songs are excellent. I believe the titles were "another world" and "I'm wasting time". Can anyone tell me if streets did infact make any othe songs?
