SHM-CD Japanese Double 'Best Of...' split into Future' and 'Past', these discs feature 28 remastered tracks covering most of Robby's albums, with 6 brand new re-recordings thrown in along the way. A very nice package this one and a must have for RV newcomers, with a few surprises along the way for existing fans aswell. Being a Japanese only release, and a double disc at that, this is not cheap to get, but it is an excellent compilation all the same and well worth the effort.

Superb, If you think this sucks then I guess your tastes in rock don't get above metal for kiddies...go and shape your Play-Doh in the corner sonny Jim! It makes me laugh how people go on about how great Meatloaf is (puke) R.V. can create more passion and drama in 4 minutes than Meathead did throughout the whole of Bat out of Hell .... in fact throughout his career of camp sub operatic stageshow musical nonsense. Plus this rocks like a bastard, but it's a kind of retrospective of Robby's work, for best results get individual albums....but this is a great start if you're unsure and want a taster, plus for the die hard fan there's plenty of stuff on here you won't have version wise!

Valentine albums are hard to get, or very expensive Japanese imports, so I was glad to get this one at a concert yesterday. What a fabulous live-artist and this double cd is both a great introduction as well as just a superb slice of pumped up rock wizardry.
