While this album was leaps & bounds better than the band's rotten debut--both in terms of song quality & production values--it still lacks that indefinable something that makes for a really good melodic hard rock/metal release. Stronger hooks and catchier choruses would have helped, but perhaps that's just my personal preferences coming through. Bottom line, it's a decent CD, but not one I can really sink my teeth into.

From: indio Date: April 24, 2003 at 18:01

From: Rycheage Date: June 23, 2003 at 18:58
This album doesn't really have a lot in common with their debut. It was a good album but was more pop rock AOR with a production that was a long way from the monster sound of their new album Garden Of Eden. The Snakes have beefed it up big time and have fattened the sound of all instruments and the vocals. This is on of the best melodic records of the year and should be sought out by all fans of the genre. Especially those that have a particular liking for moody melodic hard rock.

Bueno bueno bueno... q maravilla d grupo y d disco, superando incluso al 1º disco... la Ostia!! influencias totales a WHITESNAKE!! 7'5 d 10!!

From: juan carlos Date: March 21, 2005 at 19:06

From: Scandinavia Date: May 9, 2005 at 16:05
Well...It kicks off with a VERY impressive opener that brings back memories of WHITESNAKE in their late 80s heyday but before you can say "WOOOOW" it all falls apart and the rest of the album is rather cliché...In other words : BORING!!

That’s incredible, bought it when it came out and I didn t like it for nothing. After a long time I must say I was completely wrong and it’s also much more better than their last”Dangerous love”cd.Fantastic band!!!!

Don't let Love Turn To Hate and Hard Day Long were ok for me, but overall I was unimpressed. They make no attempt to hide their Whitesnake Slide It In and 1987 influences, but the quality of the songwriting is lacking. No real killer hooks or melodies that keep you humming them for the rest of the day. Very average.

"Voice Inside" y "Can't Let Go" con esos comienzos me recuerdan horrores a la 1ºra versión del "Here I Go Again" de Whitesnake TEMAZOS, "Child of Yesterday" recuerda al "Looking For Love" de WS tb y otro temazo obviamente asi como "Don't Let Your Love Turn to Hate" "I Want It All" "Hard Day Long" y la ..

From: juan carlos Date: December 17, 2007 at 21:21
en plan balada "Key to Your Heart" mis Súper-Favoritas. 9/10

great record even if we have two fillers track 5 and 13 (the japan bonus track,a short acoustic ballad).this band is very influenced by whitesnake.the voice of stephan berggren is a mix of jorn and david coverdale.on track 4 it s amazing same melody, same sound of keyboards and guitars than whitesnake!others influnce the snakes on several songs, norway on track 3 and 9 .track 12 "garden of eden" is different this song looks like to clockwise (nostalgia album).great production even if the sound of the drums could be better (to dry for me).not the album of the century but rocommanded for aor fans ans especially hightly recommanded for whitesnake s fans.

From: rocksoul Date: July 14, 2013 at 6:00
123charpenay: I've got in my collection this one. 2007's issue with bonus. Good stuff. IMO is a good album but nothing special. I thought the sound was very near at Whitensnake but it wasn't

From: 123charpenay Date: July 14, 2013 at 12:56
hello rocksoul.finally i ve find the reissue with the 5 bonus tracks.totally agree with you great album but not more.not a jewel ,not a classic. they looks like to whitesnake but they are not at the same level.on the five bonus tracks two are great but three are very average.
