From: carlos ciges Date: June 22, 2002 at 4:38
impresionante,casi que insuperable.

From: koogles Date: July 2, 2002 at 8:29
If you like the Streets albums or Kansas- The MCA Years, this CD, essentially a Billy Greer solo album- will be right up your alley. 'Every Time It Rains' was one of the best AOR songs of 2001. Pure class. 'The Kid Could Play', 'Only the Brave' and 'No Man's Land' are steel-belted rockers. 'Broken Home' is a beautiful ballad of the same order as 'Can't Cry Anymore' (off 'Power) or 'Once in a Lifetime' (off 'In The Spirit of Things').

Excellent hard rock!! Mike Slamer & co. come through with flying colors on this one. Worth the price of admission.

From: Chris Date: June 11, 2003 at 2:15
Stop right there. Rewind. The thought that just flashed through your mind is right on the money: if you went back fifteen years and had brought this record along, it could have been played on the radio and not missed a single step, whereas today is an entirely different manner.

From: AOR freaky Date: December 1, 2003 at 5:42
Slamer, Greer, Walsh etc. How can you go wrong with such a line-up ! Great melodic hardrock/AOR is what we get here. Brilliant ! SUPERB ! I like it ! And the best news is :in february 2004 their second album will be released ! Can't wait !!!!!

From: carlos ciges Date: January 23, 2004 at 21:09

From: vandervelde Date: April 12, 2004 at 13:51
That was the best AOR record of 2001. Song When Love Is Dying is breath taking.. In some time this would be considering as a real classic...no doubt about it...

From: Bass God Date: July 27, 2004 at 10:10
A GREAT GREAT CD. We can only wish stuff like this would catch on in the States!!

From: Geoff Date: September 5, 2004 at 20:55
'When love is dying' makes this album for me. One of the hugest ballads ever to be recorded and a melodic marvel. Elsewhere, I do like it but I still much prefer Steelhouse Lane. Good, amazingly played melodic rock.

From: Stu Date: March 14, 2005 at 12:44
Billy Greer makes a debut album that will be a melodic metal masterpiece. Mike Slammer plays a Van Halen inspired guitar style for this cd. We also see fellow Kansas members join in as well. Highlights are: No Man's Land, Surrender, Prisoner Of Love & When Love Is Dying.

From: juan carlos Date: March 17, 2005 at 20:13
well, not espectacular but i like it.. missy, when love is dying and surrender are the best, 8/10, for me the second album is better and the terry brock album, cheers from peru!

From: Nick C Date: May 5, 2005 at 14:19
One of if not the best release of 2001. I thought with the pedigree of the musicians involved that it would be good but it surpassed my expectations. I think what surprised me most was Billy Greers fantastic voice !! What a set of pipes. There are some killer rockers on here opening up with The Kid Could Play which will have you reaching for the tennis raquet in no time and a couple of poigniant ballads like Broken Home. If you like Streets then this will be right up yours.

From: Wotty Date: May 5, 2005 at 14:53
To Nick C.I totally agree with your sentiments concerning the two albums, however,I favour the debut because of the freshness and being less "mechanical" than the follow-up....

From: JF Date: March 27, 2006 at 19:40
Otro excelente cd. Practicamente casi todas me gustan. Si te gusta Steelhouse lane, Giant, Wall of Silence,no hay pierde

From: juan carlos Date: June 16, 2006 at 17:14
Recomendado. 8.9/10

From: Carlos A. Date: June 28, 2006 at 13:33

From: lalorock Date: August 11, 2006 at 11:34

From: matutedevit Date: September 30, 2006 at 16:57
Excelente disco!!!

From: ehyder Date: April 4, 2007 at 10:43
This record is great. Period. It does feature original and new recordings of tracks demoed by Kansas for the "Power" album but Billy Greer's vocals are awesome. Mike Slamer's songwriting on this one shines also. Great mix and production. An absolute must if you like Streets, Kansas (Power era) and House of Lords.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: April 5, 2007 at 23:17

From: z4roxx Date: April 10, 2007 at 16:06
Hey Rafo! This cd is great,I feel to say that most of the tracks here are killer indeed!!!Now I'll hear again the second one but I did remember some filler alternate to some killer tune...am I right???????

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: April 10, 2007 at 16:43
Yes Andrea you're right about the second one some great some decent tunes, best regards!!!

From: Rycheage Date: August 19, 2007 at 18:20
Some really excellent AOR tunes on this one. How can you go wrong with this disc? "Everytime It Rains", "Prisoner Of Lover" and "Only The Brave" are the standout tracks here. Exquisite guitar work from Mr. Slamer and some of the lushest keys you'll ever lay your ears on from David Manion. Highly recommended.

From: george_the_jack Date: September 6, 2007 at 7:51
great album.highly recommended

From: DanDare Date: September 2, 2008 at 17:58
Lovely, lovely, lovely. For me the second album edges it over this one, but it's still close to a work of art. Really good stuff. 95/100.

From: Photochromic Steve Date: February 9, 2009 at 18:32
"Everytime it rains" sounds like something from the 60s - it reminds me of The Move (Goodbye Blackberry Way, Flowers in the rain) - in a good way. Considering that Mike Slamer is from Birmingham and his age, he probably knows Roy Wood (The Move, Wizzard)!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: February 9, 2011 at 21:55
Not too solid of a debut...their second album is far better than this,or at least more consistent...still recommendable though..."The Kid Could Play","When Love Is Dying","No Man's Land","Everytime It Rains"(nice AOR)& "Prisoner Of Love" are my favorites...89/100

From: 123charpenay Date: February 4, 2013 at 11:59
