| I liked this album in general although it has a strange melancholy and reminds "The Doors" sometimes that may be a bit bothering. Yeah there's a strange sadness here. Nonetheless they have a style and sound of their own which is so important. "Sunshine Girl" is a super catchy song and my favourite here. They didn't deserve to become disappeared. Where are they now?

Strange sadness or not "The Front" has a very distinct groove--a vibe for the 90's if you will--which radiates from within!!! Yes! there is a bit of the "Doors" here as well as "The Cult" and "INXS" which can be heard in "Michael Franano's" sometimes cooing, sometimes grinding vocals!!!Their live vibe is so thick, you can cut it with a knife. I seen these guys live once, it was awsome!!! I was the one who added this album to this sit and my album is in orange! HUMMMMMMM!!!

| I can't answer wher are they now? But if you liked the front, check out their next release under the name "Baker's Pink". Released by Epic in 1993. A strange, moody but at times upbeat album that is very interesting. "Juilanna" is oh so catchy and check out the erie "the noose, the flesh and the devil". Try and find it(Good luck)

| I have been looking for this CD for several years with no luck and just got it yesterday on ebay for 1 penny thanx to this site! Saw them open up for Bonham back in the late 80's and was impressed.

| Ah, yes...The Front Doors. Great songs. Very Doors meets The Cult...Funny, how that really happened(Ian w/ the Doors)......wow, guess they were clairvoyant..lol

In answer to your question, I'd have to say that I heard this shitty band in the 80's that sounded like they wanted to be another band I sincerely hate, by the name of The Doors. What was the name of those clones in the 80's? Yes, that'd be The Front. If you like it bland as dead fungus, check this out. IMO a truly awful CD.

| i got this disc in 1990 and it still gets played on a regular basis.it does sound like a few other bands but that takes nothing away from a real underated gem.if you find it give it a good listen it will pleasantly suprise you. as for geoffs comments i would love to know what he rates as a great hidden gem.

| I didn't really get into this one. I hear a lot of the "Doors" reference that are noted above. That mixed with a late 80's/early 90's sound ala INXS and the vocals even remind me of Alice Cooper at times. Definately something different, but not my cup of tea.

| This Band has absolutly nothing to do with the Doors or the Cult....in which World do you live??Better take a walk to the ear specialist!!! Hardrock with own Style rememberīs me a little bit to older songs from Vengeance("Pain")or Twisted Sister("Pain"="Destroyer")!But Album is very average!!!

| Musically talking andi,yes,nothing to do with The Doors and The Cult in quality terms but putting your ears on the objective side,The Front sounds very to both bands,i'd say a psychodelic The Cult and a "purest" The Doors..."Violent World" & "Sin" are the best cuts IMO...probably tracks 2,3 & 6 has something to offer too but in general lines this is quite a disposable album with all my due respect...77/100
