Best Swedish Hard rock ever exept Treat & Europe

From: Kim Date: April 30, 2002 at 13:54
I bought 5-6 copies of this one some time ago at a very low price. I was totally taken by surprice by the energy, and brilliance of the musicians. Great stuff.

From: Neil Date: September 9, 2002 at 13:38
..one or two of the tracks are a bit tuneless & the lyrics crap ( Danger in this game..? ) but there are enough stunning moments to make this a must own CD..Runaway, Feel the fire, I'm hurt are beautiful tracks...!

From: ROGER Date: October 25, 2002 at 5:12
One of the best scandinavian acts out there and Jan Granwick is one of the most talented guitar heroes, nothing more to say.If you want aor heaven, listen to I'm hurt.I don't agree that his previous efforts lack in quality.Check Yesterday's news from Wintergreen and Jan's guitar work, not to mention Goran Edman outstanding vocals

From: koogles Date: March 19, 2003 at 20:31
If you like Talk of the Town's debut or Treat, this CD do your collection a great service. A perfect example of classy Scandi hard rock.

From: Great Dane Date: March 19, 2003 at 21:29
I agree Koogles, Its a superb cd'. The guitar player really delivers the good here. So does the rest of the band. ....... Sadly, music is NOT beeing made like this anymore.

From: Great Dane Date: March 19, 2003 at 21:34
Hey My cover is completely different than this. Well, who cares.

From: TIM Date: March 20, 2003 at 0:39
Great Dane, did you notice that there are two covers that switch in and out up there? Some cds had more than one cover and Dan has added them when submitted. Check out Bon Jovi- Slippery When Wet. Several others have alternate covers also.

From: Great Dane Date: April 15, 2003 at 23:32
Tim Ive noticed that. I have the one which is Black, with the writing in Gold. This is one hell of an album. Highly recomendable.

From: Great Dane Date: April 15, 2003 at 23:33
Hey Tim. I just realized what you mean. The cover I have is totally different. Check the link. Thats how mine looks like. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1055&item=2523727956&rd=1

From: John Date: August 13, 2003 at 16:09
It may just be my copy, but it sounds like it was recorded about 2 notches too loud. This is not an instance where louder is better as the awesome songs are completely ruined by the shoddy production.

From: Scandinavia Date: December 23, 2003 at 17:11
Just got my hands on this gem...Very impressed I must say! Original Scandi-compositions with hints to Talisman & more metal influenced acts although this one's mainly AORish...Found a used version with autographs and all & a different cover than the one posted here....Cool! Check out the composition + solo in 'Like An Eagle'..Outrageous!

From: Dean Date: January 25, 2004 at 3:09
Hey- i was just wondering who is singing on this one? Peter Eriksson(who sings on the debut) is listed at the top but someone mentions in the posts about 'Goran Edman's vocals'. I know Goran sings on some of the albums by these guys but who sings on this one? Thanks(in advance) for someone helping me on this one. I've got a vid for 'This is the love' and was tring to figure out who the singer is.

From: Rycheage Date: April 13, 2004 at 21:33
Unbelievably good melodic rock/AOR. The Dalton-like power of the title track 'Danger In This Game' immediately sets the scene. It's topped by the pair of 'Never Stop' and 'Feel The Fire': two essential tracks to hear. Sonic guitars and majestic keyboards are all over the place! The latter is a brooding ballad with a killer refrain. The radio appeal of 'Runaway' contains some spiky keyboards and fluid soloing from guitar hero Granwick. Great stuff!!

From: Paolo Date: May 7, 2004 at 6:06
What can i say not already told here? Simply heavenly!!!!!

From: ANDRES RIBEIRO Date: May 18, 2004 at 16:17
THIS IS A MUST BEST , DISC IN THE WORLD. DEFINILY, ITS THE BEST

From: TIM (2) Date: June 1, 2004 at 12:02
Definitely an essential CD if you love the Da Vinci/Dalton scandi sound, but not better than these bands. The best CD Glory produced though.

From: TIM (2) Date: June 1, 2004 at 12:11
P.s. This is Peter Eriksson on vocals, Goran Edmun joined the band in 1993 I believe. By then the band were nothing more than a vehicle for the guitarist to show-off anyway...

From: jessica96fish Date: September 2, 2004 at 10:28
this is in the top division of scandi rock.along with dalton treat da vinci.europe fans will love this one top class all the way.

From: Rene Date: September 5, 2004 at 9:49
This is just an increible Melodic hard rock album. If you are into the first albums by TNT, TREAT, 220 VOLT or MAD MAX, you need to buy this album, and their second album too. THIS IS THE LOVE is one of the best songs ever from a band from Scandinavia. BUY OR DIE.

From: Colin W Date: October 24, 2004 at 17:11
danger in this Game: This is one of those albums that I always remember (I've been 30yrs into rock). I got a tape of this around '94. I've lost it long time ago but am looking for a cd copy. Brings back some great memories of the early '90's (Yeah, we were still hair Rockin' in Glasgow!!) I think it was in song 4 (you'll know it if you've heard it)...the classical piano solo going into the guitar. Friggin' awesome mannnn...

From: BUDZILLLA Date: November 24, 2004 at 17:02
Being a huge fan Of SCANDINAVION MELODIC ROCK!!! Cant go wrong with this band!!!! GORAN EDMOND VOCALS are as always Top Notch!!!!! Jan Grannwiks GUITAR STYLE very much the same flavor as YNGWIE!!! My only complaint THE Keyboard gets a little on my nerves!!!! Personally, However the musicianship is always tight, all of Glorys cds are worth having in your collection!!! THE early album With singer Peter ERRicson is included!! However, Goran Edmonds Vocals , Granwikks Guitar are Glorys SIGNATURE!!

From: BUDZILLLA Date: November 24, 2004 at 17:11
Havent Heard Wintergreen yet? I read that it sounded Alternative!!! God!!!! I hope not? Will somebody give me some accurate feedback on this cd !!!

From: z4roxx Date: December 17, 2004 at 20:20
ONE OF THE BEST OF EVER...10/10!!!!!!!!

From: E_U_R_O_P_E Date: December 30, 2004 at 15:23
i have their first three albums and what can I say ? After Europe they are the best Scandinavian melodic hard rock band.Songs from 'Danger In This Game' album like 'Survivor','Feel The Fire','I'm Hurt','Exhibition','This Is The Love' and 'Tell me' are monumental.Jan Granick is one of the best guitarist I have ever heard and his sound and guitar playing is unic. The other albums are good but 'Danger In This Game' is one of the best melodic hard rock albums on the world.Glory rullzzz !!!

From: Geoff Date: February 16, 2005 at 3:26
Very good melodic rock disc. Not really much else to say, but this is well played, contains great 80's melodic hard rock songs that you'd expect from a classy European band and there's no real fault here. Great disc!

From: Sean Date: March 5, 2005 at 13:27
80's melodic rock at it's best!!!! the best album in the universe!!! Awesome majestic keyboard that tear your heart out!!!! Guitars that just smoke!!! Vocals comparable to europe the final countdown!!

From: SCANDI Date: June 18, 2005 at 14:10
..What more can I say about this album..?? Well, FINALLY got my hands on a copy of this jewel too. You listen to typically scandi melodic hard edged AOR nearest to TREAT at 'Dreamhunter' times. The first track reminds me still of MADISON's 'Lay down your arms' (from the point of production at least). My favourite track is 'This is the love' it's OUTSTANDING (just listen to the guitar & key solo). The weak point of this album is the last track which is an uninspired instrumental. 9,4/10

From: Mediaab Date: January 3, 2006 at 8:42
This is indeed one of the very best Scandi releases in melodic rock ever, by far Glory's best album! Peter Eriksson (anyone knows what he's been up to after leaving Glory??) sings freakin' good on this cd. As much as I also like Goran Edman (current singer in Glory), I think Peter's voice suited this first album just perfectly - awesome singing! The other musicians of this album are also very skilled, well-crafted album for sure. I'd give it 10/10. It's a shame the later albums were not as good.

From: Pudelrockarn Date: March 4, 2007 at 10:41
One of the best albums in the world!! This is same magic as Alien's first album from 1988 with a better production. I give it 11 out of 10. You have to get this one, you will never regret it, this is the most enjoyable album in this genre!! Not Treat or Europe... Glory! Glory!! Glory!!!

From: Magnus Date: March 31, 2007 at 20:35
Some of my old posts are removed and I don't know why? Perhaps it's my poor English..I don't know? ;-) Well, this one is up there in heaven with a very few others. If you like bands such as Europe,Treat and Alien this is a must!! Nice use of keyboards and that's very VERY important IMO. As I'm a keyboard nut myself. :-))A monster scandi AOR/MHR release that is a must have in your collection! Timeless stuff! Very hard to find and that's sad.

From: poproxx2007 Date: May 27, 2007 at 4:01
scandi AOR at its best! AOR dream through and through!! More hooks than a tackle box with keys to boot!! A Real 'Treat' in deed!! 10/10

From: metalhead4life Date: June 14, 2007 at 20:55
Definitely a good one to own for your 80's metal/hard rock collection. Does remind me of Europe, Da Vinci, Dalton as far as vocals; Malmsteen-esque guitar in spots but this band is original. Good thing this band has good musicians as it brings out the songs better; good strong songs; some fast paced hard rockers on the verge of power metal; just an all out good hard rock disc; I rate it about a 8.75-9/10.

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: November 5, 2007 at 13:02
GREAT CD 92/100 SCANDI MELODIC METAL at his best /' a true CLASSIC ! BUY it or DIE and BURN in HIP HOP hell FOREVER

From: aorta Date: February 13, 2008 at 19:11
I bought this 4 years ago.at the beginning i realy didn't enjoy. But from last week i realized it's a decent 'hard - aor' material in the style of europe ,treat, dalton, truly recommending

From: KurtmanJP Date: February 26, 2008 at 0:43
'Never Stop'. My GOODNESS! That is certainly the best track IMO. So catchy and addictive and great keyboards, too! I can't stop listening to it!!! The ballad 'Feel The Fire' and 'Tell Me (If I'm Wrong)' are also downright AWESOME! 'Exhibition' is one of the coolest rock instrumentals I ever heard!

From: KurtmanJP Date: September 12, 2008 at 12:55
Almost forgot. 'This Is The Love' and 'I'm Hurt' are also awesome songs as well!

From: KurtmanJP Date: January 1, 2009 at 21:19
Okay, now that I listen to the whole thing again, EVERY SINGLE SONG is AWESOME! Man, I wish I could go back and edit my comments. This whole triple-posting thing is a bit annoying.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: January 2, 2009 at 0:24
Kurt Cobeckham & chris strutty hahaha i'm very happy with your great comments. Only exist 1 immortal here Rafo Phoenix.

Fuckin great one I got it!!!!!!

From: hair metal again Date: November 26, 2012 at 8:57
very good debut by GLORY and this is a classic of the late 80 s Swedish hard rock scene!solid band with many hooks and a guitar driven sound is what you get !they seem to have a certain talent in mid tempos and that s a good thing!"feel the fire","runaway" and "never stop " are the highlights of this great release!

From: 707STAR Date: February 25, 2017 at 15:00
YES PEOPLE OF THE EARTH THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MELODIC HARD ROCK CDS OF ALL TIME. TOO BAD THE ORIGINAL GUYS DID NOT STICK TOGETHER. INCREDIBLE BAND THAT JUST DID NOT MAKE THE SPOTLIGHT. VERY DESERVING OF TOURING AND MAKING ALOT OF MONEY BUT SOMEHOW MISSED OUT. CERTAINLY IN MY TOP 25-50 CDS OF EVERYTHING I OWN AND HAVE HEARD.

From: titothetitan Date: December 27, 2018 at 11:32
Great debut on the same level of Talk of the Town's one but not as strong as Treat, Europe or Alien. 'Feel the Fire', 'Runaway', 'Like An Eagle' and 'I'm Hurt' are the highlits. The rest is just OK. There's a Dvd bootleg titled Live in Sweden 06.06.1989.

From: titothetitan Date: November 20, 2019 at 17:12
This is the only great album by them. It will catch you instantly with it's big choruses and keyboards. 'Feel the Fire' such a lovely song. 'I'm Hurt' will stuck in your head for weeks. Sadly, on their second album they departed to a generic and boring Hard Rock that lacks everything that made this debut big. And on the third album, 'Positive Buyoant', despite having the great Göran Edman on vocals, there are 8 instrumental songs out of 10. That anomaly should have never been called Glory as there's no relation with AOR whatsoever. I never heard the fourth and fifth album and I never will.
