Very good, west-coast styl AOR. That what's all about in this music. Softly player tunes, with some keyboard etc. If there is an oppurtunity to grab it, get yourself a copy. My. fav. track is ''Time Is All We Need''

Great POP/Lite AOR, one of the best in my opinion, even better than Fingerprints. The song 'Taking a Chance' is a must, brilliant!!!!! If you like the lightest portion of the AOR sound, buy if you can, I recommend!

The opening trio of songs are all pretty special. 'Giving My Heart Away' is very upbeat, while the title track 'West Of Sunset' is a real melter, with a sublime chorus and vivid verses leading into it. 'Ocean Boulevard' is another upbeat pop masterpiece. 'Now You've Gone' is a subtle ballad which drifts on an ocean of emotion. Again the choruses are killer! The sound is very mid-west oriented, not smooth Swedish 'playing AOR by numbers' at all, but more syncopated and stripped back.

Now this IS worth tracking down. Glorious pop/rock with a perfect up-lifting summery feel to the music. 'Ocean Boulevard' particularly is a glorious feel-good tune with lush melodies and great harmonies all over it. 'Gotta Have it all' is another real highlight and is just so damn catchy, as is the brilliant 'Homeward Bound'. This is pretty light and is more equivalent Swedish pop-rock acts like Martin Stenmarck/Jan Johansen than to Skagarack or Treat, but it's a near-perfect disc IMO. 9.5/10.

sorry to say but imo this one is overrated. may be i´m not so much into westcoast music, but to me this is lite aor and the songs aren´t remarkable enough to pay that much money. 6/10

Well to all you who like West of Sunset I have very good news. The guys have started to work together again, after many years, doing other things. Björn took a total brake from the musicbusiness, but have written many good, fantastic songs during this brake. And he sings better than ever. Thomas have been touring with other artists, among others, Sofi Zelmani and Eva Dahlgren. So watch out for West of sunset, cause they will concer the whole world this time.

What a smoooooth classic. I'm in a mood where I'd like to enclose this album with my arms and spend the rest of my life with these kinds of sweet melodies on an lonesome island... 'West of Sunset', 'Now you're gone', 'I just wanna hold you' & Homeward Bound' are sweetest wescoast, while 'Giving my heart away', 'Ocean Boulevard', 'Gotta have it all' & 'Taking a chance' are more fun styled. I don't need to mention 'Time is all..'. 'Before I trust my heart' is a wonderful wescoast ballad.

'Giving My Heart Away'is the only track I did listen to from these guys and it's fantastic westcoast/aor of a very good quality.I did think they played a kind of poppish/aor like Fingerprints but evidently they are different....When someone will re-issue this one please????

Very good chill out melodies...I do not think, standing beside Oliver, that this album is so special.Worth hearing lying on a beautiful beach of a Greek Island, enjoying your cocktail...I give 78 out of 100.

That´s what i call great music in the lightest AOR side, beautiful melodies and that voice remembers me Jeff Scott Soto for moments, all the songs have magic,is true that has poppy moments but we don´t care at all if high quality music is delivered in this album,Gotta have it all,Giving my heart away,Ocean Boulevard,Now you´re gone(great ballad!)and I just wanna hold you, all will take you to AOR WESTCOAST heaven, buy it and enjoy it with a girl,9/10.

Be warned: If you associate bands like Toto with Westcoast music -avoid this! Apart from the first two songs this has just boygroup charme for me. Greasy...

Definitely at the light and poppy end of AOR, but still an album full of good songs - just don't expect too many big guitars!

This really does little for me, except for the smooth title track which is a little pearl.
