One of alice's best disc. It rocks from beginning to end. Very hard disc to track down!

This cd is a must have. Talk about a walk in the park w/a madman!!! It's brilliant!!!!

Why does this remind me of an Elton John record more than an Alice Cooper CD? Maybe the Bernie Taupin factor... who knows? I've always likened this concept album to a musical version of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". A vast improvement over "Lace and Whiskey" and perhaps the last "classic" Alice album before descending into the depths of ridiculousness.

Best Alice Cooper CD out there. An interesting walk through the mental ward. Both rockers and ballads are covered here. Maybe the two best Alice songs ever are on this disc in "Quiet Room" and "Jack knife Johnny." Two songs full of emotion and power, showing off alice's voice at his best. Not to mention his only real radio hit "How you gonna see me now." Hard to find album, but well work the trouble of tracking down.

koogles has this right-elton john's band-this is Alice in one flew over the cuckoos nest-did we spell that right koogles? I like from the inside, the quiet room, serious and how you gonna see me now...his only real radio hit? remember only women bleed? you and me?......Don't say this is Alice's best cd unless you've heard them all-Alice was trying to get his shit together-I'm Alice's biggest fan-remember lps? They came before cds....wake up!

A great Cooper album. Not sure if it's just because I've liked it since I was a kid (1978 WOW! I'm getting freakin' old!) or if it really is as good as I perceive it to be. Either way a good listen all the way through. My ALICE page: http://www.nolifetilmetal.com/alicecooper.htm

Bill-I have heard all the Cooper albums and this one along with Killers are easily my two favorite. It's hard to say which one is the "best" since Alice has always covered such a huge spectrum within hard rock. The lyrics on this album are pure genius. It still blows my mind that Kip Winger was a part of Alice's back up band at one time. Try as i might I can't see Kip playing Halo of Flies.

Beautiful mayhem here. I believe this ranks along side of his very best.

From: Aussie Dave Date: March 16, 2005 at 17:33
This was his last good album until the mid to late eighties where metal/hard rock was at it's peak(and oh yeah Alice was sober). I liked this album but thought it wasn't his best! Had the great hit How You Gonna See Me Now, as well as the fantastic Inmates(We're All Crazy). Not bad, but certainly not near his best! 7/10....

From: Treat_Brazil Date: November 4, 2007 at 14:26
I think "Pain" is one of the best Cooper songs, both musically and lyrically. It's different, but it's a fun album. Highlights :"Talk Talk", "Clones", "Pain", "Grim Facts".

From: DNOMYTE Date: May 22, 2009 at 19:45
Treat_Brazil you commented on the wrong album, Flush the Fashion is the one you are referring to, but anyways this is a fantastic cooper release one of my favs, very personal record too. A++++
