Possibly among the worst 10 releases I`ve ever heard. Sorry KISS fans.

From: Reno Date: May 3, 2002 at 0:41
As much as I like Kiss....I wasn't impressed with this cd at all. Peter is better than this....what the hell happened?

From: oldyett Date: June 26, 2002 at 22:29
ABSOLUTE CRAP FROM THE STUPIDEST PERSON IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS---WALKED AWAY FROM KISS TWICE--MAKES SENSE, THOUGH, WHY TOUR THE WORLD LIVING THE DREAMS OF UNTOLD MILLIONS OF MUSICIANS ON HIS VERY LIMITED TALENT WHEN HE CAN CONTINUE TO RECORD MORE MILLION SELLERS LIKE THIS--HEY PETE--GET A FUCKIN' CLUE--ABSOLUTE SHIT OF THE HIGHEST ORDER----BETH WAS A LONG TIME AGO---SEE YOU AT THE "WHERE ARE THEY NOW" CONVENTION---

From: Kim Date: July 23, 2002 at 17:14
OK..........Here it is. The worst......It beats Donnie Miller, Roadhouse(Which is a classic, compared to this) and Van Halen (Diver Down)............But what could be expected from the singer of the worst balled ever.Beth. Listen to it. Damn it sucks.

Dan.....We have a Top 25 list Could we have a ``Bottom 25`` list as well.???` This one would be a candidate.

From: James Date: January 7, 2003 at 2:18
I had this album and it does have more songs than 5. other than that the only thing I have to say about this album it that it is a total waste of time and money on part of the artist, record company, stores that sold it and us poor souls that bought it.

From: RichieRocker Date: January 7, 2003 at 2:44
I always felt Peter was a decent if not average drummer. I also feel like Eric Carr was a much better drummer than Peter was. I havent heard this album but I did hear his solo album with KISS and I wasnt impressed.

From: Poison Arrow Date: January 9, 2003 at 13:43
There was this EP, and a full length album called Cat #1. don't have this ep, but the full length disc is horrible. the main problem is that Peter let his tone deaf band mates sing along with him. The one highlight on Cat #1 is the tribute to his mother 'blue moon over brooklyn'. It's heartfelt and emotional. having said that, the only Peter Criss album I really recommend is 'Out of Control' which has some great songs on it.

From: Scott Date: February 12, 2003 at 16:03
Cat #1 featured a guest appearance by Ace Frehley, a front cover with Peter Criss wearing his Cat make-up on half his face, and a new version of the Kiss classic "Beth." Criss & his band toured with Frehley's Comet, all of this raising hopes that the original Kiss may get back together, which they did. Other than this tidbit, this CD sucks! A tad better than his two 80's albums, but only a tad! I say this and I am a longtime KISS fanatic! http://www.nolifetilmetal.com/kiss.htm

From: mojijackson Date: February 27, 2003 at 16:45
"Bad Reputation" is on the FULL-LENGTH CD. And is a really good tune. Better than The White Stripes,The Hives,The Crap,The Blah!!!

From: SPOTLIGHT Date: June 3, 2003 at 22:40
Sure, this might not have been the best Peter Criss could've done. But, I enjoyed it. Well, actually, the full length release. "Bad People Burn In Hell" was cool. I thought this was actually better than his previous non-Kiss releases. From what I heard, the label went under right as this was released. This album might've been bigger than it was with a decent label behind it...and maybe a better production. But, like I said, I enjoyed it. Go Pete! (creeper@sunlink.net)

From: Great Dane Date: June 4, 2003 at 20:49
Go Pete.............Goddamn SPOTLIGHT are you Peter Criss.??????? This probably the worst piece of crap relesed ever.

From: Jimbo Date: June 5, 2003 at 1:06
Great Dane, I'm afraid that distinction belongs to Nikki Sixx's solo project 58. This however runs a strong second.

From: Fat Freddy Date: December 19, 2003 at 18:20
I saw Criss touring with Ace Frehley twice on their "Bad Boys" tour in mid-to-late 1995 and they were pretty damn good, so when I came across the full album version of this disc I picked it up. Wished I hadn't. Awful, awful, awful! I don't know where all the good (non-Kiss cover) songs they played in their live set came from because they certainly weren't on this album!

From: tomcat Date: December 19, 2003 at 20:48
this is a nice ep, but nothing spectacular...the parody on Paul and Gene is funny (in the middle of the song 'the cat')

From: Apoc_DOP Date: January 2, 2004 at 20:51
Peter Criss did indeed throw a truly successful career down the toilet as a mediocre drummer in the worlds most succesful 70's band. But he did show signs of life through the first 4 albums. He listened to everyone tell him how Beth had saved Kiss (partially true), but went downhill from there. Eric Carr was far and away a better drummer, truly a musician. And if Eric were still alive, Peter would never have "re-joined" Kiss. Then he sells his make-up rights, proving how truly dumb he is!!!

From: Christine Date: January 2, 2004 at 21:24
I'm not so sure Simmons & Stanley wouldn't have dropped Eric Carr the same way they dropped Bruce Kulick. Everyone's expendable when Gene's wallet is involved. As for this album, I listened to a few tracks at the used CD store and put it back on the shelf.

From: Rycheage Date: July 14, 2004 at 22:29
This is some beat stuff. Not at all coherent and the cheese factor is on 10. This is better off as coaster material.

From: wzcj02 Date: September 21, 2005 at 5:33
My version of this album has about 10 songs on it. It is mostly woeful I'd agree but a couple of songs I thought were good being "strike" and "blue moon over brooklyn". No, we didn't need another version of beth.

From: aMetalhead1966 Date: January 11, 2006 at 14:32
Peter had a great voice, but damn he can't seem to be able to set up his drums, letl alone write music...this really sucks... Peter, call gene and kiss his ass for your old Job back...0/10

From: Rob Rocker Date: July 17, 2007 at 10:52
I don't understand all the negative reviews of this C.D.? The production and at times performance is slightly lacking but the song writing is more consistent than KISS's 80's output (Lick It Up through Hot In The Shade) and Frehely's Comet. This is not a "must have" album but it's in no way "the worst piece of crap ever released". To me it comes closest to sounding like "classic KISS" than any of what the other original members were doing at the time.
