More great music from the pins that sounds best at high volume.

What???? Nobody write about this band?, Where are all the experts in Hard and Aor music?, This record is hot, quite good, excellent vocals and sentimental guitars, you must Know them, come on!, if you know something about them, write me romeorock68@hotmail.com

This kicks total ass! It's WAY more metal than AOR. In fact it's nothing like AOR - more like Dangerous Curves-era Lita Ford with even more balls and wailing guitar and very few keyboards. Cool heavy-ass riffs and great vocals - way heavier than Vixen and Lee Aaron who are always considered metal. Awesome CD! Too Loud McLeod ruled! If you like this, don't forget to check out Chrissy Steele's great album, it was apparantly meant to be a Headpins CD after Mills and the band split.

What? Where's TURN IT LOUD? Both CDs are 24bit digitally remastered. They're both great albums. The bass and drums kicks some serious ass. I learned a number of songs on both these discs on guitar. "WINNING" has a nice, slow and heavy feel. My grade 9 classmate at Beaconsfield High in NFLD with bad taste in music laughed at me on The Headpins. I want to ask him "Why? 'Cause they're Canadian and from Vancouver?"

Eat your heart out Quiet Riot and Twisted Sister!!!!! "I Know What You're Thinkin'" is something I would crank up to piss off to my Grade 9 classmates back in 1983. THIS IS ONE OF VANCOUVER'S FINEST ROCK BANDS, BAR NONE!!! Darby Mills is a female version of Brian Johnson.

Darby Mills released a solo CD back in 1991 with The Unsung Hereos. It had a couple of songs on it like "Cry To Me" and the ballad "Give It All Up". I remember hearing these two songs back in St. John's, NFLD on OZFM. I have this CD and it is signed by guitarist Corey James-Philips. He used to work for Ward's Music at the corner of Seymour and Pender Street here in Vancouver. He told me Darby Mills lives in Vernon, BC, raising children.

Songs like 'I Know What You're Thinking', 'Double Trouble', the title track, and the opener 'Mine All Mine' are excellent examples of their female fronted style. Some songs stand out more than most, especially 'Just One More Time' and 'Celebration', both brilliant slices of melodic rock where Darby's vocal power comes to the fore.

I bought an original vynyl copy from a second-hand store when this band was virtually unknown in England. Big, bright and clear, melodic lead guitar. Wonderful raunchy voiced female vocalist - hear her laugh at the end of the first track. "Mine All Mine", and "Don't Stand In The Line of Fire" are my personal favourites, but the entire album is superb. I still play these loud in my car. Excellent album. Get it if you are lucky to find a copy. Rocktron from England.

these guys came to town a few years ago. I here them more on the radio today than in their heyday. All of the songs on the radio kick ass. I've never listned to a full album though.

A very fine release, and Headpins best one. 8 tracks, 36 minutes, no filler. A great mix of harder melodic rock 'Mine All Mine' and more commercial tunes like the excellent duo of 'One More Time' & 'Celebration'. Add a great Brian Macleod production to the mix and THAT voice of DM and you have one killer album. Re-issued on Solid Gold a couple of years back , so is relatively easy to track down - and i suggest you do so.

Ms Mills definately has a voice on her, that's for sure. I like this one much better than the debut. Great hard rockin' vibe, which is what I like most about these guys. 'Feel it' and 'Double trouble' are great riff driven, catchy hard rockers. 'Just one more time' is a nice commercial touch and another album highlight. Good solid hard rock.

HardRock de la época osea de inicios de los 80s, buen sonido y el toque de teclados le da frescura a los temas pero la verdad no son de mi preferencia total, todas ok y alegronas pero nada mas. "Just One More Time" buen tema full comercial pero ahi nomas. La actitud que ponen en "Mine,All Mine" hace que sea mi favorita junto a "Double Trouble". 7.8/10
