This is Johnny's first album re-recorded - plus 2 new tracks, & it sounds all the better for it. Probably the best sounding & most consistent release yet, & even if you own the debut this is probably still worth picking up. Great Melodic Rock with a lush production, & one of the new tracks: "Drift Away" is simply the finest tune the man has ever penned. Only tracks 3 & 11 are fillers, the rest - especially through the middle of the CD - are very strong, & this is highly recommended. 8.5/10. |

Wow, in genre where 80's artists love to deface and butcher their early works, an exception arises. This is honestly 100% better than the debut and an excellent effort by Mr Lima. I agree with Tim (2), this would easily have to be his best and most consistent work. 'Drift away' (also done by Atomic) is a highlight, as is the opener, 'Crazy' and 'If I had a heart'. I still don't like the ballads, especially 'Fly angel' and 'Rock n'roll river', but the rest is great. Very worthwhile album. |

Indeed, a good record from Johnny. The sound is now a lot stronger and tighter. If you don't have his first album, you could do worse than add this one to your collection. |

Disappointing in a word. Sounds a whole lot better than the original version, but as with that, alot of the songs just don't find me wanting to hit the repeat button. OK, it's all well played & presented, but Lima's vocals are so close to JBJ at times I had to pinch myself to remind me it wasn't. There are some good moments here 'Drift Away', 'Fly Angel' & 'Little Runaway' which are all quality songs, but there is far too much filler for my liking. I'll stick to my Bon Jovi discs Thankyou. |

Of course, our Jez is the only here to find this disappointing. No, it's no classic stuff, but it's much better than Jez writes. Check it out ! |

Drive down the motorway, top down, volume up to get the best of Johnny Lima. However,he sometimes suffers from "filler" syndrome,if you can overcome that you're laughing.Enjoyable !!!! |

well, never hearing of this artist, I checked this one out, and my initial feeling was, not bad, an BJovi/DLep/Blind Date, 80's kinda thing, not a killer one for me, but like Wotty said, a feel good kinda album, nothing too serious, and some filler stuff, but not bad for my first taste of Johnny. |

buen disco de johnny lima contiene unos temas melodicos muy bien elaborados, la voz me recuerda bastante a Bon Jovi, exelentes medio tiempos como la cancion crazy, drift away, en general muy buen disco |

No, Jez is not the only one who finds this one disappointing. Me too. There isnīt any improvement since his first cd. Nearly all songs are written in the same style with those typical singalong chorusses and -to be honest - poor lyrics. Not to say this is a bad cd but if you own Mr.Limaīs 1st cd thatīs enough. Best track imo "Reckless Heart". 7,5/10 |
