You find out why C.C doesn't sing on POISON'S albums. If you like glam rock mixed with punk rock you might enjoy this. if you are looking for anything related to Poison look elsewhere

From: Curious B Date: January 31, 2002 at 11:09
I agree. This is a big departure from the Poison dayz. Lots of Glam and straight forward Rock. Good Buy!!

From: Reno Date: April 10, 2002 at 23:48
CC DeVille can't even talk right let alone sing! This cd would be awesome if it had a real vocalist. CC is still a great guitarist, but I can't get past his voice.

From: dokken6008 Date: April 12, 2002 at 11:55
First of all, I was surprised to actually FIND Samantha 7 on a site on Heavy Harmonies because this isn't really a "pure" rock album. S7 is C.C. with 2 other mediocre players doing pop-punk. As the other reviewers made mention of, this sounds nothing like Poison, it's more along the lines of Cum 41 or Queef 182 (both of which have better vocalists, mind you). C.C. does not have a terrible voice, but he DOES have a terribly bland & boring one w/ very little emotion or expression. Stick w/ Poison.

From: Tony Date: June 3, 2002 at 0:02
Uumm geez where to start?? C.C. can obviously pull killer riffs out of his butt at any given time and has also studied all his early Cheap Trick albums but that voice good f*#@*n god!!!! It's 'unique" I'll give it that but EVERY song is just sung in the same register, with the same emotion, and with the same tone. people here are right no matter how solid the power-pop riffs are I can't get past that voice.

From: dokken6008 Date: June 24, 2002 at 6:32
What Tony said. Enough with Poison fans sucking up (oh, and do they ever on the band's official BBS on their page) and sugar-coating the C.C. vocal issue: the guy fucking SUCKS!!! Welcome back to Poison, Deville now please don't bother us with many more of your attempts to become the new lead singer of the band. Bret is the man and we've had enough with your B.S.--just do what you do best and play the guitar, damn it!

From: AndreTekken Date: August 13, 2002 at 14:01
THIS IS NOT A HARD ROCK BAND THIS RATING IS WRONG!This is a poppypunk, emocore whatever, definetely NOT a hard rock band!It is kinda Green Day meets Poison.Honest songs, but poor production.Hey this is a bad drummer huh?!And what a dead man's voice CC owns!Sorry but you sould hire someone to sing!If you're into Green day,Offspring,Blink 182 type of music, certainly this one has been made for you!60 out of 10

From: AndreTekken Date: August 13, 2002 at 14:07
I also think CC DeVille plays better guitar than this!Very thrashy style of playing!

From: dokken6008 Date: September 26, 2002 at 8:22
Samantha 7 was much too simplistic of a band for me. C.C.'s solos and leads were good here but not much else was. His rhythm playing wasn't much of anything, I couldn't hear the bass, and yeah, the drummer-boy should have learned how to tune his kit. Let's not forget, C.C. doesn't know how to sing, either. On a positive note, the lyrical content is fun and often amusing (sometimes chuckle-inducing). I actually tried listening to this cd a few months ago. I actually got a headache--no lie.

From: vikingo666 Date: June 12, 2003 at 18:13
esto me suena a blink 182 o sum 41, no es el disco que esperamos de CC despues de oir esos riffazos de los primeros discos espero que no se le contagie mucho a poison porque la cagaran aunque ya en el ultimo disco ya algunas suenan a esto.

From: CC Date: November 2, 2003 at 16:32
One thing everyone who is complaining about it not sounding like Poison is forgetting is why do a solo or side project if it just sounds like your main band? If you do that, you might as well just stick with playing in your main band, solos are sposed to sound different. This is a really good album, very catchy tunes but not an all time great classic, just good time fun, what music is sposed to be anyway!

From: James Date: February 21, 2004 at 19:14
after years of having this, now i enjoy the album. I think it has something to do with my love for the 40ft Ringo (x-Trixter guys) and London Calling stuff(adriangale/guardian singer) that has allowed me to enjoy this. power pop/punk for sure but if you like that, it is a pretty solid cd.

From: ALEXX GLAM Date: July 30, 2004 at 16:16
I DONT HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST POP/PUNK BUT THIS IS A VERY LAME CD,OK C.C. IS NOT A GREAT SINGER BUT THE OTHER 2 GUYS REALY SUX IF YOU LOOK GOOD GLAM-POP-PUNK GET THE LAST POISON CD

From: Geoff Date: September 1, 2004 at 22:54
I love Poison, but man this is one of the worst CDs I have ever heard. I don't know how to describe it, because if I were to say pop-punk I think of excellent bands like Donots / SR-71 / Marvelous 3 that I do love, and this is NOTHING like them. This is just f*cked! An awful CD, IMO and nowhere near worth the $3.37 average above.

From: wzcj02 Date: December 12, 2006 at 14:29
Better disk than I was expecting (these guys have a poor reputation). "Framed" rocks and I can hear some Poison influences elsewhere. Sound is more punk.

From: WookieEnthal Date: July 12, 2009 at 0:28
I don't even have to listen to this to know it sucks. I love CC but he can't sing.
