The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular John Elefante CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from John Elefante are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Pass the flame is a great song. This album is much better than the second and as good as the first. If you remember John Elefante fronted Kansas for a while and is one of the top producers in any type of music. As good as Mutt Lange.

I have all three of JE's solo albums but to be honest they're not quite what I'm looking for from an ex member of Kansas! Granted, he was only with the band for two albums - and I haven't actually heard either of those - but I cannot imagine that they are anything like as lightweight as this solo stuff. It's just too damn NICE! Smooth to the point of being bland - although I've listened to this one fairly recently nothing about it has stuck in my mind. Pleasant, inoffensive, competent AOR. 6/10.

what is such a shock is that he produced some of the hardest hitters of the early 90's in the christian rock scene so i expected a bit more punch from his solo stuff.

This simply is amazing! John has one the greatest voices of our time, and his orchestration and production is nothing short of perfection. Yes, he and his brother Dino have produced some of the "hardest hitters of the early 90's," but don't let the fact that this is a softer effort discourage you from giving it a listen. You should not be disappointed. This is top form AOR!

Pleasant album...mature lyrics as usual and nice melodies..CCM at its best soft way possible ...John has always been a big influence for musicians related with the genre since his days in Kansas but basically when he launched his solo career and producing CCM bands was when he got all the attention ..."If You Just Believe","Defying Gravity","The Way That You Love Me"(catchy) & "Give It All Away" are nice songs..."Pass The Flame" & "The Truth,The Life" my fave ones...good album if you are into this religious stuff..87/100
