this is a good album, not great. You can hear some of the Tyketto sound but overall you don't hear it enough. When you listen to the best part of the album you are very happy with the result but the bad part of the album is bad. Too much of the 90's influence. |

Hi James. When Danny Vaughn sings is always a pleasure for my ears. This one is not as good as Don't come easy(classic of Aor),but maybe better than Srenght in numbers(the two Tyketto's albums where Danny sang). Sure Vaughn are more blues than Tyketto. In their new cd 'Fearless(2001)' I miss the sympathy of songs like Gandy dancer or the hidden tracks. They are my favorites togheter with 'Is that all there is' in this cd. |

This is a great CD. The layers and diversity in the music is fantastic. Danny is really singing songs from his heart. Look for Dannys previous CD: Flesh & Blood-'Blues For Daze' with Mark Mangold, Al Pitrelli, Mitch DeStafano, & Chuck Bonfonte, this is a fantasic line up, with excellent songs. I think this is the best cd with Danny nest to Waysted. |

I have heart the new Vaughn cd and it is better than this. Back to the Tyketto style on most all song. |

Vaugn's debut album sees the guys take the best of what they were, adding it to their new influences, resulting in an album that is modern while retaining a classic rock feel. First listen might see you with the opinion that it's a simple and straightforward album. But the beauty of this record is that with every listen there is more unfolding in front of you and it is on these repeat listens that the many melodies on the record become more familiar. |

Being rather naive and bought it to get another "Don't come easy". Then disappointment, of course, because just #6 is close to this Tyketto vibes (IMO). On the other side of the coin I got "civil" face of DV that covers (as BPG wrote) quite a wide range of music. From (modern) hard "millenium" rock, through funky, pop to southern rock. If I had to choose someone to compare generally I'd pick out the first Joey Tempest's album. Actually, I remember I had expected more from him too. 70/100. |
