| Cool name, ho-hum music. Poley is loved by melodic rockers for his days with Danger Danger, but this CD sounds like it was penned & performed by a man whose heart wasn't into it. Nobody will consider this to be up to the standards Ted set with D2, nor will too many folks say it is anything more than average. Poor production & low-energy songs hurt this release. You won't hate yourself for buying it, but neither are you going to immediately run to the phone to tell all your friends about it...

| I have to say that this does sound a lot like a Danger Danger album. Maybe it's just Ted Poley's voice. It's not as good as those first 2 albums but it's worth the price. Any melodic hard rock or AOR fan would dig this for sure.

| Melodica is a band that if you love feel good melodic rock as the Melodic Rocker does then you will love this. However, if you are looking for heavier grooves or absolute ground breaking material, if that really exists, then look elsewhere. I loved it. Thanks Melodica and don't change at all.

| Now, I love Ted from the D2 days, but this is just AWFUL. Ted is so out of tune in some parts it's almost laughable. I don't remember him writing many tunes in the D2 days, so part of the problem is maybe he just isn't a very good songwriter. Sounds like a few decent tunes hidden behind low budget production and out of tune vocals, but I wouldn't recommend it. If you need to hear Ted at his peak, get D2's "Cockroach". It rocks.

| Agree completely with MelodicBoy, a dreadful CD. It sounds so bad it's almost unlistenable, and the vocals are out of tune and soul-less. "Never Let you Go" sounds like it could be a classic AOR tune, given the right vocalist and production. Play this after playing the first DD album and you will realise how bad this is.

| More D2-esk than "Lovemetal" but the below-par production and off-tune vocals really killed any chance of the Melodica debut from becoming a big seller. One of the few albums that could've benefitted from a little studio polish. Best track: "Hardest Part of Love."

| I harbour nowhere near the ill feelings many do towards this release. Okay, so it's a shit production, that is obvious, and Ted's vocals do not shine like they did with D2, but this is still a good melodic rock release with very good songs. Someone rightly bought up the fact that Ted does not write songs as good as what he sung in D2 with Bruno and Steve at the pen, but there are some crackers here like tracks 5-9.I'd prefer it if it sounded like a band effort as opposed to a group of individual

| musicians laying down their part and then hitting the road without regards for the final product, but it still sounds okay. As noted, a tighter production and band effort would have been better, but I still give this the thumbs up for some good songs.

| Well...I'd have to agree with those that say there's some good songs on this album, because there really is. My favorites would have to be "Hardest Part Of Love" and the title track. Ted still sings good in this, but there is no way that this compares to Danger Danger. Good light, melodic rock, but definitely not the same. Worth a listen, but nothing to get excited about. Production is a bit on the mediocre side, but credit given...good music overall.

| not as strong musically as lovemetal and yes the vocals do not come across strong on this album. There some good songs, especially "hardest part of love". The other good songs are mainly ballads. D2 is better. Lets hope we actually get a new studio record from D2 now that Ted is back.

| Ted's worst release, the guy is so out of key on "Never let you go" that I HATE the song, even though it could have been a classic. Avoid.

Very poor CD like a 3rd rate demo of the mid 80's : save your money for others stuff ! if you like TED POLEY works In D2 you should try the HUGE "collateral damage" CD in the vein of his best efforts !

| Wow plenty of bad comments mainly because Ted's vocal skills...in my case i've found this album quite good and with a Ted probably not a 100% of his capacity but still doing a more than a decent job IMHO...in agreement with MetalWarrior's comment,i think he said it all...about the songs,my faves are "It's Not Enough","Never Let You Go"(great!),"Best Friend"(nice)& "Playing With Fire"...recommended againts all will...93/100
