Good album, anyone remember the others- Fiona, Beyond The Pale and Squeeze, where is she now!! Anyone know where this can be obtained on CD??

Actually thought that Fiona and Beyond the Pale rocked harder, but this is still a good CD. Reb Beach of Winger fame was actually her guitarist for the longest time. A good CD overall.

Beyond the Pale was better than her others. I used to have the album, but I think I played it to death!

Fiona whose first demo was made with the "Dixie Dregs" backing her and ace guitarist "Steve Morse" playing and arranging. "Dave (The Snake) Sabo" and "Scotti Hill" of "Skid Row" also appeared on her demos as did "Bon Jovi's -Tico Torres". Personaly liking "Beyond The Pale" more this is still a good album!

I really wanted this for the one song with Kip Winger, but when I got it, that and "Victoria Cross" were the only ones I liked. What was she, some kind of metal Britney Spears? Shit, look at tll the people she had to have play on this album alone? 3.5/10 from this boy. "Good night, Victoria Cross, time flies." Is that a lesbian love song?

Hey Fizzy, have to agree with some of your points. I have "Squeeze" and it rocks much harder. Some of the tunes on this one are a bit poppy, "Little Jeannie" sounds like a Britney tune. Still some good stuff on here, though. If Fiona's a lesbian, I'd pay money to see her in action!

Que raro, porque sólo aparecen dos discos disponibles, el primero creo que definitivamente es el mejor, éste no acaba de convencerme del todo más que por dos o tres rolas, con todo y el personalotote que la acompaña. THE SONG MARIEL ITS COOL, BUT SOUNDS LIKE "THIS DREAMS" OF HEART, HAVE YOU NOTED?

Personally I liked her debut self titled album better...it was released in either 1984 or '85, as far as I know its never been out on disc....She also has some songs on the soundtrack to "No Small Affair", with Zebra & Twisted Sister.

According to Melodicrock.com, Fiona's S/T and "Beyond the Pale" are being rereleased soon. You have to buy them thru a website called (I think) Wounded Bird records. That may save some people a lot of cash on Ebay trying to track those 2 down.

Just listened to this one and it's very mediocre and clichéd ! Sorry ! Only the song 'Here It Comes Again' is a bit better. No competition for Heart, Saray, Witness etc.

From: MelodicBoy |
Date: March 16, 2004 at 20:50 |
Hey Freaky, give "Squeeze" a listen if you get a chance. It blows this one away (and rocks much harder, too). I like the first Saraya CD, but the 2nd one didn't grab me at all. I think "Squeeze" is right there with the 1st Saraya and the Witness CD.

I really liked this CD when I bought it back in 1991 I think. Lost of good memories to this album. To bad the CD was damaged some years ago..I can only play the first tracks...I must get a new one! I haven't heard the "Squeeze" album - this is brobably even better....

Another good cd from Fiona. "Everything You Do (You're Sexing Me)" is one of the greatest melodic rock/aor duets of all time. Other highlights include "Mariel", "Draw the Line", & "Here It Comes Again". Ok, there´s some filler tracks too (like that horrible first song) but don´t you mock Fiona´s voice cause it´s sooo good & sexy!!

This was one of those tapes I bought for one song, and that turned out to be the only good song on it ("Everything You Do" of course). The rest is extremely lightweight, barely hard rock. The Mariah Carey comparison is completely laughable, as Fiona sounds more like a Debbie Gibson-type voice.

Apart from the big list of musicians that participated in this album and obviously helped to enrich it,we have as a result a very good release, enjoyable but not so extraordinaire,it could have been more solid with such guests..anyway as usual when a female rocker singer gives us an album usually by nature we have good music and we're talking here about the talented Fiona..."Little Jeannie" starts the party nicely,"Everything You Do" of course a highlight in the album and with the excellent duo of Kip Winger, says it all..."Where The Cowboys Go" is an excellent track, far the best track,"Here It Comes Again" another goodie and to finish 2 cool tracks "Look At Me Now" & "When Pink Turns To Blue"(nice and catchy chorus). As far as i'm concerned this is her best release, somehow always caught my attention to have it but i've just recently bought the cd.Fiona's voice is Ann Wilson's alike(Heart singer).85/100

hum this time, i am not ok with my friend rick.fiona is a good singer, but she have nothing in common with ann wilson, who is one of the best singer of this planet.ann wilson have a fantastic ,powerful charismatic voice .with fiona sometimes i have the feeling that she sings with her noze.nevertheless this record is really excellent.it s her best record without anydoubt .if you have to choose one fiona s record take "heart like a gun"only good songs ,no filler..no bonus track on the japan import.

This is what happens when you marry a big-name producer (Beau Hill). He calls in all his famous session-player and songwriter friends and sets you up. Gets you a duet with an it-boy of the day (in the form of Kip Winger) that gets you on MTV for a few weeks. Maybe I'm being unfair, but there just ain't much here.

Little Jeannie, Where The Cowboys Go, and Everything You Do (w Kip Winger) were the album's three singles, all good. But I do think they should have released "Draw the Line" (written by Fiona with Mike Slamer) and "Here It Comes Again" as singles/videos, because they have killer choruses, infectious! Also the song penned with multi-talented Aldo Nova, the beautiful ballad "Look at Me Now", was certainly single-worthy. Not quite as good as Squeeze, but still her 2nd best, and overall a nice collection of songs with stellar musicians (Brad Gillis – guitar, Rod Morgenstein – drums, and of course prime Kip in Everything You Do). Pretty good sound too. Only minor minus was the choice of singles, perhaps. Still, highly recommended. Fiona released a few solid albums, but what she missed was a smash hit single.
