Much underated CD from Walk On Fire - I think their label went down in the States before they could tour - great singer, great songs

who is this band?

Not at all similar to Jimi Jamison or Journey. This is boring, non-distinct crap. I'd rather walk on fire than listen to the band thusly named.

I couldn't disagree more with Koogles. This is a fantastic AOR disc - loads of hooks and fantastic keyboards and rockin guitars. Guitarist Mike Caswell was formerly in another great 80's AOR band called 'Heroes'. Anyways , this ranks right up there with BLVD and YA YA.

A much underated CD from a great song writer and artist Dave Cairns. In fact they did tour successfully but the record label went down just before their album was due to be promoted nationally. The quality of the tracks are outstanding and better than much of the crap promoted today. But the lyrics and harmonies make this an album to play when you need a lift-my favourites are Close my eyes and hearts of gold-gets me every time.

Thanks for some of the great commments about my album, really appreciate it. You were right, just as we were due for release on the new UNI/MCA label in the States, the label and the main man behind us got canned/sidelined thru a classic record company re-shuffle at the top and I knew the album would never get properly promoted in The US. We carried on in the UK with MCA, touring extensively but with little success- shame it's no longer available. Thanks Dave Cairns

Nice music to listen to especially if you're vacationing on a private island or on a yacht. Overall, a very good record.

This is another one of those CDs that has survived my hawk-like swoops of the collection when looking stuff I can do without and try to sell on ebay. I don't play it that often, but it is a nice collection of AOR songs and some of them really are quite good. A fine collection of songs. Not great, certainly not bad by any means.

this is an amazing cd, has become one of my all time favourites besides Strangeways, Red Dawn etc....it`s very high class melodic rock...listen to the beatyful tunes 'caledonia', 'hungry for heaven'....

Well, I did as per z4roxx's request and listened to this again and I must say I was very accurate in my first comment, but I must add that this is exactly what Drive She Said were/are doing, but IMO much better. It may not have the reputation or cast of Drive She Said, but these songs are identical in style, but much better and 100% more consistent. Check out 'Hearts of Gold' - could have come off any DSS said album! Very solid AOR, very similar to Drive She Said, but IMO much better

Listening to this jewel one more time(of several times i've done since i bought it way back when it came out, never got the chance of writing a comment about this only WOF release, just a brief one in 2006 )...remember i bought first the 2 maxi singles that were put out of the songs "Blind Fate" & Crime Of Loving You" which are the band's anthems IMO...talking about the whole album, well,a delight of melodies all around backed up by the splendid voice of Mr King(a really underrated singer by all means)...another blasting moments could easily be the beautiful and killer mid tempo song "Caledonia" plus "Wastelands","Tell It Like It Is","Hearts Of Gold" and so on...i'm not the kind of persons that rate a "100" easily but this one surely deserves it...100/100!!! ...whatever happened to these musicians it'd be well appreciated if you share the info...thanks
