Oct. 12, 2025: Message Board Migration Still Going...

The HH message board is still shut down. The current host delayed in getting me the final archive, so I wasn't able to get it to the consultant doing the migration until yesterday, so it will likely still be several more days, since I have to do some further testing and configuration after it comes back up.

I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected.

-Dan

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Old Gods Of Asgard CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Old Gods Of Asgard are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Old Gods Of Asgard are Poets Of The Fall under a pseudonym used for video games from Remedy Entertainment, which includes games like Alan Wake and Control etc. This album is a compilation of songs used in various games, hence it being "Greatest hits". Musically they tread a slightly different path to their main band being a lot more classic rock sounding, which sits somewhere between prog rock and something akin to what Yngwie Malmsteen might do. They really go guns out with some of the guitar work on here, which is where I get the Yngwie comparison from, but it really suits the music. Stand out tracks for me are The Skald Awakens, Dark Ocean Summoning, Anger's Remorse and the most well known track, Herald Of Darkness, a nearly 10 minute long epic song in the style of Bohemian Rhapsody with it's multiple style changes. You don't have to be a gamer to enjoy this as it is just great rock music, but if you have played the games you already know what to expect.
