Not as good as "The Art Of Balance" of 2010 but still pleasant enough to be considered another "hit"..trully Steve Newman is a hit maker by all means..even in his weakest releases the guy delivers top notch compositions(only grat musicians do this and Steve Newman surely is one of them)...the whole album is pretty solid but if i have to select songs i'd go for these ones: "Killing Me"(great!),"If He Loves You"(catchy),"Under Southern Skies"(great!),"Strenght To Carry On"(powerful mid tempo),"Ghost In The Night"(great!) & "Fire With Fire"(solid ballad)...recommended...89/100

| Sure wish I liked this guy's voice, because he can really write AOR with the best of them. With Steve Perry's voice, this very well could have been a terrific Journey album in the vein of "Frontiers" -- it's really got that 1983-ish vibe to it, especially the chorus harmonies. (The opener, "Killing Me" is very reminiscent of "Separate Ways") As it is, though, it serves as merely a hollow reminder of that era, since Newman is nowhere in Perry's league vocally. Really good melodic songs and classy production otherwise lacking due to Newman's irritating vocal quality. If he stuck to the writing, playing and production aspects and brought in another vocalist I'd enjoy his material a whole lot more. 78 / 100

| Well what can I say about this wonderful release. I didn't had any exposure to the previous albums from this band, not a single song I had heard, then I decided to get this CD and it really has some great melodic rock/AOR vibe on all of the songs... My personal favorites are: "If he loves you" , "Under Southern Skies", "Without Warning" (love the chorus), "Fire with Fire" & "Wish you Were Here" (this song is very emotional and it's written about Paul parents who passed away not too long)... For like me who discovered this band from this CD, I was really impressed

| another fine release by NEWMAN as usual ,but this time a bit on the mellow side !their sound is updated with the hooks always present in every song!Steve s voice isnt the best ,but his songwriting ability is remarkable and he s very faithful to his music!"fire with fire" and "strength to carry on" are the best moments
