What an awful cover... but luckily this does not reflect the music. In my mind, Newman can do no wrong and this might be their best yet. Stunning melodic rock, flawlessly executed. No duds here, just gems. 'Ain't gonna cry forever' is one of the best melodic rock tunes I've heard in years, 'The circle' is just brilliant, and 'Never meant to fall in love' is another fave. Special mention must be made of the acoustic closer, 'Any other Sunday' - what a song! The whole album is brilliant though.

Despite cutting down on keys this is surely the best NEWMAN yet. "Aint Gonna Cry Forever" & "The Circle" are classic AOR with huge hooklines. But (as Geoff mentions) "Any Other Sunday" is most deserving of a mention, a brilliantly written tune sung with real emotion. The only downside here is the lack of good melodic verses. There are big hooks in the choruses but the verses aren't as good. See HOUSE OF LORDS ("Million Miles"/"SOS" etc) for how to get this right. Otherwise excellent. 8.5/10.

Like Rafo Phoenix i love all albums of Newman. This is however his finest moment to date. Can this guy write a melodic rock tune or what. Newman gets better by every cd. "Move On" is an absolute favorite on mine, such a great chorus. As are the Way you love me, Learning to love, The Circle (!!), This Time......need i continue . Stunner of an album and for me without a doubt in my top 5 of 2006. Awesome !!

this is by far his best work - fantastic DISC. Nothing else to say - production, music and songs are all fantastic. His best to date.

All the albums of Newman are good, but this one is still better IMO... Always as much energetic and melody, the music of Newman is effective and direct. The melodies and the choruses are very hookers. Highlights : Heaven Knows, Ain't Gonna Cry Forever, The Circle (This song is awesome !). Highly recommended for those who love non-soft melodic hard rock.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: June 7, 2007 at 10:32
hey hey Erik, of course mate New Newman album is very good specially with the bonus tracks "Heading for your heart, Rapture, For the man i am" and the bonus are Great the best songs, this new album is more in the style of Pride Of Lions "Roaring Of Dreams" i think "Primitive Soul" is very good but with the bonus is better, regards.

From: juan carlos Date: September 15, 2007 at 1:15
Otro muy buen album de Newman, AOR Británico sin dudas, "Ain't Gonna Cry Forever" es a ojo cerrado la mejor, los coros en "Move On", la melódica "The Circle" o "This Time" mis favoritas. La balada a piano "Learning To Live" típica en Newman(pero su mejor balada está en su disco anterior a éste) o la acústica "On Any Other Sunday" aceptable. Recomendado. 8.7/10

very good release by NEWMAN !this guy is a great songwriter and this is obvious in this one too!"aint gonna cry forever" and "the circle" are excellent songs and the rest is remarkable too!the guitar work by Anders Rydholm is suitable too and HEAVEN KNOWS becomes worthbuying

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 12, 2011 at 20:25
Even though it has some good tracks, this one i found it to be the "weakest" Newman release(a matter of tastes and tastes differ)..."Heaven Knows","Higher","Ain't Gonna Cry Forever"(excellent mid tempo),"The Circle"(the best cut of the album IMO)& "This Time" in my book...80/100

From: Kralli Date: January 4, 2012 at 8:52
Heaven Knows is a melodic rock moster! The rest is not really close at all.
