Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

Nowhere near as good as their previous effort, "One Step Closer." The superb production is still there, along with some rockin' melody, but the songs lack any significant catchiness. Here's hoping Steve Newman & company can do better next time. |

Newman is a band (?) that never disappoints and this third release is once again a good one ! Maybe the best ! But all three records are very good ! Good British AOR act ! |

It seems that we have a disc that delivers on all fronts, although some of the stern critics will probably complain of too many similar sounding tracks. This is one of those albums where if you like the first song, you're going to love the album. This is all the more impressive when spread over twelve tracks,so I can confidently say that any AOR collection would be stronger for it's inclusion. Sounds crisp and right up to date, although homage is paid to many classic bands of the early 80's. |

Good solid AOR album but definitely can't match their their 2nd one "One Step Closer" which is their best one overall. |

Not as good as the previous two, but still an excellent CD. Poorer sound but the songs are still excellent and very consistent in excellence. 'Must have been an angel' is spectacular, 'Remember the night' and 'Call my name' are also clear winners. Once again, another stellar album from a stellar performer. Highly recommended. |
