Too many ballads and not enough up-beat rockers. His voice is not power ballad material. It is a so-so album

Agreed. While I like much of the Whitecross material, this genre does not suit him...

If you're looking for metal on this debut solo effort from Whitecross singer Scott Wenzel, you'll be disappointed. But if big AOR/melodic rock anthems are your thing, this is some high-quality stuff, very hook-oriented, with over-the-top choruses and gang-style backing vocals. It may not be Whitecross, but it's still a pretty darn good album (in the melodic rock vein) in my opinion.

I actually think this album has got some of the best tunes Scott ever sung. Especially His Eyes and Give Up Your Heart ar great sungs. This is a great album...

I like the way Scott gives himself away in the songs. The music is not hiqh quality as most Whitecross albums, but the lyrics are directly form his heart, i like that.

I love the CD! I would really like to buy a copy but no one seems to have one. If anyone knows where I can get a copy, please e-mail to: kcmuscle53@hotmail.com Thanks.

I'm listening to it for the first time as I write this. My thoughts are that Whitecross was more geared for the rock aspect and this Album has got a little of that and is more diversified. I like it!

Very good album but people alway seem to miss the point of solo albums, they aint sposed to sound like the main band, its sposed to be the stuff they dont feel fits the main band otherwise why not just release it as band material........geddit? Where as Whitecross is very "Ratt" sounding, this is pure AOR at its finest!

Discazo, sin duda alguna.. Give up your heart, perfecta, solo con esta cancion ya vale el disco. 100!.

Fave tracks are track 1 and track 7. I agree with the comments above abot being to loaded down with ballads. Those who are familiar with Whitecross are accustomed to some heavier riffs (enter rex carroll). Why is so often that band member leave and do these solo albums that don't live up to the success they already have is beyond me. If I hear the term "to explore my craetive musicianship" one more time I will be sick. If it ain't broke it doesn't need to be fixed. 71/100

Great album with some powerful ballads ("Give Up Your Heart" which is beautiful)along with rocker ones such as the opener "One God One Love" and "Heart Like Thunder".This is not the metal sound of Whitecross, probably this one was more into his intimacy rather than an album for the masses.Anyway this is worth the buy...90/100
