JW'S new one - very good too, some great tracks ('Nothings gonna stand' could have come from the excellent 'Battle Lines cd) and some nice almost orchestral songs. Good band made up of Arena, Jadis, Pendragon members and the mighty Geoff Downes co-writes a couple of songs and chips in some keyboards. Much better than 'Sinister' from a couple of years back. |

'Rock of Faith' is an ironic title considering how little this CD actually ROCKS! Not to say this isn't good, it's just a listen recommended for quieter, more introspective moments. Way better production than 'Sinister' which DID rock but suffered from a muddy mix. Best tracks on 'Rock of Faith': the very Asia-like 'Take Me to the Waterline', 'A New Day' and the majestic 'Who Will Light a Candle'. A CD that graduates from good to excellent after several listens. |

Rock of Faith is very good, but I disagree with others ... Sinister was a great album, and if it could have had more promotion, especially in the US, it would have done better. As for Sinister's mix, what muddy mix? There's 2 versions of it ya know, and on the last version, they fixed the mix on tracks 1-3. But yeah, Rock of Faith is an interesting release ... powerful singing - www.padraicmusic.com |

In this Rock Of Faith you can find some Asia influences over the whole release, but this is a less technical style of music. However, this is a complete rock release, if we compare it to Arkangel, where you can find some weak pop songs. I suggest it to all Asia fans and to those music listeners who appreciate a little bit different AOR. |
