not my favorite glam band of this era but a good addition to a american hair band collection; 'I DON'T WANNA CRY NO MORE' is (in my opinion) the hit single of the album.A catchy, positive, pop 'n' roll anthem in the vein of PRETTY BOY FLOYD; a 'pre' or 'anti' grunge tune for sure!I guess this cd is not easy to find nowadays; I found it some years ago in a backstreet little recordshop in PARIS(France),good souvenir...

From: hardrockhaven Date: August 18, 2001 at 20:46
The guy above pretty much said it all. Not the best glam release in the world, but definitely a worthy addition to the collection. Good, fun, pop hair metal here. 'Forever' is another cool song from the album.

Hair is GREAT!Glam! alex1103@mail.ru

From: angi Date: August 31, 2001 at 4:02
a great cd to party to - and a good reason for still back combing the hair - pleasure and pain says it all

From: P.C. Date: September 21, 2001 at 14:34
I saw 'I Don't Wanna Cry No More' on MTV in 1991. Nightmare of grunge music was more stronger than glam rock . I think this was the last Glam rock video .

From: crusher Date: November 28, 2001 at 1:10
great cd!! one of my favorite songs all time : i don't wanna cry no more!

From: M.K. Date: December 10, 2001 at 13:22
Thanks for the nice comments. I was the guitarist in Wild Boyz. I had a lot of fun. It's a kick to see some people have discovered a little bit of us all these years later.

From: tomcat Date: January 20, 2002 at 17:02
also one of my favorite discs..., hey M.K.; what are you up to now? tomcat@dolfijn.nl

Check them out in the metal-sludge review-- goddamned hilarious, and we were all there at one time!

From: HG Date: March 2, 2002 at 22:52
Killer CD! The singer really stands out. Listen to the singing at the end of Forever. Amazing!

From: Motley Date: May 27, 2002 at 17:33
did you know that during the HEADBANGERS BALL Broadcast on Donington Monsters of Rock, tehy used a WILD BOYZ song when the program came back after commercials? I never found out until I bought the cd. Not the best but somehow cool...

From: M.K. Date: May 28, 2002 at 11:34
Motley, Which song did they use? When was the program on MTV? I thought we were dead and buried... Karpmatt@yahoo.com

Very good album, I don't mean to sound like an outcast but I think I Don't Wanna Cry No More is the weakest sound on the album

From: David Date: June 7, 2002 at 9:46
Oops, I forgot to mention what an awesome vocalist Willie D is! very under-rated, just one of them muso's you wonder where they are these days.

From: David Date: June 10, 2002 at 5:55
Sound like POISON, great music!

From: David Date: June 21, 2002 at 21:53
.....with a little bit of Warrant mixed in

From: David Date: August 4, 2002 at 0:41
Have these guys ever released anything else?

From: Imalilpixie Date: August 8, 2002 at 17:12
Ok, I can rave... seen these guys live in 1990 in Ohio. I think they are great and I have been trying to find this album for quite sometime As I have seen posted, it looks as if a former member still checkin on the hype of it all... get your butts back out there and jam!!!!!!!!

From: lady Date: August 17, 2002 at 23:20
Valentino teaches guiter in Buffalo, NY. He also plays in a band called Superpimp. They have a webpage. Val's a really great guy, actually.

From: David Date: August 20, 2002 at 1:29
I can't see how you could like Poison and not like these guys.

From: FAB' Date: August 21, 2002 at 18:43
Man! look at all these comments! How an obscure band like this can motivate so much reactions is very funny.Like all the artists(that want to be famous)say:'Don't mind if they love you or hate you, the important is that they talk about you'.They were not the best back in the days, but what is sure is that CD is NOW a cult classic collector item: Thanks to the internet!!

From: nitrodoll1974 Date: August 22, 2002 at 3:33
hey fab, comment ça va? you dig this cd? yeah me too, it's kinda cool when you're driving way too fast on the highway..it's definatly not the best album within the genre but it has great songs like 'on my way', 'she don't care'..those kind of songs aren't written anymore anno 2002...rock n roll over dudez, nitrodoll1974@hotmail.com

From: David Date: August 22, 2002 at 4:06
Nitrodoll, what about Roll The Dice and the excellent ballad Cowboy Ride?

From: vixen Date: September 10, 2002 at 12:56
like they said once themselves they tried to hard. In my opinion thats the reason they didnt make it and of course a pretty bad timing with the coming of grunge and all. If they had a little more originality too this band would have been one of the best glam bands the world have ever seen. I totally luv this album. I dont own it (yet) dont think i'll ever will since it so damn hard to find. I'll defenitely sell my soul for it. If u wanna get rid of yours let me know (a_bernadina@hotmail.com)

From: Erik Date: October 12, 2002 at 15:55
Forever is a surprisingly good ballad.

From: rene engelaan Date: October 13, 2002 at 6:36
I think this is a cool Glam album, its sound to me a lot like Poison. Also the singer look like Bret. I bought this album after looking at the video clip back at the beginning of the 90s on MTV. Cool band with actitud.

From: Lou Date: November 1, 2002 at 17:52
Wow. It's amazing to see how many people still enjoy an album like this. I'm actually only 17. I've been trying to find this album but can't. I really hope they sound like Poison. They look totally awesome. I don't know why anyone would be ashamed at having this CD. I actually found out about them by mistake while looking for Trixter and Britny Fox merchandise(wich were also found by mistake) Wild Boyz have got to be the coolest!

From: Jay Date: November 2, 2002 at 9:11
A friend gave me a tape with 'Don't wanna cry no more' I thought it was good very Poisonish...therefore I bought the CD and well it is by far not one of the best Glam releases ever. Its a bit average but I guess that if they could have come out with another CD with better production and songs then they would have been really good. If you like Poison you will like this

From: Louis Date: November 4, 2002 at 17:23
Thanks for the info. If it sounds like Poison it must be good. Thanx again Jay!

From: metalgtr Date: November 6, 2002 at 12:40
I bought their tape back when it was first released. I used to go to school with Willie D, the lead singer so I knew him from childhood. He sang in a local band from Decatur AL where we hailed from. I thought the music was good for what it was--glam rock, but at least all the songs were melodic....

From: Lou Date: November 12, 2002 at 17:20
I might be getting Wild Boyz Unleashed soon. YES!!! Its gonna be great!

From: Bob Date: December 3, 2002 at 8:19
I used to watch these guys in Hollywood when they were still Dorian Grey. Went to a couple of there after parties. I bought there cd when it first came out, would love to see them cut another album

From: HG Date: January 6, 2003 at 3:24
I read the Metal Sludge interview, and the guitarist made some pretty good points. To say that the songwriting was not very original is an understatement. Still, these guys could play, and the final product was pretty good. The interview caused me to get this one out and give it a spin.

From: Tigerwithn Date: February 12, 2003 at 0:25
I liked the album, it did have alot of 80's style to it, but it was good, still have the tape- Unleashed, I also have a Demo tape of these guys as Dorian Grey. my cousin's ex-husband was one of the guys in the bands brother,so my cousin got me the demo tape and you can tell the differences in the way the songs were changed. too bad they didnt make any more albums. anyone interested in the demo tape of Dorian grey email me- tigerwithn@hotmail.com

From: jayglam@hotmail Date: March 3, 2003 at 13:43
Very solid melodic rock release. Kind of different thanks to Willie D the singer, he has a very different and original voice which suits the music. Listen to the high notes he hits in the ballad 'Forever' very very good album but not brilliant. I would give it a 7.5 out of ten. worth getting. They looked cool too, not like the bands these days. Jay from Australia

From: HairMetalManiac Date: April 11, 2003 at 1:21
If your goal is to build the most extensive 80's/early 90's hard rock/metal CD collection, then I'd suggest this be in the bottom half of your list for CD's to buy. It really isn't terrible, it just seems a little all over the place. It does have some good moments, just not enough. 'Roll the Dice' was the only song I cranked the volume for and IMO the best song on the disc. 'I Don't Wanna Cry No More' has that commercial bubble gum metal sound ala Poison. Track 7 & 8 are good as well...Rock On!!

From: edcrane Date: April 14, 2003 at 23:14
Bought this one just a few weeks ago at ebay Germany (for a reasonable price) because of this site and the metal sludge interview and have to admit that I am surprised about the quality of this album. It still sounds fresh even after twelve years. Good Songs, good production, good singer. Not as good as Poison, Warrant or Paradise ('Do or die' is the best glam/hair metal album ever), but a real good album and better and fresher than a lot of the hyped ones on this side.

From: Prey4me Date: May 11, 2003 at 16:00
OK-I'm don't understand the point of posting on a band just to rip on 'em but i just don't get where all you people say they say sound like Poison. To me this just sounded really watered down. Way more poppy than Poison, Tuff, or even PBF. I too was lured by the image but felt really let down on hearing it. Sorry

From: debbie b Date: May 30, 2003 at 14:27
I think that the band was great! And they were all sweethearts... I love the 80's

From: A&R Asst. - MCA Date: June 7, 2003 at 5:16
Truth be known, everyone can form their own opinions about what they think defines a band, what sets the standards for a certain genre of music; it's called diversity. However, if people take time to look beyond the labels of trendy clothing, soundalikes & pseudo-big city know-how...you will find the Wild Boyz were an honest & straight forward band with a sound all their own. For those who have seen them live, well then you know they were a much heavier band than what was recorded on to their CD

From: A&R Asst. - MCA Date: June 7, 2003 at 5:20
Their efforts to make their own mark in the music industry should be commended as most people never take the chance to Roll the Dice!

From: K. Lee Lauren Date: June 9, 2003 at 19:59
It's so elating to see this sort of activity about something that was seemingly dead and buried! I appreciate all the comments, both good and bad. Perspective is important from all angles, so feel free to express your opinions... The only thing I ask is before passing judgement, base your point of view from the position of the informed not the un-informed. Dear A&R Asst. what you said was right on the money, to have known us is to have seen us live! The CD did not represent us... The budget was

From: K. Lee Lauren Date: June 9, 2003 at 20:23
...paltry, the production was adequate at best, the image was...well??? As for the music, I'll leave that judgement to the opinion of the listener, the tunes were 3 to 6 years old at the time of production. It is what it is!!! And although more than a decade later, 'Matt' seems a bit resentful and embarrassed, 'WE' were proud of 'Unleashed' and worked hard to try and make 'IT' happen!!! Thanks again for the interest in 'Wild Boyz'. K. Lee Lauren, Founder/ Songwriter and Drummer.

From: Melanie Date: June 13, 2003 at 17:03
I find the songs ok. For many years I´ve seen an video-clip from this group on MTV. I´ve searched so long to find anything from this group. Today I became with the post a cd copy from USA. It´s sad that the band don´t exist anymore!!!

I wasn't able to get 'I don't wanna cry no more' out of my head, so I had to buy this damn expensive album. But it's worth it!!! Hi Jay, still working at my favourite record store in Brisbane?

From: Louis Date: November 26, 2003 at 15:57
This album was great....is...great. The Wild Boyz, look and sound are just awesome. They compare with all the greats AC/DC, KISS, Poison, Trixter, Britny Fox.....man are these guys cool or what?

From: Bizkit82 Date: January 7, 2004 at 23:36
What's the deal in here? If it's not a sparkling revue, it gets deleted?? That makes no sense. Is this communist China?? Here is my review and opinion of this record : It was a joke. It still is a joke to this day, and this band was lame at best. Y=That was my review and my opinion for all to read. Can we moderate less?

From: CC Date: January 8, 2004 at 11:32
Used to have this CD,but it never really did anything for me with the exception of the song Pleazure & Pain, now that song was fucking great, the rest I found a bit weak........I traded it in not because it was a crap album, but purely cause it was one that I never played!

From: Date: January 8, 2004 at 12:34
Yeah, what's the deal with the moderation, isn't this a public forum? Anyway these guys rocked live, I saw 'em live in '92, the c.d. is only decent though. I also saw K. lee on television in Salt Lake City last year, some fitness show. Good going K. lee. I hope all the guy's are doing well. Oh, all you negative people suck! Ben K. Ogden, Utah

From: Dan Date: January 8, 2004 at 14:21
Has nothing to do with whether a review is positive or negative. When the petty personal sniping gets involved to the extent it was for this CD, it detracts from the discussion of the music/band involved. Keep the personal shit out of it. If you don't like that, feel free to leave. This site is supposed to be about the music, not petty personal spats.

From: Lou Date: January 8, 2004 at 17:37
Hey Dan, HeavyHarmonies Owner....just curious...what is your opinion on this album by WildBoyz? It's pretty good wouldn't you say? I know I love it. By the way Dan....have you ever heard of the hair metal band 'Hung Jury?' They look a lot like Wild Boyz but that's all I know....I've never got to hear them. Ok..just wanted to know what your review on this amazing album by the wild boyz is. Was K. Lee Lauren from Wild Boyz here again..it'd be cool to meet him or atleast talk.

From: Date: January 8, 2004 at 20:32
Hey Lou...im not Dan, but i have a 4 song demo by HUNG JURY...very good sunset strip glam band....but, WILDBOYZ were a better band. i also have a unreleased WILDBOYZ song called 'Gun For Hire'...anyone else heard this??....it might have been recorded when they were known as Dorian Gray.....anyway, it rocks...always liked the WILDBOYZ 'Unleashed' cd....very good melodic glam IMO!!!! I came across this board by accident, but it's kind of interesting. I engineered the album, and basically produced it too with the band. The 'producer' was a wacko, psycho nut and getting past him was a difficult task, but despite him, I think it's an ok record. But we won't go into that. I still listen to parts of it at times! I have a copy of it at my studio, and when clients are bored, they look through my collection of cds I've recorded and they kind of laugh at the cover! It was the end of

I got screwed in other ways too, but it was such a long time ago. Clients of mine have commented that they weren't thrilled with Willie's voice

Lee Lauren...is it at all possible that some sort of Wild Boyz 'DEMOS' cd would ever be released? I hear there's an unreleased song 'Gun for Hire' There's got to be more...maybe stuff from Dorien Gray..but if a demo cd ever comes out, put it under the name WILD BOYZ not Dorien Gray. I went to high school with Matt and Kurt. They are both really good people at heart. Everyone wants to be a Rock Star. I give them lots of credit for making the attempt at fame and fortune. Incidentally, I still have both the CD and the Demo Tape. And to Matt, thanks for letting me crash on your couch for 7 months... ehrlich@winternet.com

I love thge Wildboyz CD - always have always will. I met them in Philadelphia and Hung out for a while. They were great. I still have the posters and shirts from them. I listen to the CD in my car almost everyday - yeah still - i dont care what other idiots might say about glam - but I love the cd. Talk about glam, what about the new york dolls - people still like them - uuch

From: john Date: June 13, 2004 at 0:23
SINGLE WORST GLAM ROCK CD EVER! WORST BAND EVER! WORST REPUTATION IN THE L.A. MUSIC COMMUNITY IN THE EARLY NINETIES EVER! These guys were a severe joke. Everyone knew it. NO ONE took them serious, NO ONE. Most of their fans were 'large girls' in their late twenties who still lived at home with their parents. Does this album still blow? ABSOLUTELY!

From: Chris Date: June 14, 2004 at 12:52
Got this CD for my birthday today! When you love sleaze & glam it's definitely worth listening to. Take it 4 what it is!! The lyrics are really cheesy, but that's make it more fun. U can't listen to this record without smiling If U want 'serious' music, stay away.. Chris//www.malice-in-wonderland.com

From: Scratcher Date: June 21, 2004 at 11:50
John, Are you sure you are talking about Wild Boyz/Dorian Gray? I was there too and DG had lines of folks outside of every show waiting to see them, alot of HOT CHICKS too, they were the best live band bar-none! I saw them in every mag, heard them on the radio, so someone took them seriously! There demos kicked sonic-ass, so they could play! I was in a band at that time and we were friends, no malice there! Ya' gotta' fight on E-Bay for the CD, so you must on crack! or up your own crack! S. Out

From: Lou Date: June 22, 2004 at 15:01
Scratcher is most certainly right! I don't think of this band as a joke at all. You really do have to fight for this CD on ebay.....I should know! And even when you do get it..you won't get it uner $25. That must mean there are SOME fans out there that most definately take this seriously!

From: kerrang Date: June 22, 2004 at 23:50
They're pricey and hard to find on eBay because THEY ONLY PRESSED ABOUT 2 COPIES. Seriously though, people used to call these guys 'POISON-Lite.' That is a pretty harsh cut right there. Polaris records was somebody's dad's credit card. They were barely distributed anywhere. Dorian Gray, Wildboyz, whatever, it was pure crap. Putting the Z on the end was not a career move. All the fans in the U.S. for this band have posted their comments in this forum. 20 people? Please folks, this was a 1990's em

From: kerrang Date: June 22, 2004 at 23:51
Please folks, this was a 1990's embarrassment.

From: Scratcher Date: June 23, 2004 at 16:09
Someones pissed by the 'Boyz' post-popularity! I did some checking and SoundScan has 'Unleashed' at 66,000 U.S. copies, my friend formerly at Alpha/Japan says about 30,000 Nippon units! Billboard said #88 on 'Hot 100' the week of release, again I waited in lines to see 'em, never did for Tuff, Warrant, PBF, Bang Tango, FP or anybody else! Kerrang what band were you in and why so jealous? I played in 4 different 'Strip' bands and always wanted to be in a band like DG, you're spreading false shit!

From: Trick Taylor Date: June 24, 2004 at 13:35
I have never heard this album, but have known of its existence for years. Everything I hear about it is negative, but I would pick it up if I saw it cheap. That being said, I have a hard time believing Scratchers numbers that say 66,000 units moved and #88 on Billboard. In 1991 I was buying anything remotely promoted and hair-related, and never even saw a copy in a store. They may have been cool, but not that cool.

From: Trick Taylor Date: June 24, 2004 at 13:38
K. Lee, if you are still snooping around here can you clarify those numbers?

From: Jennlee Date: June 24, 2004 at 20:12
I have been in touch with K. Lee and he knows that before they left the label 90,000 units had been pressed Stateside. More than 40,000 in Europe and 50,000 in Japan..Total sales..I have no clue! As for touring, they sold out 950f their shows and Nationally. They had over 400 AOR and CHR stations moving the disc, some MTV, and National Mag exposure...They had an international fan-club and they still get played thoughout America to this day..

From: Jennlee Date: June 24, 2004 at 20:15
I myself have their CD..I still play it on a regular basis!! I have seen them play several times..and every show that I went to was packed with people!!! They are all very talented guys!! To me..and several people I know...it is a shame that was the only CD that they ever put out!! I would still like to hear more from these guys!! But..I guess that won't happen..So, do yourself a favor..buy the CD if you can..I know that it is on EBay.

From: Jennlee Date: June 24, 2004 at 20:19
I realize that everyone is entitled to their oppinion..But, I think we are all adults here..at least most of us..and there is NO need to be slinging rude comments around...I also realize that some of you who come here have nothing better to do than make comments about something you have NO idea about in the first place...But, if it makes you feel better...Knock yourself out!! We will just read your posts and get a good chuckle!! I think I will go and put on Wild Boyz right now..I'M ON MY WAY!!

From: Blue Tequila Date: June 25, 2004 at 3:02
This is the problem with the internet. Anyone can drop a line saying 'I have been in touch with the producers assistants brothers friends uncle and he said the band only moved 8000 units stateside and another 6500 units overseas yada yada yada...' Where is the proof? I never heard of these guys back in the day and I was soaking up every band like this I could back in '91. I'm not saying I don't believe the numbers, I'm just saying I don't believe the numbers without proof...

From: Jennlee Date: June 25, 2004 at 10:38
Well, you can believe what you want to believe. But, it is the truth. I got it straight from the source. You can find it on EBay, now! But, back in the day, you were able to find them easily in any Music Store. For, that is where I found mine. As well as several friends of mine. If you like/liked this kind of music, then you should pick up a copy of EBay..for I think you might find that you will like it! These guys did exist..and had a huge fan base...Still do! FOREVER!!

From: Rick Date: June 25, 2004 at 13:48
I found this cd in a New York City cd shop. I had never seen it in any shop where I live. Let's not blow this out of proportion. This band is not played today in America, exept in few car stereos. The promotion was minimal at best. I, too, bought every hair band I could possibly find. If hadn't been in New York, I would have never known that they existed. And to be honest, the quality of the songs on the cd reflect why their promotion was limited. 4/10 at best.

From: Scratcher Date: June 25, 2004 at 15:26
I have never seen such blatant ignorance,do the research before mouthing off! Out of 8,600 entries on google, over 1,000 specifically are for this band, Amazon.com carries the product, if you were into glam at all and you didn't see Wild Boyz on Mtv, in Hit Parader, Metal Edge, Metal, Circus or hear 'em on Z-Rock, or KNAC or their National Affiliates, see 'Unleashed' in Music Plus, Coconuts, Tower, Sam Goody's then you must of been stoned or asleep between '91 and 93'.

From: Scratcher Date: June 25, 2004 at 15:40
I never, ever said they were the best band, but 'pull-it-out' and get over it and back up the rhetoric! I was just in Moberly Missouri and heard 'Cowboy Ride' on a station there #3 in the top 10 requests! It's a negative fool that tries to rewrite history and a bigger fool that does it anonymously, come-clean and put up or shut up! Because I knew the 'Boyz', I thought I owed it to them to do the research, now do the same and 'PROVE' me wrong! Not your insignifigant opinion, but the truth!

From: Trick Taylor Date: June 25, 2004 at 16:10
(sorry Dan) Scratcher- I merely questioned the numbers. They might have been everywhere where you were, but not in my neck-o-the-woods. Ded Engine and Hawk had ads all over the place in 1988, didn't mean they hit #88 on Billboard. And unless Scratcher is your real name then you too are 'anonymous' you idiot. I have no agenda against Wild Boyz. I plan on hunting this down and listening for myself. I hear they were huge in Malaysia!

From: T-Bone Date: June 25, 2004 at 16:37

From: Matt Date: June 25, 2004 at 16:40

From: Matt Date: June 25, 2004 at 16:46
never on MTV, except 4 commercials. but again thanks for the nice words even if you may have inflated them a bit. metal sludge and I had some fun. did u read it? where are other guys from scratch? wow, #88 on billboard? if only. trust me, sally would have had that plastered on her forehead...right willie?

From: Date: June 25, 2004 at 21:25
Matt, you're a bitter 'Boy', I saw the video on MTV, it was in July of '92, I was in Atlanta and I saw it twice while there! Metal-Sludge has a tally of 9,000 units post Soundscan, what about the year before it's inception? You nor They obviously know not the facts! Call Radio & Records about airplay, I think you'd be amused at your own under-ASSessment! Your lack of Maturity, Tact and Respect on 'SLUDGE' show how little your personal contribution to the 'Boyz' amounted to!

From: Scratcher Date: June 25, 2004 at 21:45
Final comment: How could a band with an amazing vocalist, memorable hooks, cool guitar licks (talk-box, slide, crunchy riffs), solid rhythm section,& a live act that kicked-ass create such controversy almost 15 years later if they were merely what Matt claimed they were? They couldn't! Matt, you guys rocked,it's alright to develop self respect as you age, don't be ashamed of your past, be ashamed of your current actions and words if they diminish the 'works' and efforts of yourself or others!

From: Louis Date: June 28, 2004 at 18:51
I too know Wild Boyz have been on MTV. Beleive it of not, I downloaded the video from WIN-MX. It had one of those MTV logos from one of their request dial-in shows.I'll admit, I'm young...only 18. I was 6 when they came out...I recently found out about them in 2001. Beleive me, if someone as young as I am, can embrace this band with open arms then it is worth a listen by all.I've already gotten my younger brother into them. Let's face it...there's another generation of Wild Boyz fans on the rise

From: Jenn Date: June 29, 2004 at 11:14
Matt..Why don't you accept the fact that people actually did love you guys!!And, YES Wild Boyz was played on MTV. I remember very clearly being at a club in Saugus MA called the Rockpile. They always had TV's playing MTV. I was standing with Liz and we saw the video for you guys come on!! I don't understand why you seem to want to diminish anything that you guys did. Why do you feel the need to talk down about the rest of the guys?

From: Jenn Date: June 29, 2004 at 11:18
Matt...I must admit, my opinion of you has changed. When we met you guys..we thought you were all so cool, down to earth...fun people!! It is a time in our life that we shall always remember fondly!! I was hoping to actually get back in touch with all of you for that reason alone. But, it doesn't seem like you have anything nice to say..I guess I just don't understand. I shall always remain a Wild Boyz fan...regardless!! FOREVER!!

OK, I listened. This is essentially a record full of cover versions, only with different lyrics! 'Take Me' is Great White's 'Rock Me' and 'Cowboy Ride' is 'Wanted Dead or Alive'. The singer ruins the first track, but becomes servicable as the disc rolls along. Contains probably the worst gang vocals ever! This has some interesting moments, snippets here and there when put together could have made 4 good songs. A real producer and singer would have made all the difference. Thanks T-Bone.

Are you kidding? The gang vocals on THIS cd by Wild Boyz are outstanding......I feel they are the best EVER. On 'High Tonite' gang vocals couldn't be better. Ths is a great album if Wild Boyz fans can get a hold of it. Great White and Bon Jovi are the one's who are covering 'Wild Boyz'......no no...don't say Great white and Bon Jovi wrote their songs first. i don't care.....wild boyz reign as the best of the best. In my book and should in everyoe's book. You can't touch them. SERIOUSLY!

From: Lou Date: July 30, 2004 at 15:44
You mean putting out their album 'Unleashed' was the smartest career move, Fizz. Making a video for 'I Don't Wanna Cry No More' for MTV was the second............looks like the metal sludge interviews was third....however, I like the fact that K.Lee Lauren owns a fitness center....nevermind......I put that in front of Metal Sludge! ^_^

For me this band has an easy comparison to make, and that is with Blonz. Both released pretty cool commercial hard rock CDs with a few gems on it, but both had a lot of fillers too. I, like most, love 'I don't wanna cry no more' and also the wonderful ballad 'Forever'. Though those notes at the end are ridiculous if I'm being honest, the song is actually quite a tune. A lot of fillers, but overall it's a good hard rock CD. Can't believe how many comments for this one!!!

For Wotty. Please don't end up like AOR Freaky. If you don't like this CD, fine but don't start ragging on it and listing other CD's you think are better when other people leave a comment that they do like it. Let's just accept there is stuff you like that other people don't and vice versa. We're all here for the music, let's not get into slagging others off for having different tastes.

Great album, some songs have a really unique edge to their sound. Other songs sound typical of the time, but regardless this is a killer glam record. If you enjoy glam, you'll enjoy this, simple as that - ignore the negative comments or the Metal Sludge review, this is good stuff. 8/10

This one reminds me of the chewing gum you used to get with trading cards way back when. It looked like chewing gum, it smelt like chewing gum.... and hey, it even tasted like chewing gum. Unfortunately, 5 minutes later you'r spitting it out as you've had enough. This one was way too bland for me and struck me a some sort of manufactured 'hair band'.

From: speed demon Date: March 28, 2006 at 22:28
If your looking for some really good rock n roll this is it! Some really decent tracks. As good as anything out there during this time period. Rather we all agree on it or not, it sure does seem to command a hefty sum on ebay! A really good commerical rock album. If your collection is like mine (80's/early 90's) then this one is a must own in my opinion.

From: roxas Date: March 30, 2006 at 17:41

From: vince_crue Date: April 26, 2008 at 15:32
Nothing wrong with this cd, it is lightweight bubblegum glam but thats a good thing, plus " i dont wanna cry no more" is a classic song.

From: Dante Date: September 30, 2008 at 19:54
I don't like badmouthing cd's or bands for that matter but, on this one time, I feel obliged to. This isn't glam, don't pay 30 dollars for this thinking it is. This is low rate AOR. It isn't good in any light you put it. I know a lot of people love it and I can understand that, it's a matter of taste. But this is NOT glam. Nor good. Peace

Well,I dont agree with you Dante.this IS glam.not the best glam ever but its a good glam.this cd has nothing to do with AOR.If you are a hair metal collector than you should buy this album.if you are not collector you should still get it if you can find it cheap somewhere.solid record.some pretty good songs.7/10

lol calling this AOR then i wonder what you call acts like Stan Meissner, Parber & Kerstein or Kyle Vincent. Anyways this is glam leaning towards melodic rock. And yep i like it. The sinsational I dont wanna cry no More, I am no my way i a great mid pased song, a perfect ballad with Forever, Take me starts off as a ballad and become a cool rocker, Roll the dice i dont like so much, She dont Care is another of those good typical songs from WB slow and uptempo united in the song, High tonight is a great rock song and another fav of mine, In your face is high tempo and they should have ended the cd a way better then they did with Cowboy ride. A forgettable song. 80/100

nothing great here, an awarage glam metal release.sound like Poison on their second record. these guys weren't very talented if you compare them to other glam metal bands from this era. even though this album is a party album and has some great tunes too, like: Forever, High Tonite and In Your Face

Another band from thousands that emerged from the hair metal/glam scene in the state but probably at the wrong time (1991..mmmm..the beginning of the end for bands like this).Bands such as Poison,Warrant,Trixter,Tuff came 2 mind while listening this lot..."I Don't Wanna Cry No More"(with that happy chorus made me wonder that somehow the band tried hard 2 get people's attention),"Roll The Dice","High Tonite","In Your Face" and the "Every Rose has Its Thorn"(Poison)and "Blaze Of Glory"(Bon Jovi)wanna be final song "Cowboy Ride" are good songs but that's about all.Enjoyable but that's it..nothing more.80/100

Wow what a bizarre read back over all the comments on this one! Loved it and it was cool to see posts from past members. I picked up this cd a few months ago not realising it was a rare item. It seems to me that the cover could be for a steel panther album, but, it is the music that counts. I quite like it. They are good, unpretentious songs played with skill. You can tell they would have been tight live. This glam metal gem will remain in my collection. Pleazure N Pain is the best track.

Lots of people like to sing the praises of this disc nowadays, and I'm convinced 99% of them never heard it in 1991. It was forgotten, and deservedly so, and would've remained forgotten if Metal Sludge hadn't dug it out for a Retro Review in 2001, and then done an interview with Matt "Steavanz" Karp, wherein he defended the band, trying to say they were no worse than a lot of come-lately hairbands But they were worse. The cover might look like a Stteeel Panther album, because that's basically what the Wild Boyz were, except they didn't know they were a walking parody. Competent musicians, but big deal. The songs are laughably dumb, and so uterly forgettable and formulaic that they aren't eve n good in a cheesy way. It's a miracle they were ever signed even to a small label. And don't get me wrong, I love hair-metal. But anybody that actually digs this disc is either related to the band, or likes it because it's obscure and they think that makces it (and them) automatially cool, or is j

Well, I've had the TAPE of this since 91-92 and have the mp3s of it now. I may not think this great, but there are a few good songs on here. Oh,and for the record I am a cool fucking dude and it's not because I like some of these songs!

Wow Doghouse Reilly...really? Really?? So if YOU don't like and album that means that ANYONE that likes it a poser? Whatever. This is a good album and I liked the mp3's so much that I made the effort and spent the money to track down an original copy of it. And it still gets plenty of spins. "Roll The Dice", "Pleazure N Pain", "Cry No More" are all great tracks. Sure there are a couple clunkers but overall it's a nice slab of melodic hard rock.

Good on ya, Evil Rick. Personally, I think cutout bins were invented in anticipation of this CD. Bands like the Wild Boyz were a dime a dozen in 1991.

very good hair metal release for WILD BOYZ that i had the pleasure of buying back in the day and i must say that "forever" always found its place to my cassette ballad compilations !their music is similar to WARRANT ,SOUTHGANG or TUFF s but not as good !maybe with another voice and a better production things would go better for them

I just re-purchased this CD all these years later due to the Demon Doll reissue. I do not regret trading in my original copy all those years ago as I found it for a couple of quid at a boot fair (totally random place to find something like this in England). The reason I bought it again is because Pleazure and pain is such a fucking killer tune. I don't wanna cry no more is also a cool tune as well. Listening to it all again all these years later, its actually better than I credited it all those years ago. Still not an amazing one, but certainly one worthy of sitting in my collection.
