From: Junior Date: February 21, 2001 at 17:02
Yess Rene you are right, Kelly Keeling is a great singer... We think that we both appreciate great Bands.. See ya

From: Chris Date: October 11, 2001 at 19:09
Great band! An often overlooked gem! Check out The Price of Love!

From: Mark Date: November 8, 2001 at 20:39
I'm with Chris. Both of BRs first 2 albums rock, Kelly has an AWESOME voice! This CD is worth buying just for The Price of Love-what a great tune with a HUGE chorus!

From: Reno Date: May 3, 2002 at 0:29
They covered the song Desperate from Babylon A.D. Both bands were produced by the same guy. I liked Babylon A.D.'s version a little better. Tracks 8 and 9 were my favorites.

From: Desslar Date: May 5, 2002 at 2:17
Umm, kind of dull really. Imagine Babylon AD only slower and with less energy.

From: RichieRocker Date: June 29, 2002 at 13:06
I think they have talent and a lot of drive, but This album just didnt do it for me, who knows I might llisten to it one more time to see if I really like it.

From: koogles Date: July 8, 2002 at 19:25
Well-focused, straight-ahead, driving hard rock that doesn't get caught up in a lot of gay nonsense. Comparable to a No Sweat or a Winger. 'The Price of Love', 'Slave to the Rhythm' and 'Tokyo Time' are 3 of the best songs to emerge from the twilight of the hair metal era.

From: Gar Date: August 25, 2002 at 20:26
Very similar to their debut. Some good songs like 'Price of Love' and 'Dreamin' in B&W', but Kelly Keelings vocals sound like 100 other bands of the time. If they tried to be a little bit different, they would have been a much better band.

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: November 12, 2002 at 4:09
Del mismo palo que el anterior, las misma estructura en sus temas, aunque para mi no supera al primer disco, aun asi disco ACEPTABLE.

From: M. Allen Date: January 4, 2003 at 20:02
This is the weakest of the band's 3 album, but it's still a very good melodic hard rock release, capable of making your eyes light up and your speakers throb with its big guitars, hot hooks, over-the-top choruses, & loud backing vocals. These guys outplay 900f their contemporaries, yet never received their just acclaim. A classic, must-own melodic hard rock CD that deserves to be played again and again.

From: Grudaada Date: June 7, 2003 at 3:43
Is this album worse than their last release, M. Allen?! You need to live in a tokyo time... maybe we don't disegree...

From: Steven Ertelt Date: December 15, 2003 at 22:38
This album isn't nearly as good as the band's debut. The cover of Desperate pales in comparison to Derek's soul that Babylon A.D. put on display when they did the song first. That said, there are some good songs on here. As others have mentioned, Tokyo Time and Dreamin' in Black and White are the best cuts. 7/10 from me.

From: jessica96fish Date: April 13, 2004 at 16:45
an over looked gem i think.some say not as good as their first.but i disagree with that.very cool indeed.if you like the first BUY!!!!!!!

From: Big Papa K Date: June 12, 2004 at 23:11
Totally agree with Desslar about the Babylon A.D. without the energy comparison. The opening track is very nice, but the rest is forgettable hard rock. 2/10

From: Kip Date: August 31, 2004 at 1:52
How could Baton Rouge follow up perfection? With near Perfection! Again the trademark Baton Rouge hooks, melodies and group sung choruses are here. There is almost no filler anywhere on either of their first two albums. All the songs here are outstanding, including a song in my top 10 tunes of all time 'The Price Of Love' The only filler here are tracks 10, 11 and 13, and none of them are even bad. 9.5/10!

I'm ust 31, 2004 at 10:12|211.30.117.247~c211-30-117-247.carlnfd2.nsw.optusnet.com.au|Geoff|Sorry Kip, really going to have to disagree with you here. Though I do admit I got this CD about 5 years agao and probably felt the same - loved most of it, but in time this is where Jack Ponti's sound got the better of me. Now all the songs sound same-ish, Jack's choruses just sound dreary, lifeless and so f*cking glued to a boring formula. I apologise as I don't hate it, I just think this album is so uninspired, though I do like tracks 4, 8 and 9.

From: Kip Date: August 31, 2004 at 16:12
It's cool man. If a formula works for me, I want more of the same. I wish their third release stuck to this formula. Once they abondoned it and tried to do a whole album without backup vocals and overdubbed choruses, they fell kinda flat. Bands that tried this formula never sounded as good or wrote as consistant tunes as these guys did in my opinion. Think Dreamhunter or Scarecrow and see what I mean. I just think the backup vox with this band is excellent and brings out the life in the music.

Baton Rouge have a great sound, well worth getting. Desperate is sound mate.

From: Milanese Date: April 5, 2005 at 19:35
What a great stuff I've got here! I've known Desperate on Babylon A.D. version and I think B.R.'s version sounds greater by far. Worth trying this one.

From: Metalmusicman Date: January 1, 2007 at 14:18
Again, another hit and miss album, but as usual what works, works to the highest levels. 'Desperate', 'Vampire's Kiss', and 'Price Of Love' are just stellar and should have been MTV and radio staples, but got overlooked. Not a great album, but it does have a few real gems.

From: Metalmusicman Date: January 1, 2007 at 14:21
P.S. In the above picture...If you dyed Kelly's hair blonde, wouldn't he be Jamie St. James?

From: Melodiker Date: March 26, 2007 at 23:57
Second Album, and again a Must Have for all Melodic Rockers out there. Only Track 10 is in my ears weak. The rest of the material is classic stuff.Outstanding Tracks are Desperate,Price of love and Slave to the Rhythm.Hotter than hell blows me away, what a voice ! Wow ! 9\10

From: bozoglam Date: July 30, 2007 at 14:57
Nice album, but i think the 1st is better. I agree with reno, desperate is little better with babylon A.D.

From: 123charpenay Date: December 22, 2010 at 3:31
super class hard u s album.this record is a must.no fillers only hits.all choruses are irresistables.they stay in your head like a delicious poison.

From: rockhardrock Date: December 26, 2010 at 18:49
i would say that this record is a litlle bit better than their debut.here we have another very good produced and arranged melodic hard rock album. my faves:slave to the rhythm, full time body, the price of love and dreamin in black n white. kelly's voice just could't be better to fit in this band.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: January 4, 2011 at 19:06
Probably this was Baton Rouge's best album...great tracks...my fave ones are "Slave To The Rhythm","Full Time Body","Desperate"(killer ballad),"Vampire Kiss","The Price Of Love" & "Tear Down The Walls"...recommendable..Kelly Keeling...fantastic!...92/100

From: the rocker Date: January 5, 2012 at 22:04
GREAT follow up to another awesome debut! With songs like Slave To The Rhythm, Tie you up, The Price Of Love, Light At The End Of The Tunnel, Dreamin' In Black& White, & the awesome ballad Desperate(which I like more than Babylon A.D.'s version), how can you go wrong? You can't! I recommend.

From: 123charpenay Date: November 6, 2015 at 11:32
the irresistible choruses are always here.what pleasure!!!exceptional follow up to their sensational debut album.this record is a little more mature and better produced than their first effort.only hits ,only killer songs which stay in your brain for a very long time.for sure you will sing these songs under your shower.top class hard u s perfect for concert in stadium.unfortunately no bonus tracks on the very very rare japan import.i ve this jewel in my collection.

From: Doug Date: September 25, 2018 at 13:27
Admittedly, a band that I had little knowledge about. But I picked up this CD recently. It's taking a few spins for me to get into....

From: titothetitan Date: January 15, 2020 at 19:39
It's not as strong as the debut but it's a nice follow-up. Production is better, though. 'The Price of Love' amazing song!
