Killer voice perfectly blending Dio & Coverdale. The bonus track 'Stormbringer' is huge. |

VERY GOOD CD 87/100 CLASSIC METAL like SABBATH/DIO even darker it's not a instant classic because there is some hooks missing but it's F....ing Good ! In fact this guy is so talented that even average songs are great in his mouth ! The musicians are very hot and they are one of the best CLASSIC METAL band out there ! The style is DARKER than ever, with more DIO influences than PAST album ! I think 'hellfire' is a true classic song who deserve to be know by a larger audience ,so good move but i still prefer the original version from the huge BEYOND TWILIGHT album in 2001 And yes , maybe one or two really outstanding tracks could have make this album a TRUE CLASSIC ! Instead it's'just' another very good album by JORN ! and we all know that JORN can any classic track perfectly...SO now listen to 'stormbringer' unbelievable buy or listen to bloody NIR%'A for ever |

Awesome album from this nordic king of Metal..hell yeah!!!.I completely agree with Yngwieviking's comment...strong voice and the Dio influence is far a hook in here!!!.('Night City').The Rest of the album stands alone by itself ('Lonely Are...','Hellfire','Shadow...').A good release for this year and another fine example of good melodic but yet heavy music.90/100 |

Quite dissapointed about this one. Im a big fan of Jorn, but this one is NOT as good as previous releases. Its way too 'odd' heavy to me. Some of the tracks are fine, but some are a total RIP off of previous tracks released by Jorn. Cant wait till his next release, because this one really dissapointed me. |

What should I say.....one of the best hard rock/metal vocalists in the world, ever, delivers a very good album but not the CLASSIC we're all waiting for. Some GREAT songs, but there is also some things I'm not overly happy with on Jorn's solo albums. The tempo and lack of variation for example. I'd love to hear a little more of the melodic/commercial style and a few more uptempo songs. No matter how good some songs are, they sound too similar and the album sounds monotonous. With that said, he ALWAYS deliver quality stuff and every year he has one or two albums on my best of the year lists...and this one is no exception. Lonely Are The Brave is a more straight forward, guitar driven album than the previous solo efforts. A more old school metal direction with a very dynamic sound, based on solid rythmic riffs. Overall I miss the GREAT and BIG choruses on the album but I like the direction taken here. The title track, Shadow People, Promises & The Inner Road are all fantastic songs. |

Kinda have to agree with Figge here. It is another great disc and the title track is just a monster. I love it, but I too would love to see a few more really huge melodic choruses. That'd be great. I've mentioned elsewhere, also, I actually hear a bit of Axel Rudy Pell on this disc for whatever reason, but this is still high quality stuff. Good solid hard rock disc. |

Very good HardRock/Metal, Jorn has been very influenced by Ronnie James DIO and that you can notice on this album. The great opener 'Lonely Are the Brave'(my fav), 'War of the World' and 'Night City'(DIO reminds me a lot!!) my favs. Good production but i expected more Killer guitar solos and more killer songs.. But it's a good purchase. 8.5/10 |

At the Olympic games of metal, JORN gets a gold medal for his latest and greatest opus, a raging slab of fiery molten metal that takes the classic DIO blueprint and injects it with extra balls and metal!!! Heavy as fuck yet remaining melodic and tuneful, this is the best album of it's type for many a year and as for that voice, well words don't do it justice, BUY BUY BUY....AWESOME 90/100 |
