very good aor.this band sounds very much like toto that they could actually be toto!!!.the leader of the pack here is larry hagopian who wrote all the songs and produced the whole affair...he didnt do a bad job of it either!!. |

I really can recommend this one to those who are into the more softer side of AOR.So if you like ALLIANCE(82),TOTO, and SHELTER(First stop) you should own a copy of this one to... |

I have only one song Bigger Than Blue( from Glory Daze) and this is terrific song!!!! |

Being that Larry Hagopian was my cousin and good friend for many years, I must say that I have listened to this album for many years and will always love it! There is some remarkable talent here and that will never be forgotten! |

If you combine the best of early Toto with bits of Beau Coup, then this is where Outrider end up. Thrown into the mix is a bit of gratuitous saxophone, and where called upon lends a bit of color which gives the album a West Coast sheen. Overall, the album is extremely listenable. Occasionally you'll see it lying around the Internet somewhere. If you like Toto then it's worth checking out, and it certainly will sit very nicely among the rest of your melodic rock CD collection. |

THIS Outrider needs to get classified in the proper category from the OTHER Outrider listed on this site! This IS NOT "Southern Rock"! This is some of the best up-tempo West Coast style AOR ever! The title track is one of those desert island songs! You could want to hear it forever! I got this back when it sold for $100 or more (when that was a lot for a rare cd!), now I belive there is a digipak re-issue? Anyway, holding on to my original cause it's always sounded just fine! 9.5/10! |

If you like Toto, then you must have this. Excellent West Coast AOR all the way. Someone above commented about remarkable talent, and a talented band they certainly were. My only complaint is that this is one of those cd's that is way too short being only 32 odd minutes. Very highly recommended if you can find it though. |

This one is not for me.Ok songs dont get me wrong but i am missing the drive and the punch here. Well crafted but nothing special. Overrated IMO. Geoff avoid this one |

I totally agree with Jez, if TOTO or the likes are your kind of bands, get this one, 'cos it's really beautiful POP/AOR/WEST COAST CD. There are two lead vocals on this, not one. |

Another amazing cd I’ve heard again recently after several years.I think here sing 3 person,2 are great and one is less good but appreciable anyway. If you like Toto this is a must IMO.9/10. |

This is pants!!! nothing like Alias, Atlantic, Bad English, or Giant if you like boring pop (with Sax) then this is for you. Only got to track 3 took it out (coz I thought it was a joke) and placed it back into the case never to be played again...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!! |

this is a west coast/aor release by outrider that is nearly perfect for me.wonderful songs, huge keyboards, much of talent, plenty of feeling and the result is big.listen to "i ve been gifted with your love"."there s no way out","mourning rain" and the great keyboards in "bigger than blue".i was surprised by the excellent musicianship andthe only thing is that i would like more guitar work in it.overall this is a melodic gem |

Old school AOR is what we have in here!!!.a band that probably had Toto as their biggest influenced as you can notice some similarities even in the way Mr Flynn sings (ala Steve Lukather)...another possible comparissons could be Le Roux and Player..."Mourning Rain" is a very good song,"Turn Away" is a very nice smooth track, really liked the chorus, the whole song basically,"Love Is Killing Me" is a highlight number,"I've Been Gifted By Your Love" could easily be the best track of the album,"My Love Will Never Die" is a catchy one,a fave too,"There's No way Out" is a goodie and "Bigger Than Blue" closes the album as it was opened, with a very good song, another smoothie one...an album that is balanced with mid tempos, ballads and good AOR songs...pretty enjoyable indeed if u like the "old sound" of AOR..the classic one!.90/100 |
