One of the best aor releases. Everyone I've played it for liked it more than any of his other albums.

This is perhaps one of my ALL time favorite albums. What a great singer/songwriter.

From: MJ (Marla) Date: February 1, 2004 at 1:45
MAN!!!! I have to say a big thank you to TIM for reminding me about this release!!! I love this one too!! Great melody, great harmonies, great lyrics, lol....GREAT everything!!! Forgot how much I love this!!! Favorite is probably "Tell The Truth" .... "Blame It On Fate".....or maybe "Start The Car"!! Hard call!!!

From: James Date: February 1, 2004 at 3:44
didn't Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades write a song for this album. did they do background vocals as well?

From: MJ (Marla) Date: February 1, 2004 at 4:26
Hey James....they're not credited for any writing on this. It only shows James Newton Howard, Ron Aniello and a George Green as co-writing anything with Jude. They DID sing harmony and back up on "Worlds Apart". And wow......lol....(it pays to read these things)....Sass Jordan sang in "Start The Car"!!! I KNEW that I knew that voice!!! LOL!!!

From: TIM Date: February 1, 2004 at 11:24
James, MJ is right. The credits actually change from song to song. That's probably why I didn't add them all when I submitted this one way back. I'll try to go back later and add all of these. Definately want to add that Jude Cole and James Newton Howard did the production. Tommy Shaw, Jack Blades, and Sass Jordan ought to be mentioned also. Not sure J.C on bass is right either. Shows "all guitars" from what I see. I'll look more closely later.

just asking because i thought that Tommy & Jack had something to do with this album. wanted to see if my memory was playing tricks on me or not.

From: Kyle Date: April 14, 2004 at 10:15
Perhaps one of the best rock/pop album. The songs are well crafted and well played. If you are looking for inspiration in writing a great pop song, listen to this! Beside, any rock album with piano is quite alright with me.

From: Metalhead66 Date: February 18, 2005 at 11:44
I only liked the title song...the rest nahh...Too Poppy.

From: HaremScarem Date: December 18, 2006 at 15:25
Auténtica maravilla, como es la discografía en general de Jude Cole. Los temas 3, 4, 7 y 11 son mis preferidos. AOR del más exquisito. Junto con el "A view from 3rd Street", éste es su mejor disco. 9,25/10.

From: Whitesnake Date: December 29, 2006 at 3:47
This is one of my favourite cds. I am looking for an album similar to this one. Can You guys recommend anything? Normally AOR doesn`t sound like this. This one is kind of laidback and bluesy. Jude Cole`s voice is so great and the sound on the cd is excellent too.

From: Photochromic Steve Date: June 19, 2008 at 16:55
This and View From Third Street are Jude Cole's best albums, with this one just shading it. Packed with good quality songs.

From: qwest Date: November 17, 2009 at 12:56
I like this guy.Kind of average AOR-WESTCOAST-BLUESY- in a decent way ,we have to respect him for this effort.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: January 5, 2011 at 19:29
More than bluesy i'd say that this is more of a Tom Petty,Bruce Hornsby type of thing with some AOR here and there..mellow songs but with a good dosage of rhythm tha saves it from boredom(for some, not in my case )..."Start The Car" is kinda ,"Worlds Apart" could be in any Tom Petty album,"Tell The Truth" is a killer ballad and my fave one off the album,a beautiful video was done of this song,"First Your Money(Then Your Clothes)","It Comes Around" & "Blame It On Fate" are also recommendable ones...if you like kinda of relaxed but with some edge songs, try this one...87/100
