I guess i'm one of the lucky ones to have this CD...Its not as good as 'Start the Car' or 'A View from 3rd Street'...But i like it a lot....If you can find it...get it....

Hmm, my opinion was exactly the opposite. I was never enamored with Start the Car, so I wondered what all the buzz was about. This effort is considerably better, IMHO.

i want this cd.could anyone want to sell it?. I have over 1000 original cds in my melodic collection. contact:haremscarem@eresmas.com.

From: TIM Date: April 7, 2002 at 6:45
I agree with 10KLoversN1, Start the Car and A View From 3rd Street are way better. The only reason I would buy this is to sell it on Ebay for $152. Good thing I bought a cassette of this- it's not the music Jude Cole is known for. If you like Dan's taste in music, then you might like this one better.

At least i have the original cd!!. I´ve won it on Ebay for only 30$!!!!. It´s a pretty good perform by Jude, i think it have a certain Westcoast good flavour. The best songs are 'Like Lovers Do', Something That You Want', Walls That Bend', 'You Were In My Heart' and 'Crying Mary'.I think it´s a good album, but Start The Car is The best CD By Jude Cole. Very, Very Rare Cd; If You see it...GET IT!!! For contact:haremscarem@eresmas.com

I have always been a fan of Jude, no matter what material he produces! I have everything except his first album, which I aim to get someday (if I can find it!). All his music is very good, and I think START THE CAR is his most heart-felt album to date. I enjoy the bluesy/rock feel of VIEW FROM 3rd STREET and the acoustic feel of DON'T KNOW WHY I ACT THIS WAY.

From: West Of Sunset Date: April 4, 2003 at 2:42
I have all jude,s CDs (from his very rare original debut CD from 1987, to his last relase called 'Falling Home' relased in 2000). In each album he reflects a great quality and a personal label.I,m very proud to own his first titled CD original ´cause is not easy to find. This one has got a special taste and is more melodic and polished than the others, but i like it a lot.My favourite Jude Cd is 'A View...'.This debut CD is a very rare jewel and if you find it, buy it!!. 9/10 very fine effort!!!

I saw a movie once called Truth Or Consequences with Kiefer Sutherland, I think Jude Cole made a song for that movie, It's played in the beginning of the movie, if anyone know about this, and what album the song is on, Please let me know. avforhelvede@hotmail.com

From: TYTAN3K Date: April 20, 2003 at 20:41
Song's called 'Heaven's Last Attempt' and appears on Jude's album 'Why Do I Act This Way.'

From: Oliver Date: April 21, 2003 at 11:32
This is a rare but not a great one. Average AOR; for sure Start The Car + View From 3rd Street are a lot better.

From: Kristian Date: April 21, 2003 at 18:44
Thanks Oliver!

From: Kristian Date: May 22, 2003 at 12:41
Does anybody know where I can find 'Why Do I Act This Way.' I've searched every online cd store that I know of, and nobody seems to have it. what year was it released?

From: TYTAN Date: May 25, 2003 at 4:37
Well I found this CD a few years ago in a used bin for $6.00...yes, you read right, $6.00. I bought it just to complete my Jude Cole collection. I had no idea it was worth as much as it is....I almost crapped when I saw the prices it was going for on eBAY. Good CD, I still prefer Start The Car and A View From Third Street though.

Kristian: I've got a copy of I Don't Know Why I Act This Way (1995). Let me know if you want to set up a trade. I don't usually trade commercial releases, but if it's out of print I suppose I'll make an exception. --Ben (hurtstotalktoyou@yahoo.com)

From: Marquis Date: June 14, 2003 at 22:37
Kristian, Jude's I Don't Know Why I Act this Way is indeed out of print. But that is the album that contains the song you are looking for. As for Jude's self titled release, take it for what it is and when it was released. His label back then was obviously trying to mold him into a Rick Springfield clone. The CD is excellent for its time, but I find his other releases to be timeless. Just an excellent singer songwriter whose writing gets better with each release.

Can someone please tell me if this Jude Cole is similar to Eddie Money or Glenn Burtnick??

From: peter poland Date: February 11, 2004 at 17:13
Very good, i'd say great album. It's very specific, in so many ways it's very special kind of AOR. Not so many people in the ocean of AOR sounds like him. Highly recommended

From: COOL BREEZE Date: April 29, 2004 at 18:45
Ah..yes.. A rare one and a great one! As with all of Jude's releases there is always some I love, some I really like, and maybe one just okay and or one I don't even care for.Whatever the release they are all excellent in their own way! As for "Heaven's Last Attempt" you might be surprised to hear dialog from Kiefer during the song! Also, as of note I would say Jude is MUCH more Burtnik than Money!

From: TIM (2) Date: May 26, 2004 at 4:47
I would say Jude Cole is more Stan Meissner than anyone else. Slightly more acoustic-sounding, but vocally he's very similar (especially to Stan's awesome "Undertow" CD). His newer stuff is a bit darker than the earlier CDs, but to be honest they're all good additions to your collection. "Start the Car" is the most consistent album, but my favourite track is his only hit to date: "Baby It's Tonight" from "A View....".

ONE MASTERPIECE FOR ANY AOR COLLECTOR.

From: peter poland Date: December 27, 2004 at 3:54
''Something that You Want'' is one of the best Jude's songs, however A view from 3rd street is his best album.

From: West Of Sunset Date: May 18, 2007 at 9:58
Wounded Bird records will reissue this cd soon!!! A great notice and a good chance to obtain this gem. I think this one is more AOR oriented than the others and is more laid back, but is a phenomenal album. 8/10

From: juan carlos Date: June 27, 2007 at 11:28
Buenos temas y bien elaborados pero que no lo podría considerar como clásicos, "Something that You Want", "Life of Luxury", "Walls that Bend" y la balada "You Were in My Heart" lo mejor en ese orden. La voz de Jude Cole me recuerda horrores a Van Stephenson sobre todo en los dos primeros temas y tambien a Stan Meissner como no.. Buen Disco de LiteAOR. 8/10

From: YIRO SEVENTH Date: October 24, 2007 at 22:17

He shows his best on this...

From: happy2849 Date: January 21, 2011 at 14:58
Thought I found a treasure, muisc wise, when an original of this turmed up in a used music store a few years ago for $2.99. While it's not badit just did not suit my tastes at the time. Maybe a little too poppy or something! Sold it!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: June 16, 2011 at 15:02
Just got this recently...pleasant album with good songs but his 3rd release "Start The Car"(1992) is a lot better IMHO...favourites:"Walls That Bend","You Were In My Heart"(nice ballad),"Life Of Luxury" & "Everyone's In Love"(nice)...85/100
