I'd call them lite AC/DC with more melody, not lite AOR Or simply rock'n'roll. Anyone who wants to test them out should download these... Talk Big, Never Gonna Die, Run To Paradise, Rendezvous, Our Empire Falls |

very very good release by CHOIRBOYS with a great production ,catchy songs and fine musicianship!their sound is very easy and groovy and maybe they remind me a bit of NUCLEAR VALDEZ,especially in the vocal harmonies!"boys will be boys","big bad noise" and "fireworks"(later "trat me right") the best moments!recommended! |

A bit of a classic here in Australia and the band still tours on the strength of the timeless single "Run to Raradise" which is a favourite of anyone after a few beers. Choirboys are your basic Pub Rock band, in the second wave alongside bands like Screaming Jets. Of course they have that 80s sheen that for the most part the first wave of ACDC, The Angels and Rose Tattoo didn't bother with. But the album is much more than just the song mentioned earlier. Boys Will Be Boys is a typical pub rock gang shouter, Struggle Town is a good blue-collar tune and the title track is also great. Overall a nice release worthy of any collection. |
