This is made up of tracks that have influenced the band over the years, and there are some nice choices of songs on here (along with a couple of not so good it has to be said). Things kick off with 'Sharp Dressed Man' which to be honest, along with 'The Boys Are Back..' are the worst two tracks on here. More interesting are he covers of The Allman Brothers' songs. Hatchet have been covering 'Dreams I'll Never See' since the debut album, so no surprises with this one, but a nice addition is their version of 'Melissa' which is very good indeed. The Eagles songs are ok, although strange hearing Phil McCormacks gruff vocals, especially on 'Desperado' - a beautiful song for sure, but I'mnot sure if this one works or not. The standout of the album is definitley 'Wild Horses', which has always been a great song, but they certainly take it to new heights and do a fantastic version on here. So,a general thumbs up all in all, and for a covers album, not a disaster like some I have heard.

Love the guitar tone on "Melissa" & McCormack's vox fits well here for sure. The other slower classic tunes also are definitely the highlights. Of course another recorded version of "Dreams" could never hurt either. lol

Excellent covers done by a mighty yet underrated band...the Hatchets come here with songs that have influenced them through out the years plus some live bonus tracks of their own material(3 killer ones!)...i found all the covers pretty good(not any weak one,at least 4 me)...of course if u are a beginner in Molly Hatchet's music buy albums such as "Greatest Hits"(1985) that brings memorable songs from the band..this one..a straight 95/100..is that too high for a rating in here???...i don't think so!...well deserved Molly!...keep us Hatching with your music forever...
